We were recommended Kenneth Stein by my son’s violin teacher, and we were very happy with our experience. We needed a strong ½ size violin for an advancing player. We were ecstatic with the quality that we were offered for that size. Many professionals were also amazed at the sound quality from such a small instrument. Ken set up our instrument with precision, even changing strings and asking what we thought of the tone. He knows quality and value, and he shares his insights with his customers. He genuinely wants customers to be happy with their instruments, and this earnest professionalism trickles down to his employees who are helpful and genuinely care about the client needs. We have been customers for over two years, and they have always been great to work with. They have a very fair trade-​in and buy-​back policy for instruments and bows, even giving rental credit to potential buyers. So happy to have found this violin shop!

Was looking for cello for my son and was met with an excellent experience. We invited our teacher and were able to audition a dozen cellos– total over kill but was great to hear the difference between each instrument. Ken also has an amazing policy for purchasing instruments with their buyback and trade up policies which makes the process of dropping a large amount of money much more palatable. They also know what they are taking about! Jean who’s a professional cellist gave great insight to each instruments and was super patient and kind and can play and make you laugh! Ken was direct and very easy to work with and is one of those guys that you want to support– honest with support to the local music community. High recommend!
