I must concur with all the horrible reviews (be sure to sort by date). These people took my money and never showed up– it’s been 7 months. I bought a house in October 2015 and I had 3 months to replace my lateral, per city regulations. SC gave me a bid. They said they could not do it until January, but told me that if they filed the permit immediately, the city wouldn’t mind– that they do this all the time. I touched base in Jan when I didn’t hear from them, and they had completely forgotten about me– couldn’t remember the rate they bid, never filed the permit, etc. Said this was because I didn’t pay a deposit– yet they never asked for one. I cut them a check that very day, and they said they would have to wait until mid-​March now. They swore they would file the permit immediately and that the city wouldn’t penalize me if they did so. Since I paid them, I have put in no fewer than 25 calls & emails, and they respond to almost none. Once I had a date scheduled and they didn’t show up. We are now headed into June 2016, and they STILL haven’t replaced my line NOR filed the permit! Please see the deposit check I have uploaded to Unilocal,dated Jan 28, that clearly states «permit now, mid-​March fix». They had no problem depositing it the very week I gave it to them– but still haven’t done the 2 items the check referenced. Diana and Dean have turned out to be a nightmare to work with. I still don’t have a lateral 7 months later, and they still haven’t filed the permit. I’m now risking city fines & I may not get the 2k sewer grant I already qualified for, due to being way behind on the time allowed. (I also applied for a 150k FEMA grant which I may not get if I am not in good standing). SC will be sued if I do not receive these grants due to their gross negligence. I have uploaded images of my check & the few email responses I’ve gotten. STAY AWAY. SEWER CONNECTION IS A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE. THEY TOOK MY MONEY & BLEW ME OFF. There is no 2^nd side to this story, as you will see from their emails, attached. When reading their Unilocal,I suggest you sort them by date– many people posting the same scenario as mine in past 6 months.
UPDATE: right after posting this Unilocal,calling 7 On Your Side, and having my real estate agent call his wife, Dean called me today. He wanted me to take the Unilocal down and said he wouldn’t do the job if I didn’t. I refused. He now says the job will be done in 2 weeks. If it gets done, I will update this Unilocal.Sadly he seemed more interested in not having a bad Unilocal,then taking care of his customer. I have no interest in hurting anyone’s livelihood — but the public deserves an honest review, so the review will stick. If things change, the review will be updated.

While the receptionist was very nice my experience with this company was awful and now we have wasted weeks with them and still havent had our sewer lateral inspected. We are going with another company now.
I made an appointment with them to go do a full inspection and they said that we didnt have to be home that was totally fine. The day of the appointment I got a call about how he had double booked himself or something and would come later. Then we had another phone call where I explained to him everything and said that we DO NOT have a clean out and it would have to be done another way. He said fine and that he would get it done.
2 weeks later! I realize that I havent received a call, email, report, bill, or anything. So I call and leave him a message and the company and no one calls back.
Finally the next day I get a hold of the receptionist and she says sorry she will figure it out that same day… no call back.
The next day I call and she tells me to call his cell. No answer. I leave a voicemail and call again and finally he answers. Then he cant remember if he did it or not so he has to check and call me later.
He calls me much later and says that he had called me and left a message that he needed to get into the house… I never received a call or a message although we had been communicating fine all day.
End of this long story is he gave me the run around about not doing it and then didnt even have the courtesy to follow up with me later and let me know until 2 weeks after all of this. Dont waste your time $ 175 vs $ 250 for other guys is not worth the hassle to deal with them.

