Advantage Plumbing, Heating & A/C

I don’t have word what to say. Just one word «AWESOME» service. Trust me, I have called 20 plumbers company to detect gas leak in my house. But none of theses technicians having diagnosis skill. Jay, who came to my house and diagnose and repair the issue. He is extremely talented and knows where is the issue is and where to cut drywall. He fixed the issue within an hour. I would highly recommend Jay and Advantage Plumbing for any plumbing and Heating Service.

We had an emergency with water overflowing our kitchen sink and needed a plumber asap. Found Advantage and saw the good reviews, so gave them a call, crossing my fingers they would have an opening ASAP. They got me in between 10:00 — 12:00, so I immediately took it. Got a call back shortly after that Scott could be at our house at 9:15. Scott was awesome — took care of the blockage, looked at another issue in our house that we are hoping to have fixed in the near future and gave us some advice on that, and gave us a cleaner to help keep the blockage from happening again soon. After Scott finished and left our house, we turned on the water in the kitchen sink and it started leaking again. We called him right away and he turned around and came and replaced part of the pipe under the sink for us. I highly recommend Advantage — they were fast, professional and thorough!

Jay is wonderful. He is good at what he does, he is respectful, quick, efficient and personable to have in your home. He has now done two projects for me. I will request him and hope that he stays in the business…
Next time we will have to post pictures of you getting the job done well…

Our HVAC has not been blowing cold air. It was too hot over the weekend and we tried to look for someone who can fix it right away. Through Unilocal,I found Advantage Plumbing… I spoke with Jennifer yesterday afternoon and I was delighted that they can come over to our home the following day in the morning. I also mentioned to her that I have a coupon which printing out as 2013 on top of the 2016 date. She gladly said that she will take a note on the discount and will automatically deduct it on the service the following day.
Jay was very pleasant especially to my puppy. I left the house for work and explained to my husband that there should be a discounted price. Jay did a good job on refilling the Freon but uncertain if there is a leak somewhere. We were charged in full and I learned about it after I was charged. I asked my husband why and how and told me that he thought that it was already the discounted price. He called the office and was told that they were not aware that we had the coupon and we should’ve presented the coupon.
I was just disappointed with the fact that after talking to Jennifer yesterday, she still did not grant us with the discount. If they will look for the copy of the coupon, I would happily present it to her.
Jay did a good job but both he and Jennifer represents the same company. I could have given a 5 star for Jay. I felt like I was presented a false advertisement.
In spite of this, I would still recommend Advantage’s Jay. =)

Brian and Bill came out to replace the main shutoff valve for our water. The work was done neatly, on time and on budget. No surprises. They were great to work with and I would recommended them again! Thanks guys! No more leaking! Thanks Jennifer at dispatch for helping us schedule the final service call, getting them on site earlier than promised! Could not have asked for better teamwork!

Our water heater stopped working this week and Advantage quickly replaced it for us. Our tech, Harry, was a gem and did a wonderful job. They were fast and left their work area very clean. We couldn’t have asked for better service– highly recommend.

My furnace stopped pushing out hot air. blower was obviously working, but no heat.
Called Advantage at 2:52pm and by 3:52pm tech had already got us back and running and left. So under an hour from call to resolve.
Tech was friendly and knowledgable. Used booties to keep floor clean, etc.

Update: My Air Conditioning just crapped out and Jay (same tech) came back out and got it up and running. Was less expensive than expected. If I kept vendor magnets on the fridge, Advantage would be one of them.

Called Advantage on the morning of New Year’s Eve due to a troublesome furnace. Tech was at my house in about an hour and got right to work.
Issue diagnosed, blower motor replaced (which he had to go get from distributor), shotty wiring job by previous place fixed, humidifier integrated in to my Nest thermostat, all completed inside of 4 hours.
Tech was friendly, knowledgeable, clean, and up front about everything he was doing and what it would cost.
Not a single complaint.

