WOW! Not one inch of pain after Dr. Calleros worked her magic on not only a HORRIBLE deep cavity, but, a HORRIBLE broken tooth! I am absolutely pleased with my experience! I drove all the way from Sherman Oaks, CA during traffic hour and it was so worth it!
I love the ambiance of her office and LOVE her staff! They are all very kind and make you feel welcome as soon as you enter the doors.
I am very happy to know she will be my dentist from here on out!

Everything at Calleros Dental was done professionally and personalized from start to finish. From my initial meeting with Veronica, my walkthrough with Julie, my patient profile with Jennifer, it was exactly what I had been looking for. Their current, and up-​to-​date facility speaks volumes for the level of care given to their patients. My time with Dr. Calleros was also very personalized, she spent time discussing my goals and what options were available to me. I am thankful to have found this business.

Nice people who recommend work that isn’t needed. They told me I needed a crown removed, a root canal and a new crown. They said the current crown was cracked. Got a second opinion and was told the info was bogus. It is now 1 ½ years later and my crown is still doing just fine.

When I changed insurances, I needed to find a new dentist and found this place. I instantly thought it was a great place. I walked in for the first time and they gave me a tour around the place and was introduced to some of the staff.
Problems that I have encountered are the business hours, scheduling and billing. At first, they were closed every Friday, but not they’re closed every other Friday/​Monday. It can get pretty confusing and sometimes be an inconvenience. As far as the scheduling, you might want to make sure they schedule your cleanings correctly. They automatically schedule three times a year, but my insurance only covers twice a year and had to pay out of pocket. I thought they would go by my insurance, but I guess not so I had to correct that.
The last appointment I had to reschedule. I assumed they were going to reschedule the cleaning and dental work together because that’s what I asked. They didn’t reschedule it correctly and I had to go in again two weeks later. In addition to that, they sent a bill for the first appointment when they said I wasn’t going to get charged. I asked to make sure because they want the payment the same day. When I went in two weeks later for the dental appointment, they admitted it was her mistake.
I have been coming here for about two and a half years I believe and like coming here because everyone is so friendly. They even remember little details about you. The only thing I don’t like are the little mistakes that can be avoided. Otherwise, I would recommend coming here.

I initially started out with 4 – 5, (office is spotless/​perfect, staff is friendly, knowledgeable) but I just didn’t appreciate being asked why I wasn’t getting all my dental work done at once. Hmm, the way the dentist asked it, it came across sounding very arrogant, and that definitely wasn’t appreciated. The question could have been asked more tactfully. Umm, several hundred dollars or more for dental work isn’t a insignificant amount, even if one lives in El Segundo.. (And that’s with insurance) People do have other bills to pay. When she asked that question, I did say something along the lines of saying that I couldn’t have the work done all at once. She understood at once that it was for financial reasons. .even saying, «Oh, financial», and then proceeded to talk to the hygienist about the weekend plans that she had with her significant other. Basically, I felt her asking that question, and then not even offering a possible solution.. reinforced the idea that doctors don’t really see their patients as people, but as dollar signs. Maybe some do, but jeez.. at least show a little empathy for your patients’ financial situation. This location does have the latest technology/​methods, but I did not leave with a very good feeling. It’s time to try out another dentist, probably the one that my co-​worker mentioned, even if I have to drive farther.
I also forgot to add in my original review that my mouth was sore after the cleaning (regular, not deep cleaning). She seemed more interested in discussing plans that she had over the weekend with the hygienist than her patient. No question asking if I was ok or not. By the way, I’ve never left a dentist’s office with that problem before. (mouth being sore)

Dr. Calleros and staff are incredible. I am officially over my fear of dentists! My kids love her. She did my crown in one day And it was pain free. She also is great at bonding and getting it to look natural. parking is easy as well.

Had a filling fall out and had no Dental Insurance. Dr. Calleros and staff were helpful, clear about the cost, and very very personable.

Dr. Calleros and her staff are top notch. I’ve been going to Dr. Calleros since 2004 and she has always provided a really great ‘dental experience’ (how great can it get, really?). Now that she’s in her new office in El Segundo, the experience is really amazing. I can watch TV while getting my teeth cleaned, which makes it easy to forget what is happening! The whole experience with the high end office setting is very soothing. The most important thing, though, is that Dr. Calleros is always on the cutting edge of dental technology. The staff uses this cool laser thing on my gums which has really made a difference for me. Also, Stephanie is great!
I also bring both of my two children (2 & 4) to Dr. Calleros and they LOVE visiting the dentist! I have to pretend to be her every night when I brush their teeth. Doesn’t that really say it all?

