Popcornopolis

I found this gem in my parents’ pantry. Gave it a try and it really blows my mind and my taste buds! At first I thought it was just another gourmet popcorn that someone was trying to make a living out of. But, nope, this «Zebra» popcorn melts in my mouth like buttah!
Ignore all the negative reviews from this particular location. The popcorn itself is to die for!

and you can order them in batches. Too bad they don’t have a local site here in Seattle so I can just get it the same day!

There was some misinformation regarding this location. It’s a FACTORY/​MANUFACTURER and hopefully Unilocal takes note of this and somehow notates it in BOLDFACE so this mistake isn’t made by another customer such as myself. I went here a few days ago to the location on Oregon Street, thinking that it was another convenient store location as the generic photos posted on Unilocal indicated. However, once I arrived I noticed it was in the industrial part of El Segundo; I had to slow down to look for some sort of indicator like a sign. There is no obvious sign except for a small door with the popcornopolis logo. Once I got out of the car there is a «doorbell» and a sign that says on the door: «Visitors must go to the facility located on El Segundo Bl.» This already was a bad omen to begin with; so I drove back up the street two blocks and parked in the almost packed parking lot to another «factory» location. I went inside and talked to the receptionist who had informed me that they do not sell to customers direct; it was not a retail location. Sure, I could’ve called to find out this information, but if I type in «Popcornopolis» in Unilocal and locations pop up, why should I assume that one of them will be JUST factory? Hopefully they either DELETE this location OR indicate that it is NOT a retail location. What’s even funnier is that the receptionist had no idea that some of their retail locations choose not to sell certain flavors; either that or she was playing stupid. I’ll go with that latter, considering with every inquiry about ordering she would direct me to the website rather than display any knowledge about the company, marketing, distribution or otherwise. Waste of time; don’t waste your gas.

The management was genuinely concerned with the way our fundraiser went down and spent a few calls with me to go over the issues that we had. They let me know that they were going to discuss this as a team and would get back with me. To my surprise, they did call me back and actually made a few changes. The new forms are a lot more clear as to the policies and they state at the begining you can make UP TO 50%. I would give them 4 stars because the product does sell and was well received, but the policy of requiring you to buy in packs of 12 regardless of what you sell is still in place. As a company that supports at risk youth through their non-​profit, I hope that they do make the change soon to allow the groups that need these fundraisers to order what they sell and not require them to order more which will reduce the amount they raise. Over all though, I appreciate a company that at least listens and attempted to make a few changes to ensure no other groups will be mislead.

flavor of their cheddar, jalapeño cheddar, white cheddar and caramel corn is fantastic. my complaint and the reason for so few stars is that there are an extreme number of hard seeds and hulls. they are hard to ignore.
but if you are a popcorn fanatic, do give them a try.
