History

Established in 1946.

My Mom and Dad, Hayward and Ellen Reece started growing apples in 1946 with a small traditional apple orchard. After college we came back to the farm and partnered with my parents for many years. When they had to retire due to health and age, we took over the business. After my first husband passed away in 1991 I started the agritourism side of the orchard. I started really small with a petting farm and school tours. Each year I’ve added new activities for our visitors to enjoy. In 1999 I remarried and he and I work more than full time at the farm growing apples and activities for the families who flock to the orchard each fall harvest season. We host a very unique on the farm u-pic apple festival for 8 weekends in a row in Sept. and Oct. We invite schools out on field trips on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. And the market is open 7 days a week from Sept. through Nov. We live on the farm that my parents started and we love sharing the farm life with our visitors in the fall.
