The Quick Fix Drive-Thru

Bold coffee and appreciative service!

My favorite is the plonk muffin and a soy latte. They do a good job here, friendly workers. Coffee is good too.

Okay, okay. Quick Fix is better than Starbucks. Alright Alright.
I have no idea if I’ll ever go here again. I stopped by because I needed a coffee fix on my way to SD for comic con. Their specialty drinks here are really what had me hooked.
I don’t remember the name of the one I had, but it was a iced vanilla coffee with caramel and white chocolate mocha. WHAT??? If my coffee sounds that crazy, imagine my meals??? Okay, getting a little off topic. The coffee was delicious and had a great amount of kick and sweetness.
The worker was just a single woman. She was talking to her friend as she was making her drink, so I didn’t mind much. She also made me pay less for the drink than was posted (though she may have not been paying attention). The worker was very nice, and I feel for her being in that little area for god knows how long. I got my quick-​fix. When are you getting yours?

Being from the Pacific Northwest, on this blustery day in SD all I wanted was a coffee from a drive thru stand… namely crusin coffee or woods (holla!) but… alas…Southern California with your sunshine filled patios, not so much with the drive thru decent coffee. THEN! beam of light through the sideways rain, right off Encinitas Blvd exit from the 5 heading west, on the right, behind the gas station is: QUICK FIX!
I’m not gonna lie… it looks sketch, kind dinky and perhaps even run down… but I was feeling so nostalgic (and half asleeo) and for gods sake, wearing my nice uggs, I wasn’t gonna get out of my car anywhere! Caffine chance I took and was rewarded.
Firstly! the dude stuffed into the tiny space was a smart barista, I asked if he had soy,(they do!) then asked for a vanilla soy latte… he mentions before making my drink that their soy milk is vanilla flavored, and would I just like a soy latte in that case, so it wouldn’t be too sweet? Say wha!!? you mean… coffee that tastes like coffee with a hint of flavor? not coffee that tastes like coffee with 3000 calories and a hint of CAKE? um yes please I would,
Perfect temp, perfect foam, he got a tip, and I didn’t get rained on. LOVE

Excellent coffee! I tried the Mexican Mocha and it was DELICIOUS!

Friendly service, excellent coffee. My first stop of the day.

Go Local! It’s been over a year since I reviewed the Quick Fix and I’m still a regular patron. In fact, they’ve become my go-​to coffee shop. I’m not asking for anything fancy or a wi-​fi hot spot. Just drive up, get my quick fix and I’m off to save the world. Plus, where else can you go and have a fun conversation with your barista to start your day.
While they don’t accept credit, paying ahead with cash and making use of the the frequent buyer’s card is very handy. Just as handy as when Michael Jackson knowing when it’s time to go to bed — when the big hand is on the little hand. Wut.
