This place is good with reliably tasty meats and soft rolls. Love the round rolls for the small sandwiches. First off, i like parking in the back to enter and see the pile of bacon in the kitchen waiting to be placed on a sandwich that needs to be devoured. Rinaldi’s has so many sandwiches but my usual go to’s are the Charlie Tuna and the Stinky(can you sense a theme? I’m Asian so I like stinky foods ;D) There is nothing really special about this place. I can make a better sammy at hone but when you want variety or you forget to bring lunch to work, this is a great place for a sandwich. The other plus is that their variety of chips is way better than any other sandwich shop. This place has Funjuns and you can’t find Funjuns at any old sandwich joint!

I have eaten at a lot of restaurants in El Segundo. I feel like Rinaldi’s is the most consistent as far as the quality of the food. No matter what you order it will be better than good. I have had the turkey lasagna, veggie sandwich, and the veggie burger(not all in one meal.) Everything I ordered was great. I hate veggie burgers, I don’t even know why I ordered one, but it was pretty good. Rinaldi’s is a really well rounded sandwich place.

Okay, we kept hearing about how we HAVE to try The Hat while we were visiting Cali. We tried The Hat. It was… okay. I honestly am not sure what everyone was hyping up. It wasn’t worth the 30 minute drive in the wrong direction to find a location closest to us. I felt let down and in need of some good pastrami. We were headed towards the airport but wanted to grab a bite to eat. We found ourselves in El Segundo and standing in front of a burger place. Sounded good to me. We walked in and it reeked! Like someone needed to shower mixed with spoiled food. Disgusting! So, we immediately walked out and went into the restaurant right next door. Look! a cute deli! Deal! I started reading some of the reviews and articles that they had on the wall. One stated best pastrami sandwich in LA. OMG! I am in! So I got the Macho Mike. Pastrami with roast beef, mustard, lettuce, pickles, tomato and cheddar! DELICIOUS! This is what I am talking about. For all of you Hat lovers… think again! Go toe The Original Rinaldi’s! So worth it. Fantastic service! Nothing gets better at this place. Totally cute location, giant menu and super friendly smiling employees. I would love one of these in Denver.

I stopped by here because I was in the area and based on the reviews. I got the chris club and although it looks appetizing there was no flavor to the sandwich– it was completely bland. The only highlight was the bread, which was soft and toasted.

Ordered their spaghetti special with beef meatball. It comes with garlic bread and a drink. It wasn’t too saucy, but it needed a bit of salt and pepper. Otherwise, it was damn good. Love this place.

This place hits the spot if you’re craving some delicious specialty sandwiches! I highly recommend the Godfather sandwich, which is pretty much packed with so may proteins! Think salami, pepperoni, roast beef, bacon, with provolone cheese, mayo, lettuce and mayo. It’s served warm, which makes the cheese all melty-gooey-good with the meats! Another good one is the Ed Special, which comes with roasted turkey, lean pastrami, mayo, lettuce and tomato and provolone cheese. I personally prefer the Godfather, but the Ed Special is more of a «healthier» option since it definitely makes you feel lighter after eating it haha. We both ordered the sandwiches small, and dang they were huge! But if you’re craving the same sandwich, then getting a large and splitting it in 2 is a good option as well since it’s only about $ 2 more. Overall, the sandwiches are yummy! I can tell that it’s definitely a local favorite. Credit cards accepted. I think there’s only street parking.

If you’re one of those people who struggle with choosing something from menus, this place isn’t for you… b/c their menu is HUGE — almost too huge. The sandwiches are a little pricier than your other sandwich shops, but they don’t skimp out on the amount of quality Boar’s Head meat here. I tried to be healthy one time and ordered the IRONMAN, which had grilled chicken breast, ground turkey, prosciutto, and cheddar. When it came out, it looked like a heart attack with the melted cheddar on top of an all-meat sandwich! If you’re going for an all-meat sandwich, I would steer you towards The GODFATHER instead. That’s the sandwich that everyone talks about, which has more meat than your heart can handle. If you’re going the cold sandwich route, I personally love the basic prosciutto sandwich, The MAILMAN. And wash it down with one of the specialty sodas(recommend: Bundaberg Ginger Beer). Unless you’re a big eater, I would say that a small size is good enough, unless you want to take some to go. But this is a great local lunch spot with very friendly owners/workers if you work in El Segundo. Parking is street parking and there will likely be a crowd during peak lunch hours, but it’s worth the wait!