Had service done from 2 great technicians. Josh & Brian. They were very knowledgeable and professional. Not to mention kind and worked very cleanly. They also arrived within the hour of our emergency call and resolved the issue in a timely manner.
Will definitely be calling them again if the need ever arises. Highly recommend these professionals. Will not be disappointed.

I was very impressed with Josh and Advantage Plumbing. They have been quick to respond, explain everything well and our extremely courteous. For any plumbing issues I will be using advance plumbing!

They weren’t cheap, but I believe they are worth it.
I called them Saturday morning and scheduled me for the afternoon. They called me and told me they were running late and gave me an updated time. I called back to see what was happening and they told me they guy was on the way. 5 minutes later a very professional plumber arrived,
He took a look at the problem and gave me the «Best Solution» and a «less expensive» solution. I chose the best and he finished up in about 1 ½ hours.
I love the fact they wear the little booties to keep your floor clean. He gave me some advice about some other items will eventually need attention and told me how to get the city to address some of them.
Overall, I’d highly recommend them. I wish they were a bit less expensive, but I consider it good value for money. I’d give them five stars otherwise.

I got a very prompt response on a weekday morning for an emergency when I really needed help, water backing up all over my floor. The plumber who came out was polite, very competent, and very careful to communicate to me every step of the process of diagnosing the problem and what the likely cost was shaping up to be. I was very pleased with this experience.

Had these guys come in and install new A/​C unit. Work was flawless and price was reasonable. Highly recommend!!!

I had a gas leak so I called these guys since they got pretty good reviews. Came out right away, very professional and knowledgable. At first, gave me an estimate for $ 450 since he would have to open walls to find the problem but when he was done, he only asked for $ 300 since he did not take too long to find the leak. Great service!!!

A wet carpet is not good. Even worse is not knowing what is causing it. That’s where Advantage comes in. Brian showed up within 2 hours of my initial duress call (that’s fast!), and he was one of the most professional and knowledgeable service technicians I’ve ever worked with. He was careful and smart about diagnosing the root cause of the leak, and his instincts were right… it was a failed seal cock that ruptured during the ice age of 2015. Advantage, and Brian, will remain on my short list of trusted service technicians from now on.

I had a minor leak on my main shutoff valve. Came and gave me a straight forward quote. Fixed the leak quickly and re-​supported the plumbing by it as it wasn’t braced properly. Overall great straight forward professional service and I won’t hesitate to contact them again when I need plumbing work done.

Sunday night our water heater decided to stop working, on our house that is only 3 years old (including new utilities). Being out of builder warranty, we had to call someone to come out and check it out.
We called Advantage in the morning, lady on the phone was very friendly and helpful. They were able to get someone in the morning, despite an initial ETA of 2PM-​4PM.
Jay their tech was great, answered any questions, with a friendly attitude. Jay even went and checked if the water heater was still under warranty, which it was. They went and picked up the part in Elgin (about 30−60min away, depending on traffic). Got charged the initial quote Jay gave me, before confirming to proceed with the repair, once the defective part was determined.
I wouldn’t hesitate using Advantage again for future AC/​Heating/​Plumbing needs.

We found damage on our car 2 days after replacing water heater, their van was backed up to our car that was in the garage when they did the work. We even wanted to move it but they said it was unnecessary, they will not admit to it. We know 100% the damage was not their prior. Other than that we figure you get what you pay for and went with the highest estimate to be disappointed. Good luck! «Do not recommend»…

We have used them twice for major bathroom remodels. They have provided perfect service at a reasonable cost in both occasions. They showed up on time and presented themselves in a friendly and professional manner.

I could not have asked for a better experience than today’s experience with Brett and Advantage Plumbing. Brett was very helpful, knowledgeable, and truly caring about my needs. I had a hot water heater replaced and the hardware in a shower fixed/​replaced. After Brett finished installing the new hot water heater, he took the time to teach both my wife and me on how to operate the new hot water heater. I had high expectations for the company because of the great reviews that have been left here on Unilocal.Fortunately, Brett was able to exceed my expectations.
