I provide bookkeeping services for small businesses. Whether you need to pay bills, process payroll, balance your bank account, or deliver an income statement to your bank that accurately reflects your business, I can take care of that for you. Services can be provided as a one time shot, or monthly, or quarterly, or you can give that box of stuff, to me, at the end of the year. Basically, I can help you with any phase of bookkeeping that you need.

History

Established in 2014.

Yelp wants me to talk about the history of my business and how it got started. Well, I’ve only been in business for about a year now; so there’s not much history to talk about.

I started my own business for a multitude of personal reasons, of which I won’t bore you with.

There are a couple of things that I do want to make you aware of.

My business is home based. That address at the top of this page is just a mailing address. Yes, you can map directions to it, but you will just end up at a MyUPS Store. The people there are very nice, though, and provide great service.

I also don’t list hours of operation because I am a one man show. If you are interested in my services, give me a call. If I am not around to answer the phone, just leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

I mention all of this because some people might not be comfortable with a home based bookkeeping service for their business. I’m just letting you know up front, is all.

I’ve been a bookkeeper since graduating from college in 1981, so that’s 30 plus years. Seems like a lifetime already. The nice thing about bookkeeping is that the basics don’t change. When I started, everything was hand written. Now, everything has been computerized. A hobby that has occupied much of my free time over the last 17 years is computers. Thus, my choice of pictures at the top of this page.

Other basic information about myself that you might want to know before you contact me… I am not a CPA; I am not an income tax preparer; I am not licensed by any government agency for the accounting profession. I am a bookkeeper. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelors degree in Theoretical Mathematics. I needed a job and bookkeeping came easy to me, and that’s what I’ve been doing all these years. So if I don’t know something, I like to think that I can figure it out. Thanks for reading!
