Hackman SmartRoof

I don’t do many reviews, but this company deserves some notice! I needed a minor roof repair for a leak/​plywood repair in the garage and wanted to replace all my ridge venting. I called four roofers after examining websites and trying to find references. Hackman got back to me quickly, and their receptionist/​scheduler was on her game with answers and prompt call backs, and she kept me informed during estimating and during execution. Someone has trained her well. This seems simple but if you think it’s routine you haven’t called too many places for service.
The estimator was knowledgeable, personable, climbed on the roof to investigate, and answered all my questions clearly. He also priced my job off a laminated ‘price list’ which made me feel like I got the same price as others did and no one was taking advantage of my situation. That’s got to be unique.
(PS: I got a call back from two of the four roofers after Hackman had started the actual job, 3 weeks (or more) after the request for quote. How responsive would those places be if you had a warranty problem? Will they be in business to service the warranty?)
The installation crew was timely, efficient, and cleaned up well after the work was completed. They also answered my questions and knew their business. Subsequent to the job I got a survey form looking for feedback and recommendations. Nice! People will often tell you more in writing afterward than to your face during the job so I like this approach too.
I’ve heard roofer horror stories, people taking deposits and not calling back, poor workmanship, ancillary damage to gutters while repairing the roof, etc. It is my pleasure to write this review and I actually inquired how I might spread the word.
As the former head of multi-​million dollar company, I’ve been known to be demanding; but also offered praise for exceptional performance. Include Hackman SmartRoof in your quoting!
