Sparkling Cleaning Service

The worst company I have dealt with in years. I paid for window cleaning, cleaning of the window tracks & screens and to repair the back slider screen. They moved from window to window pretending to clean, but were eager to move on to their next appointment. 6 windows tracks were not even touched!
Also, they did a horrible job replacing the screen. I pointed out the mess he made of my door and Fernando agreed to fix it right. He said, they had to take the door with them and return it in 2 days, because they were late to their next appointment. After 20 days of repeated phone calls and empty promises to clean my tracks and return my door. One evening after dark my screen door appears in my drive way, with one of the track wheels broken, my tracks were never cleaned, and there’s not been another word from anyone in the company. You have been warned, I wouldn’t spend a dime on this company!

Where’s the 0 star rating? Like everyone else here who got a Groupon recently, they are impossible to reach to make an appointment. Tried calling over many days, left messages, nobody returns any calls. Waste of time and money, stay away from them.
Update: they finally called back. They are booked until well into December (today is Sept 3^rd, so more than 3 months out for the 1^st appointment). They should not be offering Groupons if they can’t keep up with the demand.
For those interested, the Groupon covers glass cleaning only, no screens, no sills, no tracks, those are extra charges which I’m sure will be high.
If you have a Groupon, contact them and ask for a refund. If many users do so they will stop dealing with this business.
Why bother with this business? There are plenty of 5-​star rated window cleaning services here with lots of happy customers.

This business is SCAM… Please read reviews before you decide to do anything with this «Sparkling Cleaning service». I paid $ 150, I got nothing.
Had appointment, waiting for hours, than try to contact office, left message… Nothing happened.
I called owner Miss Sandra Sanchez, talked to her «Daughter”(if she has any). She was telling me» mom is not available”, so evidently hiding from people… I was told I am rude because I ask for mom and I don’t want to talk to daughter about situation… she hang up on me.
She is running this company just get money from people !

They were amazing. I’ve had my windows cleaned by four different companies. Sparkling was head and shoulders above the rest. Professional, thorough, helpful. Whatever product they use works better than anything I’ve ever seen and smells great. These guys were just great. Highly recommend.

I love this business owner! Fernando just left our home leaving all our windows, tracks and screens clean, clean and more clean! He is extremely professional, works fast, organized, shows up on time and is a really nice person too! We found him with a groupon last February. He did an excellent job then (by himself) and did an excellent job this time too (brought a helper). So this is an update «review» letting you all know he still provides top notch service. He had his challenges with some of the help he used in the past (whom he trusted to do a good job) and has received bad Unilocal reviews because of them. But he learned from this and only brings the best people with him now. He is such a hard worker and nice, polite young man. We would like to see him succeed in his business endeavors so if you want a job well done at a competitive price do not hesitate to call him. We are having him back in six months to do the windows, gutters and house power washing.

Purchase what I thought was a deal thru Groupon — the first one was for gutter cleaning; the other for window cleaning. Both sub-​par quality. Had our windows cleaned 2 days ago. We had used another company in the East Bay (whose name I unfortunately cannot recall). When Sparkling Clean says they will clean your windows, they literally mean JUST THE WINDOWS: the service does not include the screens, the tracks or the sills. WOW! REALLY!!! I had to clean the screens myself as well all the tracks. Lesson learned. Never will be using these folks again.

I was also a Groupon user, and two young men came out Tuesday to clean my windows… what a great job! Windows sparkle, screens cleaned (extra, but well worth it!!), sills and tracks cleaned… I will definitely use them again in the future, and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Disclaimer #1: I bought a Groupon to use this service and never did. So, this review is not a reflection on their cleaning abilities (although, from other reviews — seems like that’s not so hot)
Disclaimer #2: My Groupon legitimately expired. 110% my fault. We had 2 children in past 1.5 years — so scheduling this became a 2^nd thought.
That both being said… I’m onto this company’s modus operandi. Let me explain it:
1. Operate purely as an entity which advertises on offer sites like Groupon. Why are they not a real company? They link to a domain which is available for purchase.
2. Offer a «deal» by charging $ 89 for cleaning windows and claim the «regular price» is something absurd, like, $ 400+.
3. Make it difficult to schedule. (This did not impact me — note disclaimer #2 — but it certainly impacted others) So difficult, in fact, that the offer expires.
4. When fielding inquiries on what to do with an expired Groupon, essentially, tell the customer to pound sand. Go away.
In order to salvage my credit, they wanted to charge me MORE than competitors wanted for the FULL JOB. I asked «why would I do that?» Reply was: «well, if you go through a competitor, you’ll lose the $ 89 already paid.» I do either way. It’s about out-​of-​pocket cash moving forward. I explained that — to no avail. I offered to pay an incremental $ 60, in fact, or $ 150 total. Owner said — no way.
5. Re-​post offer on offer sites like Groupon, rinse & repeat.
Such bad press would normally inspire real companies to cut a deal with customers — even one’s like me who let their deal expire. It’s a way to acquire new customers. BUT, when you don’t rely on reviews (Groupon, conveniently, does not post such reviews) — who cares? Why try to please me? Take my $ 89 and run — and that’s what they did. So, we each move on… I’m $ 89 lighter — but wiser for it.

