Established in 1967.

Kurt and Diane Kjellberg started Kjellberg Carpet and Interiors in 1967 in a small rented space in downtown Buffalo, MN. Buffalo was a small town and Kurt and Diane helped their friends and neighbors with there flooring needs with small town service. Today the business has moved to a larger recently remodeled location in Buffalo and opened a second store in Elk River Minnesota. In 1992 the Kjellbergs joined a CO-​OP named Carpet One. Carpet One is now America’s largest flooring store. Kjellberg Carpet One is now run by the founders son Bret, daughter Kara, and son in law Michael. The same friendly home town service is still found at both Kjellberg locations.
