Brenda welcomes you into a space where you feel comfortable, motivated, and inspired to workout. Each session is designed and implemented specifically for YOU by a highly qualified Pilates instructor and personal trainer to ensure maximum safety and effectiveness.
Along with promoting a mindful awareness of the body, I strive to co-create with you the attainment of your goals and the enhancement of your life! As a society today, we encounter so many outside distractions that we rarely make the connection to our selves.
Pilates is a safe and effective low impact way to strengthen, stretch and streamline your body. One of the greatest benefits of Pilates is strengthening the core, the muscles of the abdominal region and lower back. Whether your goal is to improve muscle strength and definition, body fat loss, injury rehabilitation, or general fitness, I can help you accomplish those goals.
History
Established in 2009.
Brenda established her quaint Pilates studio in Encinitas in 2009 after relocating from AZ. Brenda McDermott has been teaching Pilates since 1998 and has been a Certified Fitness Trainer for over 15 years. She started her Pilates training in the Stott method of Pilates in Scottsdale, AZ and completed her advanced studies in Toronto, Canada at the Stott corporate headquarters. In 2000, she opened her first studio in a Sports Medicine clinic in Phoenix and a year later expanded into a larger facility of her own in Scottsdale, AZ. Since then she has owned and operated two highly successful Pilates and Personal Training studios prior to moving to San Diego in February 2009. She is fully Stott Certified in all areas of the Pilates method: mat, reformer, Cadillac, barrels, chair and injury and special populations. She furthered her education in the classical Pilates method at The Pilates Center in Boulder. This program is the first and only state-approved Pilates masters program.

Brenda McDermott has been teaching Pilates since 1998 and has been a Certified Fitness Trainer for over 15 years. She is fully Stott Certified in all areas of the Pilates method: mat, reformer, Cadillac, barrels, chair and injury and special populations. She furthered her education in the classical Pilates method at The Pilates Center in Boulder. This program is the first and only state-approved Pilates masters program. Brenda’s vocation is clearly a product of her own lifelong experience. All my life, I have been active – swimming, cycling, running, weight training, –kind of an amateur tri-athlete. I was passionate about fitness and health long before I made it a profession. I believe the most important characteristics of a great trainer are compassion, patience, attention to detail, communication, creativity and continuing education.
