Mario Godinez, DDS

I’m writing as the wife of a recent patient of Dr. Godinez. We were recommended Dr. G by a dear friend who has high regard for him and his practice. My husband came Dr. G rather wounded from years of dental problems and so ready for the feeling of normal again.
Day one… As we come into the front door of his office in Encinitas, we were enveloped with a welcoming atmosphere and a friendly greeting from Alex. She immediately embraced us (always included me) and made us feel she cared and knew exactly what our needs were and that they understood our pain and would be with us every step of the way. It was easy to see that Alex was the heartbeat of this wonderful practice. Coffee, tea, water and all the comforts of home were always there for us. But the «we care» attitude gave us HOPE…
Upon meeting Dr G… His warmth immediately won us over. His professionalism was apparent but his personal, non-​condescending mannerism as he listened to us, yes really listened was so refreshing. He gave a comprehensive plan for what my husband would be going through and… we were his patient.
The months of work on my husband, the tweaking… and the finish line was here. My husband’s ‘ready smile’ says it all and we owe it to Dr G. Nothing can really show our appreciation for the feeling of wholeness and good health.
Thank you, Dr. G, Alex, and Carmen with the biggest smile we know how to make. You are the best!!!

Absolutely incredible practice. I have been living on the islands before moving to California for work and needed a lot of work done. Dr Godinez and Alexandra are incredibly patient with me and my schedule (as well as me always being on Hawai’i time. late!).
In addition, the dental hygenist does a phenomenal job at thoroughly cleaning teeth and educating on proper flossing and oral care. I am so very pleased that when I move back to HI I am considering coming back once a year just to get cleaning and follow up done. Big thumbs up. Mahalo nui loa!

As a new patient, I was beyond pleased with my experience with Dr. Godinez and his staff. They got me in quickly, were super friendly, and were conscious of my needs. The dental treatment and results were also excellent.
But I really wanted to write this review because Dr. Godinez showed me a great deal of respect as a patient. Neither condescending nor patronizing, he was willing to discuss our options, course of treatment, and alternatives. I felt like he only wanted the best for me, and did not push me in any one direction as other dentists have in the past. I’ll be sending the rest of my family to this practice, and feel truly relieved to have found a trustworthy caretaker for all of us.

I had been looking for a new dentist for awhile and I got a recommendation from a friend who said I should really give this office a try and so I did just that today. I had my first teeth cleaning appointment with Dr. Godinez’s office and I don’t even know where to begin about my experience. The moment I walked in I was greeted by a VERY outgoing and happy receptionist named Lindsey! She was so helpful with all my new client paperwork and answered every question I had. My hygienist was amazing and so thorough and also answered all my questions. Dr. G was so personable and made me feel very at ease with everything he was informing me about. I’m so happy I found my dentist!

I just had to write a one of these! I’ve had nothing but great experiences with Dr.Godinez. About every tooth in my mouth has had some kind of work done and because of previous bad dentists I tend to get a little anxiety when it comes to receiving treatment. The last office I went to left me with nothing but bad experiences and pain to relate… Dr. Godinez however takes the time to let me know about my treatment and options. Not once have I ever felt rushed during an appointment & the staff there makes you feel just as welcomed! I definitely recommend this office! :)

Dr. Godinez and his staff are the best! My kids actually get excited over going to the dentist and argue over who gets to go first! Great office, great service, great experience.

The best Dentist and Dental office in San Diego. The front desk staff is friendly and knowledgable. Most importantly, Dr. G, his hygienist, and dental assistant are extremely professional, but not stand offish. Very personable and approachable. We have had some interesting dentists in the past, and when you find a great one, you stick to him/​her. Besides, being a great Dentist, he seems to be a loving father and husband. Great Character!!! Keep up the fantastic job!

I don’t write reviews very often but in this case, it was a MUST! Dr. Mario Godinez and his staff are wonderful! Dr. Godinez is such a comforting, gentle dentist. Always so caring, knowledgeable and professional. I’ve had a lot of dentistry done in the past but none as comfortable as with Dr. Mario Godinez. Bonus: The office is immaculately clean, really shows that they take pride in their office. I would highly recommend Dr. Mario Godinez.

We recently moved to Encinitas and were looking for a new dentist. Dr. Godinez is located down the street from us so we decided to give him a try. All I can say is this is what a dentist should be. His entire staff was so helpful and friendly. His office was very clean and organized. I had a lot of questions and in past experiences have felt very rushed. Dr. Godinez took the time to answer all my questions and was very thorough in his exam. I would 100% recommend him!
