We always try to shop locally and have been shopping at All Clear for quite a while. The person working in the store in Galt seems to be in way over his head and struggles in dealing with as many as 2 customers. I just called the store with a very quick question «do you have any soft brushes» and he went into a tizzy, telling me that he had a long line of customers and wanted me to leave my name and number. My question took less time that leaving my name & number. We’ve always appreciated the people working there before, the girls were amazing! Now it’s almost easier to drive to Leslies in Elk Grove than to deal with this guy.

So I bought a new house with a pool that was by their store. The pool needed a new system. Great contact when you BUYING. When they were done installing, I needed WIFI at the house to finish a few things. They told me to call after I had internet and they would come back out. After the new system started working, I noticed the pool/​spa heater now had a small leak. They said I needed a new manifold with the new system. They installed, I immediately noticed the next day the pool was lower by 1″. The next day same thing… another 1″. This is when I apparently didn’t exist anymore. Called the store to explain my story and left a message. No call back. Went into the store and left message with one of the employees to have «Linda» (the scheduling/​service associate) call me. No call back. No exaggeration, left no less than 10 – 15 msgs with 3 employees to have Linda call me… No call back… for a month! So I called the main store again and left ANOTHER message for Linda «This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced, please call me back and explain why you haven’t called me back in over a month». So she finally calls me back w/​no apology. Her response was «What do you want?». I explained the situation and her response was «The leak is a coincidence». I asked how she knew that as she hasn’t even looked at it. She tells me that she will send someone out, but it will do no good as it wasn’t their fault. Again I asked her why she would say that without inspection. I also told her they still needed 2 show me how to use the system. She said she would call me in the next 2 weeks when she can get someone out there. We are now working on 4 weeks and no phone call. I have had the hose in the pool on very low for the past 2 months now 24⁄7 to keep the pool level and am still amazed at what a terrible business I choose to work with. Purchased the manifold on 4/8/16…still waiting…

Service was decent, but we have to cancel after a few weeks. Our puppies have grown up to be protective of the yard and won’t let them in. Now I’ll have to clean it myself. Grrr.

Another thing I learned after posting my original review: owner Deon will charge your credit card for shoddy service when you tell him he needs to fix the problem or you’ll write a negative Unilocal review. He then waits for the negative review, says «you’re e-​mail somehow went to the junk mail folder» when I requested a resolution a second time, and offers to refund the charge if you’ll take the review down. My $ 65 is held hostage so that pool owners in Elk Grove will not be aware of the poor service, disorganized records management and weak communication that All Clear practices. So, pool owners, you may very well have to choose between getting your money back or warning others about unsatisfactory service. The choice is yours… learn from my experience and save your money!

We have been very pleased with All Clear Pool and Spa weekly pool service, and wanted to show this Business our appreciation. Kudos to management on how well they train their technicians who come out and service our pool as our tech Brandon has done a wonder job from the moment he walked through our gate to a disaster and green pool to the next day (which we were shocked at how fast it happened) to an almost completely cleared up pool. Brandon was very through and informed us throughout the process with what was going on and our plan of attack on how to get it all cleaned up. We also had the pleasure of speaking with the service manager Jeff in the store who assured us that we were in good hands and boy was he right. Thank you for the time you put forth in reassuring your customers that our pools are in good hands when it comes to having our service with your company. Great job!!!

I have been a customer since I moved to Elk Grove 15 years ago, This business is a great example of businesses reinventing themselves and always striving to be better. They had customer service issues some years ago and the owner recognized that. They hired people without experience or training, owner was not always nice to his customers, etc. I changed pool stores for a while even though this one was much closer to my house. I didn’t like them either, so I came back. Several years later and I now think All Clear offers the best costumer service in the area, they’re polite, patient, and helpful with any issues you may have.

Just began renting a house where I negotiated the rent down by agreeing to care for the pool. Ive never really taken care of a pool before so didnt know too much. This store was close by so decided to check it out. When i arrived the store was clean and had a lots of items in stock but I didnt really know what I needed. The guy there Justin talked to me and helped me understand what needs to get done to keep it clean. I explained the supplies the landlord left and he showed me what else I needed and made sure I understood everything. He was a great help and I will definitely be coming back.