WORTH THE WAIT! I had a great experience working with Sewer Connection and I would highly recommend them. The staff was very nice and professional. I had to have a sewer lateral replacement and called several other companies I got a great price from Sewer Connection. They are a very in demand company so my appointment was booked several weeks out, but they were definitely worth the wait. During the waiting process I had an issue and they sent someone out at no cost to me to resolve the issue. My job happened to be very complicated 13 feet deep, a very old house that I just purchased, and there were many PG&E connections so it required a very knowledgable skilled team. I was surprised that they were able to get the job done so quickly. When they left you would never have known they had been here. I would definitely call them again.
It’s now May 30^th and I wanted to add an update since I have had other issues with my old house that have not had any updates since 1944. I have had some other issues completely unrelated to the sewer lateral. I called Sewer Connection as they will be my Number #1 Choice for all plumbing needs after my first experience with them. They are very in demand and so well priced that it can be difficult to get an appointment so I called another company and they wanted $ 3500 to re-​plumb underneath the house. I got 2 more bids $ 2800.00 and $ 1850.00 The owner of Sewer Connection came out went underneath the house looked at everything throughly and did something to my toilet that made the water pressure stronger and better and he did it at NO CHARGE! I just couldn’t believe it. I’m so impressed with them and the integrity with which they serve their customers.
You might have to wait longer for Sewer Connection, but they will do the job perfectly and it will be more competitively priced. I would definitely say they are worth the wait, and I have recommended them to everyone I know. This is a 5 star out 5 stars business and I’m a picky and demanding customer. They exceed exceptions and you can’t get a better price for real professional plumbers.

Ok, I am not retracting what I said about this company in the past review, because it was true. However, I am now writing about my experience with their work warranty. We had two incidents where things went wrong, or we thought that things went wrong. We recently noticed a wet spot around the holding tank that appeared to widen everyday. So, we assumed it was a tank leak. They honored their warranty, communicated with us promptly, sent their guys in a timely manner, and did what they are supposed to do. The water spot turned out to be coming from the ground as a result of the heavy rain this year. Their guys were respectful and didn’t appear judgmental about our lack of knowledge. So, I am hereby giving an update to be fair. Thank you Sewer Connections for doing a good job today.

I’m writing to help you NOT to choose them. They did a bid on our house in May and the work was not completed until January. It took upwards of 30 calls to the business including a few discussions with the owner in order for us to have our work done. The lady that answers the phone puts people on hold for upwards for 10 – 15 minutes at times, doesn’t return calls at all, and gives you different information than the contractor. We were on their schedule multiple times months apart and each time they never showed up and we were never notified that they weren’t coming out. Upon calling to find out why they would say, oh we had you on a different day. This happened to us 3 times. Even if they are cheaper it isn’t worth the headache. It wasn’t until I told them I was writing this add and told them we were taking our business elsewhere that they magically had an opening in their schedule. They have also been very prompt in requesting their payment which was over their estimate. I’ve never been so frustrated with a business in my life.

The realtor chose this company to inspect my house’s sewer. They managed to do the inspection in a few days. They recommended some relatively minor work. Now that my house is sold, I am stuck with waiting for them to actually do the repairs. So far I have been waiting almost 8 weeks! It’s beyond ridiculous. I have called multiple times, I’ve been given scheduled dates for the work, but nada. So unprofessional, such poor service, it’s amazing.

Scheduled an inspection through our trusted Realtor. Was not disappointed and totally happy with timing, price and speedy comprehensive results.
Now a home-​owner (Yeah!) and just scheduled a sewer replacement.
I’ll update this posting with results of that work scheduled for early March.

A well respected home inspector recommended Sewer Connection. I was hesitant to call because of the negative reviews on here but had to get a sewer lateral camera inspection quickly and every other company was booked until the next week. Plus, I trusted this home inspector’s opinion.
Company was very responsive the few times I called– picked up the phone every time. The woman I spoke with was very friendly and got me an appointment for two days later.
Inspector showed up on time and was very professional. Got the report as well as the CD which showed the video of the sewer lateral. The sewer line was in need of replacement but he didn’t dramatize. Recommended some repairs/​maintenance to get by until we could find the means.
I highly recommend using them if you are in need of a sewer lateral camera inspection.

Sewer Connection Inc. failed to connect a main line from our house to the new sewer lateral that they installed. 5 weeks later raw sewage emerged onto our front driveway and house entrance. When they returned to fix the job they refused to cart away the contaminated dirt and backfill with clean material.
My guess is that they may work diligently if you have a big contractor type job but send the third team for smaller residential work.

