Meet the Business Owner
David H.
Business Owner
I have a 30 year background as a small business owner. Like so many people my age, I have reached the point in life where my blood pressure is rising and my arches are falling — wrinkled and maybe a little wiser. I have always tried to balance faith, family, fitness and work. Not an easy task.
In that balancing act, home is at the core. It may not be the place where you live right now, but it is the place where your heart longs to be.
The full meaning of home became more apparent to me a few years ago when my wife and I were visiting my mother in law. After many years of slow decline she has been in a nursing home setting now for many years. As we got up to leave she asked, «Can I go home now?» We didn’t know if she meant her tiny home in rural Cuba, or the home in Chicago in which she raised her three girls. What could we say?
Being very entrepreneurial, it was at that point that I decided to launch into a business to help folks stay healthy and in their home as long as possible.
