Carpets of Elmhurst

Ken at Carpets of Carpets of Elmhurst did a fantastic job getting my upstairs carpeted in a small window of opportunity. The carpet is beautiful and installed perfectly. Then he created the perfect rug for our dining room again in a very timely fashion. He knows his products and is helpful without being pushy in any way.

Ken Yeager, the owner is a wonderful guy and very knowledgeable and helpful. A couple of weeks ago I wanted to price carpet for my family room. I went and talked to Ken and he pointed me exactly to the carpet in my price range that I wanted. There is absolutely zero pressure. I asked about delivery and he said it was free (I live within 5 miles). The best part was that he gave me a sample unit and I left with it and although I said I’d be back the next day, I ended up keeping it for a week. I did call the next day and he said, I can tell you’re busy, take your time and return it when you are ready. I ended up going back and told him I decided to reorganize my home and have to get some new furniture, etc. He suggested that I wait until I have the room/​s organized and then come back to talk if I want to. He has been in carpeting for 40 years and he is a true business man. He is old school and while his web site is just a basic site, don’t be afraid to go and talk with him. He thanked me for coming in even though I was not ready to buy. When I am ready, I will buy from Ken — not from a big box store. By the way, I priced carpeting at a couple of big box stores, and while the price point for the same carpeting was a bit cheaper, they would not deliver for free, the time to delivery would be twice what it would take Ken, and I think in the end, you get service and quality over big box rhetoric when you deal locally with a small business owner. More personal all the way around.

I walked in here somewhat by chance and am so glad that I did. I had a great experience and would recommend Carpets of Elmhurst to anyone looking for carpet. Ken is knowledgeable and helpful, but not pushy.

Ken is so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. His prices are very competitive and he provides a high level of service. He strikes me as someone that is honest and of great integrity that knows what he is talking about. He has a great sense of knowing what works too as I brought in my paint color and he helped me match it to a carpet color. I’m surprised that I am the first to review this place too. Awesome place, highly recommend it.