I cannot give this company a good review. They scheduled our lateral at least two month out I followed up they then rescheduled twice and guess what. I’m about to close escrow and they tell our realtor they messed up and we are not scheduled… upset beyond belief. Lucky our realtor knew local company who scheduled us and completed work within five days. This problem could have cost us big. I’m very disappointed with this company

Look elsewhere if you need to have your sewer lateral done. Fernando and the other crew members who did the work were great — helpful, friendly, and I’m assuming they did a good job, since the inspector passed the work. However, dealing with the office personnel was a nightmare. Work was scheduled by Diana, confirmed by Brian, yet no one showed up. Brian, when I called at 10:30 am, said that if workers hadn’t gotten to the property by 8 am they «probably are not coming.» Said he would call Diana and get back to me, which he did not do. After a few more voice messages left by me, the work was rescheduled for the following week. The work was done, and I spoke with Diana to pay with a credit card. Eleven days later, someone from the company called to say that we needed to pay our bill for the work. I explained that we had paid, and read her the credit card statement. Non the less, the company billed us again. After I called again, the mistake was blamed on the «bookkeeper». Two weeks later, Diana called back to say that she had somehow cancelled both payments, so we started over. I’m not sure why this place is so disorganized, but I would suggest going elsewhere unless you like headaches.

NO SHOW! I call made an apt to do sewer lateral work on the home that I’m selling, they scheduled me a week later shoot for 2pm apt. It was 2:15pm on the day of my apt. Have not seen any one show up, i call they said sorry our inspector is running late but he sure will be there, 4pm still no one show up, i call again no answer and no one ever show up, wasted my day, not recommended!

These guys are the very best for lateral sewer line replacement. We did experience a delayed start but that was because the City of Sausalito takes two weeks off at year-​end and they also very slow at issuing permits. Our sewer line replacement hits some snags but the guys on this crew never backed down, they stayed on the job and finished up to everyone’s complete satisfaction. They were the lowest of three bids by a long way and I highly recommend them.

These guys are the ones to call if you need/​want your lateral replaced! They were able to squeeze us in ahead of schedule because we had a ton of trenches all over the place, and I was annoyingly persistent. They brought in a huge crew and finished the job in a day. They did everything, including digging in the street and and patching the asphalt. They even left us a couple of boxes and installed a sewer popper so that we wouldn’t have a valve sticking up in our walk way anymore!
They were much more affordable than any of the 5 other folks I received bids from (for the lateral grant replacement program here in Marin they make you get bids from at least 3 plumbers on their list).

This company is horrible. They have been a no show on two occasions and I have never received any return calls from them.
When I have been able to get through to them, I have spoken with Brian and received excuses such as: «our computers crashed», «we are going on vacation», and my favorite «I am not sure why none showed up on the scheduled date, so let’s reschedule for next week» — no show.
This company is completely unreliable. Don’t waste your time.

I am a Realtor called this company to do an video inspection for your client once. It took them more than 3 weeks to produce the report. The report came in for more than $ 5,000 and we missed the opportunity to re-​negociate with the Seller. My buyer did buy the property but never call this company to repair. I believe as an agent. We really should call an reliable company. Not this. Please Agents, Please do not use this company as I made an mistake. I end up paying almost $ 3,000 to help my client to resolve the issue. Learn form my mistake and never use this company again.

One Word: Awesome. I have delt with the ownder, Fernando, and he and his crews were great. They came, they suggested the best rout to re-​pipe my lateral sewer lines and finally they did a great job. I also love their warranty period — 10 years. You read it correct. If anything happens within that period, they would fix it, no questions asked.
I definitely recommend them — And by the way, while they were installing the new pipe at my house, 3 other neighbors came and asked for their contact information because they heard about them as well.
Both owners — Fernando and Dean are wonderful to deal with, and they are very reasonable in their prices.
A+ rating all the way.

I called these guys, they came out and took a video of our sewer line, then estimated the job would be about 4500 $… I got a real estimate a few days later in the mail of 5100 $… Wow they were off.HMMM. Anyways, I was ready to bend over and have the work, done. So I faxed all my information over to them signing off on the job (I had to go to Kinko’s to do this, blech) and then called to make an appointment…

3. times over a three day period, no one seemed to want to call me back.
In the meantime I have the city of Berkeley breathing down my neck telling me that I will be fined 500 $ a day if I don’t get it done.
Anyhow, this threw up a red flag and I hired someone else.
If they don’t even have enough time to call a customer back to schedule a job, do I get to talk to an answering service and tell them that there is shit all over my floor if something goes wrong with said job? Because I doubt the answering service is going to want to come fix the problem.