Folks, just wanted to share my experience with you on their Gutter cleaning service that they offered via GroupOn. I purchased that Groupon and promptly called them to schedule an appointment. It was no easy task but after I was able to get a live person on the other side, we discussed the appts. They told me they are overbooked and that they can only do it two months later, which was Dec7th, 2014. First week of Dec.2014, we called them again to confirm the appt and the time. That was confirmed and they told us they will be there Thursday. On Thursday, we receive a call to tell us that they can’t make it and the next appointment is Feb2015 which is really close to when the GroupOn expires. Also, I bought this to take care of rainy season and avoid puddling in my front and backyards. I am trying to call them to see why they missed their appt and why I have to wait 2 more months to take care of this and try to chase them. Very unprofessional conduct and appalling scheduling.

We got a coupon for Sparkling Cleaning Service via Groupon for window cleaning. We have a large, tri-​level home with lots and lots of windows both up and down. We did have to make an appointment that was a couple of months out, but considering the price and the amount of work involved we didn’t consider it to be a big deal. The gentleman doing the cleaning was so very nice and he did a WONDERFUL job! I needed to ask him if he would clean a large mirror behind my fireplace that goes clear up to the top of the vaulted ceiling. Without hesitation he said ‘yes’ and now it’s sparkling clean. When he was done, he gave me a coupon for another window washing at the same price that’s good for a year! I will absolutely call them back next year and every year thereafter for as long as we live in this home.

Sure wish I had read the ALL the other dissatisfied reviews here on Unilocal before I purchased a Groupon with Sparkling Cleaning Service and had the service come to provide the window cleaning to my home!
This company and their service absolutely stinks! I have a long list of complaints.
1. I had to pay extra for some of the interior /​exterior window cleaning (such as cleaning the tracks and screens) which every other window cleaning service I have utilized in the past has included in the price.
2. The Groupon stated that it covered cleaning of interior /​exterior windows for a single story home up to 2,500 square feet, yet they charged extra for a number of the windows on our single story home which is UNDER 2,500 square feet. So this company falsely advertised their service.
3. It took months to even get an appointment on the calendar. When the guy arrived, while he was at our home, he mentioned that they only have 3 employees so they are very busy. That explains why it takes so long to get an appointment I guess. They certainly are not busy because they are good.
4. When the person came out to clean, although he was scheduled to arrive sometime between 9 to 11 am, he arrived at almost noon without so much as a call to indicate he was running late. He was not pleasant, he did not smile, he did not provide a good feeling to us as he entered our home.
5. Upon arrival, and starting the job, he moved a piece of furniture that was very delicate that I specifically told him could NOT be moved. It caused damage that my husband and I needed 45 minutes to rectify.
6. He started cleaning a window by splattering dirty soapy water all over the marble floors, and walls. Very sloppy work. In other words, this service does NOT put down towels to protect your home interior, nor do they work carefully to make sure they do not make a big mess. He was not only NOT conscientious but caused me quite a bit of work to clean up after the job was done. I did tell him that we had just had our home cleaned and specifically asked him to be careful in certain areas, but my requests were ignored. No matter what I said, he just ignored me.
7. He repeatedly placed his dirty hands all over the draperies… even though we took pains to remove many of them to make his job easier, and held the fabric back to keep it out of his way. When he sloppily got dirty soapy water all over the wood blinds, duettes and silohettes, we did not wipe them unless we specifically pointed it out to him afterward that he left a dirty mess.
8. He wore blue plastic booties which had holes all over the bottom of them from walking outside on the concrete hundreds of times it seemed, therefore not protecting my carpeting in the least.
9. When cleaning some windows, he stepped all over the drapery fabric to my shock… I feel like sending them a cleaning bill.
10. He left a soapy dirty mess on the tracks and on the windowsills that I had to go around the entire house to clean… and yet they charged extra for this service.
11. I had to go around the house placing large towels on the floors under the windows to try to protect our floors and carpets because he did not come equipped to do so even when he said he would put towels down when I showed him the mess he was making.
12. When cleaning the windows in the toilet room, he stepped on top of the toilet with his shoes… with no regard for our home.
13. When cleaning the windows by the large soaking tub, instead of placing his feet on the large beach towel laid down for him, he stepped on the granite unnecessarily and also placed his feet on the pillow inside the tub area… and he broke a flower arrangement that I had carefully placed far enough away that I thought it was safe.
14. After he left, we noticed that he completely ignored one of the large windows on the slider in our master bedroom and also did not clean the screen on that window and my husband had to take care of that after he left.
15. There was also a lot of touch up where streaks and smudges were left all over the windows throughout our home that we had to clean ourselves afterwards.
All in all, our windows are cleaner than they were before his arrival, but this company leaves a LOT to be desired in terms of pleasant customer service, conscientiousness, and paying attention to the customer and their needs and requests.
I purchased this Groupon in the hope of finding a window cleaning service that we could try out and then could be used several times per year if we were happy with them, but I would never use this company again and would never recommend them to anyone.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They should not even be in business.