Everyone knows going to the dentist sucks. That being said, I travel all the way from San Diego county to see Dr. Calleros. She has an amazing staff of young ladies that have never left me dissapointed. However, as great as her staff is, what always keeps me coming back is how contemporary the doctor stays. The technology in her new office makes most other dental offices look like they’re from the stoneage. Dr Calleros makes choosing a dentist a no-​brainer… plus she’s a bruin!

I have been going to Calleros Dental for almost a year now and I have nothing but great things to say about Dr Calleros and her entire staff. Dr Calleros herself is exceptionally nice and I feel like she genuinely cares about her patients’ experience at her office. Her staff is incredibly friendly, and don’t give me the impression that they’d rather be somewhere else.
So far I have had periodontal therapy (which has totally fixed my gums), several routine cleanings, and teeth whitening. I have never experienced any problems, and anything that my insurance didn’t cover was a completely reasonable price.
Going to the dentist used to be a chore — something that felt like a hassle, which would leave me not wanting to go again for as long as I could put it off. Calleros Dental has completely changed how I feel about visiting the dentist, and it’s now something that I genuinely look forward to.
I’ve recommended several friends and coworkers to Calleros Dental and they’ve all been very satisfied with their service.

Relocated to CA for work from the East Coast. Had only 1 dentist before Dr. Calleros back in my home town and he is amazing! Very hesitant to get another dentist — I actually got my cleanings whenever I returned home! However, I haven’t been back in over a year and I’m not planning to return anytime soon, so a friend recommended Dr. Calleros.
I went in and indeed her office is brand new and very modern, both the décor and the equipment, which is a plus in my book. First time visitors meet with her and she takes all kinds of photographs and x-​rays and goes over any issues that she sees. She immediately saw some cavities that needed fillings right away, and some other potential areas that were developing but could be delayed. But she recommended getting them all done right away since they were very close and I’d be numb anyways. Had a cleaning and then scheduled the fillings for the following week.
My cavities were spread across upper and lower teeth, both left and right sides. 8 total fillings — she did them all in about 75 minutes. No pain at all — topical anasthetic to numb the needle going in, and the novacaine did the rest. I will say that the dental drills themselves have an incredibly annoying sound that scare the bejesus out of me. And the vibrations — dear god can’t somebody invent something better already!!! But I was numb and didn’t feel a thing. In fact, I was numb for another 2 hours after the work was finished, which is fine with me because I’d rather be numb for an extra hour or two than have it run out or not be numb at all.
Out of pocket cost for 8 fillings and a cleaning — ~$ 230. Total cost was around $ 900. Does she charge more than what the insurance will cover? Probably, but I’m fine with that. Insurance companies think that doctors and dentists are commodities, and that the services they provide are all equal. In their eyes, a cavity filling is the same regardless of who does the work. I however, do not believe that. Some dentists are obviously much more skilled than others, just like some doctors are better than others, and some auto shops are better than others, and some home contractors are better than others. We live in a capitalist society and I firmly believe you get what you pay for. For me, I’d rather pay a few dollars out of pocket and get a better than average dentist, and I believe Dr. Calleros is way above average. So I have no problem paying a few extra dollars for her service. It worked out to about $ 30 per cavity with a free cleaning thrown in. And most importantly — zero pain during the drilling and the reassurance that I’m in good hands and don’t need to return to New Hampshire for a regular checkup!

Reviewing a dentist is a tough job. It’s not like reviewing a restaurant where you can (nearly) always expect to have a great time, every time. A dentist sometimes has good news for you — and once and awhile you find out some information that you really don’t want to hear.
I’ve been going to Dr. Calleros since she operated out of Redondo Beach in 1999. She started off with me by repairing and replacing some old dental work — a modest upfront investment — and now my teeth have been worry free for over ten years. The entire staff, including my all time favorite hygenist, are wonderful and caring. You get a really personal dental service with Dr. Calleros and her team.
Just today, I had my teeth cleaned, floride treatment, and a lazer treatment for $ 72 with insurance. The last two items were optional — there was so pressure to get them or not — I just like my teeth. :)
Note: Dr. C has recently moved to a really sweet location — possibly the nicest, cleanest, most modern dental office in the South Bay. Kudos!
If you really care about your teeth and you want your experience at the dentist to be «Five Star» with excellent personal attention, give Dr. Calleros a try. After a few visits, you’ll be hooked!
