First off I really like the location being so close to Moonlight Beach. I always park near the beach and walk over to check out the store. The staff are friendly and polite here and it’s a great place to give your own donations.
I am giving this place 4 Stars and not 5 only because I have never actually shopped for anything other than Books and DVD here this far. That being said the variety of books here is amazing! I always leave this place with at least 5 novels, which usually adds up to an whooping $ 10! There are always tons of best sellers here and I never have trouble finding new books to read. If you read a lot but break the bank with your habit I would suggest going here. You won’t be disappointed! The icing on top of the cake is that your money goes to a great cause at the end of the day :) everyone wins!

CRC makes it so easy to donate and Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. You drive right up to the front of the building and they have two people that will help get the donations out of your car (rain or shine!) and then ask if you want a receipt. You don’t even have to get out of your car! Time to clean out your closets and donate those things you’re no longer using so someone else can appreciate them :)

I always find great stuff here. My recent awesome finds were 7 for all mankind jeans ($ 25), a old two drawer solid wood card catalogue drawer ($ 20), Justin leather cowboy boots ($ 12), a leather bag ($ 13), and a vintage Ross woman’s bike ($ 30). Note that the boots and the bag were during their 50% off yellow tag sale (they do this regularly but I am not sure which weekend during the month, I was here during the 1^st weekend) so they weren’t originally priced that cheap. Its kinda hit or miss with the pricing, sometimes their prices are great, and sometimes they are a little high. I always seem to find awesome stuff here in my size for prices that I think are fair, so I have nothing to complain about.
All their items are usually in good condition, and the store is laid out in a easy to navigate way. And they take credit, also awesome.

Lots of cool stuff and it’s for a great cause. For a thrift store, though, I found it to be overpriced. (Almost subtracted a star for that.) But as I mentioned, it’s going to a good cause — so I’m not over-​the-​top upset about it.
They do take credit cards, though, so that makes up for the star that I *almost* deducted.

I have no idea how this place has ever received more than 3 stars. The selection can be excellent but the prices are astronomical for a thrift store. My neighbor mentioned that she had donated stuff to this location and had seen it on the shelf priced higher than she had purchased it for new.
I once found a gorgeously-​tacky corner shelf here that would have been perfect for my small apartment kitchen but it was priced at $ 120.
I understand the rent must drive up the prices, but what is the point in charging people ridiculous costs for used items only to have a beachside location? Don’t waste your money here.

I love this store! I have been shopping here for many years.
Over the years I have gotten many cute things for great prices. Now that they have moved their prices have gone up a bit, but there are still many reasonable priced treasures. Plus the profits go to a great organization. Great for furniture as well. My couch came from this store at a whopping $ 20!!! Actually 70−80% of my home has come from this store.
I highly recommend this place!

I’m going to break this review up in parts, I wholly believe that not every thrift store is perfect at EVERYTHING, but only at certain things.
CLOTHES:
It’s true, you can find better secondhand clothes elsewhere on the 101 (and their «designer» section is a bit tired and overpriced), but you *can* find some gems here, you just have to keep a sharp eye out.
HOUSEWARES:
Every now and then I find something really great here, but not everytime I’m here. Definitely a better selection than the clothes.
BOOKS:
Lots and lots of books. Found a really great book here, pretty normal & decent selection.
FURNITURE:
Huge turnaround of furniture here, and there’s always new things. Especially in the back corner lot outside of the store. Often a bit overpriced, but you can find some things fairly cheap.
Overall, it’s a pretty decent thrift store, just come often :)

Let me begin by saying that I think you can find a decent deal on non-​clothing items here. I scored a pretty sweet picnic set for $ 6 last weekend. They have some unique items that I can’t take home, but like to look at, like old instruments and funny home décor.
But, it seems like the standard here in California is for clothing in thrift shops to be grossly overpriced. Seriously, you want me to pay $ 12 for a used sweater from… some other decade? Or even this decade?
I think my thrift shopping experience has been spoiled by the shops I grew up going to, where you could fill a paper grocery bag as full as you wanted and only pay $ 5. I’m hopeful I’ll find a place like that here, but not yet. And definitely not this place.

I like you. I really like you. The three stars… it’s not you, it’s me. It’s just that compared with other thrift stores you’re on the janky side. Sadly, there isn’t a lot of competition in Encinitas, so I’m satisfied.
I didn’t intend to, but accidentally ended up doing some Christmas shopping here when I spied a book for my mom and Little Mermaid VHS tape for my sister (long story).
Their book section is pretty good for a thrift store. There are the usual torn petticoat/​greasy-​chested romances, but I’ve found some good classics here for $ 1. Try to find a deal like that across the street at BookTales…
Other than that, there are the usual random coffee mugs and picture frames, a decent (women’s) shoe selection, and some clothes (I’m not a fan, but I bet if you poked around you could find a good deal).
I’ll definitely be back because I can ride my bike here. I just have to make sure that I bring something to carry the books I will inevitably buy.

I would give the CRC one star if the «home» department wasn’t apart of it, I’ve found a owl salt and pepper shaker set once that was in really good condition and very cute. The «designer» section in the clothing portion is extremely dated and way overpriced. It’s pretty disgusting since everything is donated and you can find up to date, way cheaper designer in Flashbacks just down the street. We’ve even donated what we can’t sell at Flashbacks to the CRC only to see the price jacked up 3 or 4 times. It’s not affordable and whoever does the pricing doesn’t know the value of the merchandise at all, even when the price tag is still attached.

I think its a great Thrift Store, I go there alot and have gotten alot of good things in both shops, They have great clothes and tons of great books too. Everything is priced well, and I usually allways find things I like. It’s very busy and they are allways putting out new stuff, so if you see something, you better get it then cause the next day it will be gone. I have never seen any broken stuff and seriously the volunteers do not bring their kids to work with them, it’s the shoppers who let their kids run all over the place.

I like this thrift shop as they do attract some unusual items and some necessities. I believe in buying old and the concept of recycling to reduce global warming, but the prices here are on the expensive side for a second-​hand place. Sometimes if you get there at the right moment you will find something great. Furniture is always placed on the sidewalk so you can drive by daily to check out what’s new. Saturday’s are a good time to find new items.
The proceeds do go to helping abused women and children which is a good thing.
