Our «Team» of experienced drivers will keep you SAFE and ON TIME for any destination.

Our vans can handle up to 6 passengers. We have room for all your luggage on the way to all Southern California Airports.

We also can accommodate surfboards for those adventuring to far away dream destinations.

Remember, Swami’s Cab will always send either our Cab or an affiliate that we trust, if they don’t know your name to pick you up they are not a member of the Swami’s Cab Trusted Taxi Association !

Established in 2008.

Swami’s Cab is here so that people can feel safe taking a cab in North County.

Our mission has never been to be the biggest cab company, only to be deemed the best. We feel that if you have to take a cab you might as well have a safe and reliable option available, not just any cab by default with some weirdo in the drivers seat. They say «Ignorance is bliss», we say «Caveat Emptor» or «Buyer Beware».

Ignorance can be costly when choosing a cab company as you can rarely be sure of what you’re going to get. At Swami’s Cab you get people you can count on who are kind, considerate and only interested in helping you in your journeys, whether they be short or long. We are the walking person’s best friend !

I don’t Unilocal,the wife usually does, but this experience left a particularly salty taste in my mouth.
First off, it was twice the cost for the same ride we took to our destination earlier in an Über.
Secondly, and most importantly, was the sketchy aftermath of the ride.
We took a ride from a white bald male from the Del Mar Fairgrounds Sunday evening back to our house in Clairemont. The wives were definitely loud and I’m sure annoying to this driver but I’m sure he has experienced it before. We tipped him $ 30 on a $ 50 fare for the trouble. As we exited the cab and he drove off, I realized I left my phone in the backseat of the van. I called dispatch, and the owner Lance picked up. I told him the situation, and he said he would get in touch with the driver. 2 hours later my wife got a call from the driver. 2 HOURS! The driver acted like he didn’t remember the ride. Like he could forget 3 women talking very loudly to each other and over each other for 20 minutes. After more descriptions of the fare, as if that was needed, he said he remembered but hadn’t seen a phone left behind. I cannot say for sure that the driver took the phone, I’m sure he had other fares in the 2 hours he took to call me back, but what taxi dispatcher/​owner takes 2 hours to get ahold of one of his drivers? It is totally my responsibility for leaving that phone in the van but you should be able to get in contact with a driver immediately in this type of business. We will be sticking to Über and Lyft to say the least. Not even sure how taxi companies are staying afloat, especially with this type of service.

As an addendum to the previous review, this is not a fake review, and I am not an ex employee. This company sucks and the owner is irresponsibly commenting on my experiences with his company. I think you, Lance, should accept the criticism to try and make your company better. Instead of trying to blame others for your shortcomings.
Yes Lance I did write that review and as the first one you had removed states, I and my business used to use Swami’s.
The review is not fake and your company cannot be relied upon, I’m guessing mostly because it’s run by a moron. Instead of blaming people and calling reviews fake because they call out your unethical business practices, look to yourself. Your continued claims this is a fake review only make my point. You are mentally unstable and should not be trusted to safely transport anyone. I also like your email to my Unilocal account from your false account, same one you use to bash other local businesses. Like I said you are unstable and unethical. Yes I know it was you and have the screen shots to go along with it, along with the screen shots of your posts and the defamation described in the post you had removed.

I use Swami’s EVERYTIME I need a ride. The drivers are always friendly and prompt! The cabs are always clean and smell great (which is more than you can say for all cabs).
I am also a restaurant manager and EVERY time I have a customer who needs a ride I call Swami’s! They are reliable, fair, and treat me like family. Lance has personally picked me up from downtown San Diego when I was stranded. Not once, but twice. I have been a loyal customer since I was 20, so I’m speaking from over 10 years experience. Highly recommend Swamis and love to support a local dad/​business owner.

I was hesitant to call for a taxi because of the hit or miss reviews for ALL of the taxi companies on here… but I needed to get somewhere, so I called Swami’s. Mark was great! I called at 8:45AM needing to be picked up at 11:30. Mark called me back at 9:00 to confirm my address, and then showed up 10 minutes early! The hours before he showed up I was stressing out thinking about what I was going to do if the taxi never showed up and my mind immediately goes to things like hitchhiking and bodies in ditches on the side of the road, etc., so you can imagine my relief when Mark gets there EARLY! Anyway he got me to my destination in a safe and timely manner, and we had some laughs along the way. Great experience!

I’m literally writing this review in between the time Swami’s cab did not show up as scheduled and awaiting another taxi from another company.
I called in the morning to schedule my pick-​up time with someone who seemed friendly enough. I provided my name, number, address, pickup time, etc. with no problems– the standard stuff.
At the scheduled pick up time Swami’s didn’t arrive. 10 minutes later I called Swami’s to find out where my cab was. The phone rang at least a dozen times before someone actually picked up. I was almost sure it was going to voice mail.
The guy who finally answered asked me a gazillion questions about what time earlier today I made the reservation, who I spoke to, did I call the right company (yeah, I redialed the number in my phone), etc. and when I asked him how he doesn’t know if a cab was coming or not, his excuse was «I just came on shift and don’t know what’s going on.» Clearly our reservation was lost. When I asked him again whether a cab was coming, he hung up on me.
I did call back to let him know that he could expect this lovely 1 star review though. Enjoy!

I just discovered Swami’s Cab and I highly recommend them. The drivers are fast, friendly, and know the area well! Plus, they take credit cards and will e-​mail you your receipt. If you have a large party, they also have nice Toyota minivans (Siennas) at their disposal. Will use Swami’s for all my taxi-​ing needs in North County! For you surfers out there, they’re business card says: «No Kooks Allowed!»

I call a cab pretty often. I think Swami’s is the best night time cab (haven’t used them much in the day time to have an opinion on day time service like air port runs but I’m sure they would be great for that too) I just know that some times cabs have poor communication or misquote arrival time, that is not the case with this service. Good job guys!

Terrible. Called 3 hours ahead of time to get a short cab ride to dinner on new years. Received a text to confirm but then no one showed 3 hours later and no one would return my texts or calls. We ended up having to drive ourselves and barely made our reservation. As much as I try and stick with local businesses won’t use them again.

I gave them a call tonight after reviewing over the Unilocal listings of cab services. I’ve used them before and they are really reliable and expedient. Tonight I reached out to Lance to help give my car a jump. He was there within 15 minutes as he predicted. He really helped me out and was very friendly and I’ll be using his services in the future. We used Swami’s for a ride from Solana Beach to the airport. Phil was awesome. Not only was he early, but he also speaks English and didn’t reek of cheap cologne (bonus!). I would definitely recommend these Encintas locals for all of your North County transportation needs whether it’s a ride to the airport or a taxi after a night of boozing.

Swami’s is our go to for taxi service in North County. After calling around for quotes, Swami’s offered the only one that sounded right. Lance was responsive by email and our driver called that day, was early to get us and charged only $ 10 – 12 to get to the train station from our place.
The minivan had leather interior and was very clean. Our driver was friendly and drove smoothly. These guys run a solid business and will continue to have ours in the future.

Phil at Swami’s cab; (760) 415‑9698 was our unofficial tour guide and driver on a recent trip to Solana Beach. We had 18 hours to play at the coast and he recommended and then took us to great places… happy hour, a music venue, and then late night dinner. Phil was reliable and fun.
