Pretty awesome frozen yogurt! The tart flavor mixed with sprinkles and m&ms is my personal favorite. There is an abundance of topping choices although there was no whipped cream available at the topping bar. The guy working the register was chill and would go back for yogurt anytime.

This place is immaculate, the guy behind the counter was very engaging and friendly, and they have an awesome assortment of ice cream flavors and toppings. We’ll definitely be back!

These guys are always friendly they do a good job hiring nice staff and the store is always clean. I like the fact that I can sample several flavors — I always get chocolate but like to mix it with another. Great place for cold desert!

I have been here and the Carmel Valley Swirls and they are both one of my favorites. Self Serve with many different flavors to choose from(usually about 8 – 10). You can sample many different ones before finding what you like. Usually go for the Chocolate and Peanut Butter as my go to. favorites Also like the Salted Caramel and the Plain Tart Flavors as well. I usually get coupons(2 for 1) in the mail quite frequently which I take advantage of.

I think it’s safe to say that I’m addicted! LOVE going here on hot, sunny days… Friday nights. Sunday afternoons… who am i kidding– basically whenever the mood strikes right! They have a pretty wide variety of flavors, ranging from tropical watermelon to salted caramel; frequently swapping out old flavors for new ones. They typically have only one dairy free flavor, and it’s not always a winner. I wish they had more options than one as far as that goes. They are really great at advertising with coupons like«buy 1 get 1 free» which we use all the time. They also do punch cards and the 12th one is free. Prices can get pretty expensive if you like a lot of toppings. Their prices are based upon weight, so the more you get, the more you pay, obviously! Trust me, I know this first hand. The Oreo cookie toppings get me every time, I’m tellin ya. $ 18 for some killer fro-yo is great once a week, i guess. But when you add a husband and two sons to that bill, forget about it. All in all, we love the place.

Dangerous if you like sweets! The tasting cups let you taste ALOT ! The service is a little off and on, but I’m sure that’s due to minimum wage.

I find most«buffet» style places to be a bit of a mixed bag. It’s a delicate balance between good food, wide selection, and cleanliness. Some places, like Souplantation, generally do this fairly well, but then the other side of the spectrum has dumps like Hometown Buffet where your precious teeth and sense of shame go to die. Lately, there has been a new phenomenon cropping up in the form of frozen yogurt shops. It used to be just Golden Spoon and possibly a machine at one of the aforementioned buffet places. But now there have been a lot of mom and pop places and a few new franchises appearing everywhere. One of these, Swirls, is where we found ourselves after dinner a few days ago. It’s nice, good selection, and best of all, very clean. Of course, this may have been a function of a slow night where the workers had just had a chance to clean up, but it seemed like they were on top of the counter tops regardless. And, to me, that is kind of the most important part of running a ‘help yourself’ buffet kind of place. Go to Golden Corral and you can see that when a kid sneezes on the mac and cheese, the employees just get a spoon to mix it in as they yawn. Here, they have a rag to immediately wipe up spills, they remove utensils if a kid has handled them to be on the safe side, and the dispensers are all sparkly chrome that just feels copasetic. It tastes pretty good, too. The yogurt is simple, better choices at Golden Spoon or Yogurtland, but their Caramel and Chocolate still have good flavor. So, 4 Stars…

Decided to stop by after grabbing sushi at kaito– it’s located at the shopping plaza near lots of stores! The yogurt place was pretty tiny, simply, n clean– it wasn’t so colorful n cute like many other yogurt places– They didn’t have much flavors. No taro, no pistachio– but they did have red velvet! It was yummy! Good thing ab this place is that it’s clean n have lotta toppings! A good place to satisfy ur yogurt craving but it’s ok place if u wanna hang around n chit chat– even mochis were one colored(white) — I guess I’m spoiled by frutti trutti on Carmel road– :P

I always use a coupon when coming here, buy one get one free. If I didn’t have the coupon I wouldn’t come. I go maybe every other month. The froyo is good, they usually change up the flavors it’s never the same, which I like! People always seem to have a nice attitude and are smiling, if I go I go around 9 or so in the evening. I love that since most places in Encinitas close at 8. It’s worth it if you have a coupon. I make it worth the trip 27 oz in a 16 oz cup will last me about a week.

Love swirls any location. This Encinitas one had the same usual flavors as the del mar store. That is a bummer. Hoping for something different.

The one thing about yogurt places is the number of sticky fingers all over everything with insufficient staff to maintain a standard of cleanliness. Swirls is always pristine with yummy yogurt and topping choices.

Swirls is so-so frozen yogurt place. I would go to red cup over this and Yogurtland over all of them. The flavor selections here are real basic and there are only a few. The pricing is good and the place is clean so its not a bad choice, but I prefer others.

Popular spot to get frozen yogurt in Encinitas! Pretty lively with plenty of kids and their families here. Lots of toppings that you can add to your froyo, the staff is nice, and it’s conveniently located in the TJ Maxx shopping center next to 2Good2B. Also nice that there’s both indoor and outdoor seating!

This is the closest Froyo place to my work, so whenever we want it we go here. I generally like the flavors they have there are usually 1 – 2 I don’t really care for but that’s not a big deal, seeing as they usually have 2 – 3 I like. They have a good selection of toppings, and I happen to like the Styrofoam cups.(say what you will about being green and all, but it does keep it cold longer) The store is always super clean, and that is where my issue with this place is also. When you are getting toppings there is ALWAYS an employee standing over the toppings adjusting the spoons you use, RIGHT after you use them. Always makes me feel like its an inconvenience to them that I want toppings, and that’s no fun. The last time I was in here the girl fixing the spoons grabbed one the second I put it down, and I wasn’t able to return the spoon I was currently using until after she was done adjusting. I understand wanting to keep them all uniform, but maybe calm down on it a bit. It’s pretty sad that there is literally someone who’s job function during their shift is to fix the spoons! We’re in San Diego, chill a bit! They do offer punch cards, which is pretty cool.

It’s pretty easy to age myself when I start talking about the old days in Encinitas when you had to go to Penguins in the Ralphs Center or TCBY in Wiegand Plaza to get frozen yogurt. Nowadays, the kids have it so easy with about 10 local froyo options. And unlimited toppings! It’s cutthroat in the froyo world, but Swirls is a strong contender. It’s got a small footprint in the BevMo center, but has about 8 to 10 flavors of yogurt, along with a well stocked topping bar. More importantly, they have marshmallow sauce, which everyone knows is the king of dessert sauces. They follow the standard weigh your treat price scheme which is fine, and I was surprised at how little my well appointed froyo cost. They did cheap out on their punch card when they denied us a punch because one of our froyos was 6 cents short of the punch minimum. Regardless, service has been friendly, and they seem to be doing good business. Special regards to the dulce de leche flavor here.