I wish I’d read the Unilocal reviews before buying the Groupon for this business. I’ve purchased Groupons for other window washing services without any problems. Not so this time. They took two months to book my appointment (purchased in June, booked in August). The crew did a decent job of actually washing the windows and screens. However, I realized as I was checking over their work before they left that they had broken three of my screens in the process. Two more months have gone by and those three screens have not yet been repaired. In fact, only one has been picked up. And the woman I’ve been dealing with on the phone is acting as if it was my fault the screens were broken. Yeah, because that’s what I do in my spare time: break my window screens for fun. Color me dissatisfied.

I bought the $ 149 groupon for 3500 sq. ft. for 2 story home. I feel worry after see the reviews. It need to wait around 2 months to schedule appointment. However, this is still a very good deal to clean over 30 windows for inside and outside for only $ 149. They work fast. They take only one and half hours clean up all my windows. And the result is ok, can fit what I need. Thanks them!!!

Had my windows cleaned in July. It was a groupon deal. The quality did not measure up to my standards. The two guys that cleaned my windows lacked attention to detail. Most of the windows had squeegee marks at the corners. I asked them to redo half the windows. They were not spotless on the second attempt except for one. I was told that the stubborn spots that were difficult to remove were hard water stains would cost extra. Not sure if I trust that. Dissatisfied customer.

We purchased a Groupon for $ 79.00 for window cleaning. Our home is about 33% larger than the Groupon would cover so they needed to charge us an additional fee. That is reasonable. What is not reasonable is they wanted increase the amount by 200%. We went from $ 79.00 to $ 240.00. There are many window cleaners to choose from and we will be selecting someone else.

I bought the groupon for window washing and used them back in February. I thought they did a pretty good job though there are definitely spots and issues with many windows, I decided to tip them both very well. Then I noticed that they broke a window while cleaning and did NOT tell me — so unprofessional. I went back and forth providing pictures and measurements only to have them still not replace it 3.5 months later. Unfortunately, they also took a sliding door screen and window screen to repair and reorder a few more for windows that were missing them and still have the screens without replacing or returning them!!! I have wasted hours of time emaling/​calling only to have them putting me off and not resolving the issue. I would definitely not recommend using them even with a groupon. NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!

I just had my windows done… they did a great job. they’re flexible, courteous, and careful. They are careful if you have cracks, and were clean with paper shoe covers… I’m thrilled. Most co’s are way more expensive. I think when it comes to cleaning windows, they know what they’re doing…10 yrs. experience. Showed up on time… all that good stuff… it’s spring, get your windows done!

1. My windows are not clean. I pointed out a few areas but realized this was not going to improve.
2. Three magnets on my screens that work with my alarm system came off and one was lost completely. Now I have to repair my alarm system.
3. They had to put my screens on multiple times to get them on in the right direction. Then I had to lower them because they left gaps at the bottom or tops.
4. My window sills are filthy.
5. Water left on my hardwood floors.
6. Didn’t even close the windows before leaving.
7. Had the audacity to then ask me to pay the up charge for cleaning the screens. I suggested we call it even. The alarm company labor fee will be more than the groupon.
8. Left my gate open and I have a puppy.
They had good intentions but they are not good at this job.

Oh how I wish I had checked Unilocal before trying to work with this company. I will summarize a VERY frustrating situation by stating this company is an unorganized as they come. They lost our payment and then hassled us for weeks about it… in spite of the fact that I printed a copy of the endorsed and deposited check for them, gave them the check number and deposit date, etc, etc, etc. DO NOT USE THEM!!!
