History
Established in 1984.
Dr. David J. Schumer has been providing dental care to families in Elk Grove Village and the surrounding communities since 1984. His friendly general dental office has been treating many families in the area for well over forty years. The practice was opened in Elk Grove Village in 1959 by Dr. David Schumer’s father, who retired in 1993. Dr. Schumer now treats many of the grandchildren, and soon some of the great-grandchildren, of the people who started going to his father in the early 1960’s.

Dr. Schumer graduated with high distinction from the University of Michigan, and then he attended the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors in 1984. While in dental school, Dr. Schumer was awarded the Best Clinician by Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, and he was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, an honorary dental society.
He has completed advanced continuing education training in all phases of dentistry including implant restoration, Invisalign invisible braces, Lumineer porcelain veneers, dentures, and cosmetic treatments. Dr. Schumer is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois Stated Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society.
He is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art, comfortable dental care in a friendly office. Each patient is given individual attention and the time to voice their dental concerns. Dr. Schumer will also take the time to explain your various treatment options.
