History

Established in 2010.

Nectar is a different kind of photo studio. We bring contemporary advertising and fashion style to portrait photography. NECTAR is a group of design professionals — art directors, shooters, and designers — working together to create exceptional images of style, energy and fun. We believe that it is time for a change and to turn studio portraiture on its head. We want people to believe that it is possible to have portraits of ourselves that are both stylish and expressive, that have narrative quality, that can capture a «look» or emotion using the combined skills of a photographer, a trained graphic designer and an art director. We want to popularize the same look and creativity that until now have been reserved only for the elite who have access to New York agencies or who feature in popular magazine ads.

Opening doors in June 2010, the studio is looking for upscale, style conscious San Diegans to be drawn like bees to honey for the way it will make them look and feel.
