We now work with multiple private and charter schools to provide on site tutoring as well as in home tutoring!

Mrs. Owl’s Tutors was started by Vanessa Reed. Vanessa is a credentialed teacher with years of teaching, tutoring, and professional education development experience.

Vanessa found her services to be in such high demand that she started to have to turn away new students, so she decided to expand! She chooses tutors who share her educational values and experience. Mrs. Owl’s Tutors focuses on helping students reach their amazing potential while also supporting their academic confidence!

Business Owner

Vanessa Reed has been a credentialed elementary school teacher, a Professional Development Presenter for Los Angeles Unified School District and Solana Beach School District, and a Reading Clinician for Lindamood-​Bell. She believes in supporting students in their schoolwork while also improving their confidence and higher order thinking skills.

She began tutoring in 2010 and decided to expand in 2013 due to her tutoring services being in high demand!

She has lived in Encinitas, CA since 2010 with her husband, Roger, and their dogs, Lula and Neko.