Really enjoyed the east coast style sandwiches and the reviews are correct — really study the menu before you arrive there are so many iterations and choices you will not feel prepared when you arrive and humanity is in line and the people behind the counter are rocking and rolling to get stuff out ASAP. Got sandwiches with a few friends and we shared a few roll/small size sandwichers which are stacked and much larger than other places subs/hoagies/grinders/wedge sandwiches. Ragin Cajun — meat quality good, onions and pepers great — This sandwich deserves a cajun pepper sauce of its own… given it was lacking this we drowned it in the louisana hot pepper sauce on the table Meatball — well done — 4 large meatballs(or even two huge meatballs cut into half) great sauce and not sloppy at all with chease I will be back and add more to the review — cant go wrong with boars head products… one star knocked off as yet to see some finesse with their homemade sauce or spreads

TL; DR They have a lot of different sandwiches. My favorite hot sandwich is The Godfather. My favorite cold one is Italian Club. Pros: + Lots of Variety + The Godfather sandwich(hot sandwich) + Italian Club(cold sandwich) + They have good chips to choose from(«Dirty» brand and Hawaiian) + Have free small cups next to the fountain drinks for those who just want water + Grilled Veggie Sandwich!(has mustard and cucumbers which I remove) Cons: — The Pastrami Reuben was just ok — Ragin’ Cajun was bland — Odd way of stacking their large sandwiches Tip: To avoid the oddly stacked Godfather sandwich on the large roll, stick with the small instead of the large sandwich. They serve it on a different bread and it is much easier and satisfying to eat that way! Also, make sure to try the«Louisiana Hot Sauce» they have at the tables. Very tasty and not too spicy. Went today for the first time and since it is good and within walking distance from where I work I plan on coming here often to try out more of their sandwiches, which brings me to one of my favorite things about this place, the variety! They have a lot of different hot and cold sandwiches not just your usual Italian, tuna and turkey. Also some pictures saying they won awards for their pastrami so that’s always a good thing! Anyway I had the Godfather which was delicious. It was an Italian Style sandwich but with all the meats lightly grilled and the cheese perfectly melted on top. Poured some Louisiana Style hot sauce that was on our table and it gave it a really nice kick. Enjoyed the sandwich very much. My only complaint about the sandwich was the way it was stacked. They have the buns flattened and the stuff in the middle and they really stuff ‘em so it was kind of hard to fold the dang thing and eat it like you are supposed to. Look at some photos if that doesn’t make sense and you’ll see what I’m talking about. The meats were savory and the veggies were seasoned well. These people know how to make a sandwich. Definitely worth coming by if you are in the area. *Update: They also have a very good veggie sandwich and best of all it is appropriately priced! Some places like Big Mike’s Philly Cheesesteak will still sell their veggie sandwich for about the same price as a regular cheese steak which is a bit silly since there isn’t any meat on the sandwich. The price should be adjusted for that! Here they adjust prices based on what goes into the sandwich. The large veggie sandwich came out to 7 bucks and some change. Woot woot! I personally hate cucumbers and mustard on my sandwiches so I would recommend getting it without those ingredients.

Yummy yummy yummy! Tried the grilled chicken pesto and it was fabulous! Perfectly cooked, nice and gooey from the melted cheese, and a very reasonable price. I got the 6″ which was perfect with a bag of chips. It does get busy during lunch time so it’s a good idea to call ahead to avoid the long lines. The service was fast and all of the employees seemed nice. The lady who took my order was quick and had my order ready with a smile. Really good experience here. I’ll be back! Tip: Parking could be a challenge during a rush so I suggest parking at the 99 cent store parking structure since it’s just a short walk away. Highly recommended!

