The Company maintains a significant client base in the restaurant/​retail, real estate, and healthcare industries with an increasing workload in Accounting for Income Taxes (ASC 740) and multi-​state tax engagements. Established in 1997.

Tim Halverson established Halverson & Company in 1997 after serving as a finance officer for Chart House Enterprises, Inc. for 10 years and a tax manager at Arthur Andersen & Co. for 7 years.

Meet the Business Owner

Timothy H.

Business Owner

After graduating with Bachelor and Masters degrees in accounting and taxation from Brigham Young University in 1981, Tim spent nearly seven years as a tax manager for Arthur Andersen & Co., specializing in mergers and acquisitions and corporate tax consulting and planning for many diverse industries.

For the next ten years, Tim served as a finance officer and Vice President, Taxation for Chart House Enterprises, Inc., a publicly held national chain-​restaurant company which owned and operated over 100 casual and fine dining restaurants through a consolidated group of corporations. In addition to directing the tax, human resource, payroll and information system departments, Tim also advised on all finance and tax related transactions. During his years with Chart House, Tim was active in National Restaurant Coalition efforts with the Internal Revenue Service and regularly spoke at California educational seminars on finance and tax matters affecting the restaurant industry.