I enjoy coming in here. There’s a huge rubber duckie that greets you at the door with stunners on. The staff is super friendly and attends to you right as you enter. The prices at the best in town that I’ve seen and they have the most stock in the business. What I like most is that there isn’t an overwhelming smell of chlorine as you walk in. They also offer email discounts to their customers. It’s quite a treat to have a large inventory of pool toys as well and billards supplies.

All Clear staff is super knowledgeable about pools and spas. We recently bought a house with an existing pool and spa. We never had a pool before and knew absolutely nothing. We considered handling the monthly service ourselves, but didn’t know the first thing about how. When I initially went into the store, there was no question how clueless I was. Not only were they professional, they were VERY patient with me and answered all of my questions without up selling me. Deon (the owner) told us everything we needed to know to manage the service ourselves. We also checked out their prices and they’re very competitive, so we will definitely buy our supplies here. It’s nice to be dealing with a locally owned business with whom we trust.

New pool owners– or about to be in a few weeks.
Stop in the store after our Home & Pool Inspection was done with a sample of the pool water. The gentleman at the counter was very nice and took the time to speak with me about the water condition– which was balanced and clear. Advised as best as he could about the pool pump and systems-​I took pictures, and gave advice about which service he recommends.
Guess what? It wasn’t the most expensive one offered.
They will have a new customer come July when we close.

Excellent in-​store service and advice, something you can’t get off the ‘net.
I purchased a pool sweep hose filter online, and was hoping to find an adapter as it wouldn’t fit any of my hoses.
The folks at All Clear were busy on the Saturday afternoon that I went in, but the gentlemen at the service desk took the time to explain that while the «pool» filter that I had purchased was well-​made, that it would not work with any standard pool sweep because of the non-​standard fittings.
But, instead of leaving me with the problem, he quickly showed me the correct replacement filter and gave me a sizable discount… to help make up for the restocking fee that I was going to get hit with in returning the online product that didn’t work.
Lesson learned: you can get some great deals online, but you can’t get any advice. For stuff like this, I’d rather pay a little bit more, get the advice I need, and support my local businesses.

First impression are everything. I do all service and repair on my pool and pump as being a plumber affords me that option. Living in Natomas, we are all held hostage by Leslie’s unless we do what I did today. I needed an o-​ring for my filter cover. Leslie’s wanted to charge me over $ 60.00 and I’d have to wait more than 4 days! You can’t wait when things need to be fixed now! They didn’t even check other store inventory until the third time I asked them to. You’d think your local vendor would have stock or another location within their net would have it, but no. First place I called was All Clear. Although far, Justin said he had what I need and it would be at the counter for half the cost. They also have filters and other parts I will need in the near future that I was quoted and pleased at the drastic lower pricing for the same Jandy manufacture parts. I will be back in time. Very pleased with the counter help from Justin. I hope those future visits are of the same.

I give All CLear pool and Spa a 0 star rating. Been buying product there for years. But recently had an incident with my pool they just kept suggesting I buy more if this and that not really knowing if it would work or not. Now mind you I already spent up to $ 200 on product and to be told I needed more it might be this or that was just ridiculous to me. They didn’t even offer to have someone come and look at it I thought they would since I followed their instructions and put in the pool what they suggested. Saddens me how as long as u keep buying from them but when I needed them all I was told to buy more stuff that might work! I went back and forth to the store only to be told buy more of this and that. Not good customer service!

Can a business earn its keep at a rate of $ 80 per customer? All Clear Pool & Spa must think it so because it certainly can’t count on repeat business. We paid for a technican to check out our equipment, knowing we needed to replace the pool pump and the charge would be applied to the future purchase. However, after paying the bill, we can’t get a return phone call from the tech, or the Elk Grove service department. In spite of leaving numerous messages, it has been almost a month and we have not received the promised quotation for the pump replacement either.
We are big supporters of small and locally-​owned businesses, but this experience will drive our business straight to Leslie’s. All Clear, you can keep the $ 80 we paid for the service call.
