Felton Training Group

Great course. Good price and great instruction. Jim answered all questions (i had a lot) and did a great job on teach firearms laws. Would deffinitly recommend!

Took a conceal carry course through Felton Training Group in Milwaukee. Jim was a great, informative instructor and the class made me feel confident in my decision to carry. The course went about 5 hours (slightly longer than listed on the website).
The course covered the dynamics and mechanics behind firearms and ammunition as well as the legalities associated with the conceal carry laws.

This is a scam. Basically, it’s credit card fraud via the internet. I paid for a training class. I drove over an hour to get there and once I arrived, I was told by a receptionist that the class was cancelled. I was not contacted by anyone from Felton Training Group to let me know it had been cancelled. At least 5 others had showed up for the class as well. After speaking with the conference center manager where the classes were held, she told me that all future classes were also cancelled. I tried contacting Felton Training Group, but no one answered the phone. I finally tracked down James Watts, the instructor (and the only person associated with the Illinois branch of Felton Training Group). I left a couple messages for him and after threatening to call the police, he finally returned my call. He refused to give me a refund stating that he had medical issues to deal with and wasn’t in a financial position to give me a refund. He didn’t say he couldn’t… He said he wouldn’t. He then went on to tell me that the person in charge of credit card payments is on a vacation in Thailand for «a couple months» where he might be stuck for longer because Thailand is now under Marshal Law. The excuses were plenty and the excuses were outrageous. So, this is basically a scam. I immediately went to the police… The website is still available, it is still allowing people to register for classes, and it is still accepting payments. If you paid for the class already, dispute it on your credit card immediately, and as I have done, I would highly recommend contacting the Illinois State Police to file a police report against James Watts and the Felton Training Group. Please don’t just stop with a credit card dispute. Contact the Illinois State Police. We need to make sure that Watts and the Felton Training Group are shut down and that their website is turned off so this doesn’t happen to any other unsuspecting people.
