When it comes to purchasing your first home, it is so helpful to have someone like Darin in your corner. Darin’s years of local experience was a huge asset to an efficient search. There isn’t much he hasn’t seen and his patience and knowledge was so reassuring as we worked through each of our 1001 questions, even by text at 9pm. He is attentive without being pushy, encouraging without creating false hope, and he has a great sense of humor too which made each milestone in the process that much more enjoyable – even the tough ones. We always felt like we had a champion with Darin and that he truly had our backs and best interests at heart. As long as he is in the business, my husband and I will be recommending him to our friends, and counting on him for our future selling and searching.

Darin is just about as good as it gets. I didn’t have a clue what I was looking for in a condo~ my only requirements were no lawn to take care of and a gas range. And I can’t even say I knew what neighborhood I wanted to live in, I was looking for anything «north of the 8, south of the 56, and anything between the coast and the 15.» And somehow, I found an amazing condo in almost 2 months!
He was quick to pick up on the things I liked/​disliked and was able to show me units accordingly. The seller we had to deal with was extremely stubborn and difficult, but Darin kept his cool and managed to negotiate to get me what I wanted. He also knew the value of a home, if things were over/​undervalued, how much it would cost for renovations and the value that the renovations would add to the property value.
Darin was completely accessible throughout my whole process, was constantly available via phone, email or text. It was my first home purchase and I never had a question as to where we were in the closing process and what the next steps were. He’s a pitbull and will do anything to make the deal happen, even if that means leaving his sons t-​ball game to show me a unit that I was dying to see, and knocking on neighbors doors to get the «inside scoop.»
I managed to break my ankle a couple of days after opening escrow (which resulted in 2 surgeries!) and was stressed because I wasn’t able to be there for the inspection, appraisal and final walk through, but Darin was there for every appt and made me feel like I could trust him to make sure everything worked out. He even brought all the loan documents to my house for my signature, since I wasn’t able to drive.
So many people have made comments that my entire process was so quick and went to smoothly and I give all the credit to Darin. I have recommended Darin to friends/​family in the past, and will continue to highly recommend Darin to anyone looking to sell or purchase.

I highly recommend Darin Charp and team if you are looking to buy or sell real estate in San Diego. Darin is extremely professional, honest and knowledgable about the market. His experience has proved to be very helpful in buying a couple of rentals locally and negotiating the best price for me.