I’ve worked across the street for several years, but have only seldom come in for food because the place is packed during lunch. This place is El Segundo’s little secret for great Italian sandwiches in a small setting. Some parking is in the back, but most park in the front or across the street for both take-out and sit down dining. A large list of sandwiches are offered and you just can not go wrong with the excellent array of hometown favorites. UCLA fans will notice some of their teams, and the sandwiches are so meaty, it is hard to keep it inside the sandwich. I’ve never had a bad experience here and that’s saying something for 20 years of operation at this same restaurant. The crowd is a mixture of refinery, aerospace and military personnel, that probably take the free lunch shuttle from across Sepulveda Boulevard. Any one who likes hot or cold sandwiches for lunch will find what they are hankering for here!

Do yourself a favor and check out the online menu before you come here. With so many amazing sandwiches on the board, you will get overwhelmed. The very first time I visited Rinaldi’s, the lunch line was long and the people behind me looked ravenous, so I ended up panic-ordering the first sandwich on the menu. You won’t get a $ 5 foot-long here(a 10″ large sandwich will set you back about $ 10), but you will absolutely get what you pay for in terms of flavor, texture, and quality. The interior of Rinaldi’s is bare-bones(white walls, florescent lighting, linoleum floors, and aluminum patio chairs) and usually crammed full of corporate professionals and local law enforcement during lunchtime. I have tried the Spicy Andy, which is roasted chicken, cappy, bacon, pepperoncini and mozz, but my sandwich of choice is The Godfather. The Godfather is most impressive when ordered«for here». The sandwich roll is toasted and then layered with shredded iceberg lettuce, tomato, bacon, roast beef, pepperoni, salami, and cappy. Your sandwich is delivered to you on a flimsy paper plate: cheese oozing, and loaded high with meat. My sandwich was too stuffed to fold easily so I ate it like a flatbread, and it was amazing. For an easy way to spot Rinaldi’s look for the Police Station on Main Street directly across from it. There is plenty of street parking with high turnover, so parking is not a problem. 5 stars: Rinaldi’s is one of our favorite lunch stops with a lot of great choices. The sandwiches are large, delicious, and decently priced, and the service is quick and friendly. No matter what you get, it’s going to be delicious!

I went at noon on a weekday but instead of a lunch rush I was in and out and back to my car in less than 10 minutes. Not to say that they weren’t busy… They were just efficient. Yum. I got an Italian combo both times I went. It was very good and hit the spot. The Bread was soft. I get very upset at the bread choices at west coast delis, but rinaldi’s has good bread for subs. Parking could be hard, but both times I have gone it was pretty good. $ 13 for a whole sandwich, chips and drink so it’s a little pricey, but worth it. I can force myself to eat only half as well and that makes it more economical.

Came in here yesterday with my brother for a quick lunch. Man this place was packed. I’ve never been here before so I went with a simple sandwich called the Hamilton special(turkey, bacon, lettuce and tomato). It was so good that I can only imagine how good the specialty sandwiches are. The bread was nice and toasty without being dry and the bacon was perfectly crispy. My brother ordered a Lou’s Airforce(which is sliced turkey, ground turkey, marinara sauce and cheese). He let me try it and it was delicious. The service was super fast and we even found seating in the busy lunch rush. Will be back again soon.

I ordered a small italian w/an antipasto salad… The lady at the counter wasn’t too friendly. When I asked for extra dressing the lady said«I gave you a lot in the container». First off, you don’t know how much dressing I like in my salad, 2nd of all if I’m asking for extra dressing give me extra dressing I’ll pay extra I don’t care. Just don’t start getting smart & assume you know how I LIKEMY salad. The sandwich wasn’t good, I had better Italian sandwiches elsewhere. It was too dry & bread was a bit hard. But I would definitely come back & try a hot sandwich, those look delicious. The salad was fresh & very tasty and I got it w/provolone cheese, pepperoni & salami.
