This place is great… the prices are very affordable for the amount of wash you gwt. I usually get the Super Wash, because RAINBOW FOAM!

If you want to pay $ 17 for an automated car wash that leaves you with a mass of soap residue on your car, only to find their air and vacuum equipment is all busted and out of order, come here.
I have a VIP pass, but will be taking a pass.

My favorite car wash in Southbay. It’s as fun as a car wash can be: rainbow soap, Pirates, and monkeys.

IThey are awesome. They even got me to give 5 stars to get a free towel… no extra charge! So convenient so good. I’ll keep coming back here time and time again.

Very good and fun car wash. It’s a weird thing to say about a car wash, but you can’t help but smile or laugh at the pirate sitting on the bench, or the giant velociraptor by the entrance. The wash itself is also entertaining, lots of lights going off. Play «On Melancholy Hill» by Gorillaz while you go through for a stupidly entertaining experience.
Prices are also very reasonable, they have deals throughout the week. The only con is that it can get crowded at times. They provide free vacuums for the interior, and remember to bring as towel to dry up whatever their blower doesn’t get to.

I regularly get my car washed at El Segundo Express Car Wash.
Cons: It gets crowded sometimes with limo-​type vehicles. People don’t pay attention when pulling out of a vacuum stall and collisions and close-​calls are a regular occurrence.
Pros: Free vacuums, budget-​friendly carwash prices, friendly staff, towel replacement program
I get automatic discounts for signing up with their membership program. They inserted a RFID label in my car and it allows me to get a discounted rate each time I visit the car wash. Warning: Don’t tamper with the label… we sold our last car and I removed the label. But I should’ve left in place. Once removed it deactivates. It became useless. Too bad, the next owner of our car would’ve enjoyed the discount perk.

Great car wash. Great staff. Get the VIP pass to save on washes.

If you have a BMW you know how ratchet those wheel wells and rims can get. I SPLURGED on the $ 10 wash and it made my baby look so pretty. Those rims were spit shine clean. I normally love washing my car myself, but every once in awhile you gotta «treat yoself.»
Of course… Murphy’s Law it rained the next two days. Such is life.

Reasonably priced and does a good job.
Out of about 30 visits, I did have one experience where the middle of the wash wasn’t working and I parked to tell them I didn’t get a full wash. The guy told me it was working fine. That really pissed me off and I did not come back for some time. CUSTOMER SERVICE! That idiot should have walked me in to check it and given me a free wash. I am sure they are all just minimum wage folks and I guess when you pay $ 7 for a wash, you should not expect service, but it is up to your company whether you want good will with your reasonable wash, or ill will.

Gets the job done for my big ol’ car that I’m so lazy to wash.
They have promo process on Mondays before 1030am $ 5, wacky Wednesdays where a basic wash is $ 5 until 1 and then after $ 6.
The vacuums… Are a bit weak but still able to pull some junk out.
I especially like how they tape your back wiper to avoid it coming off.
Bring a towel to dry off your car at the end.

Best drive thru car wash ever. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. One of my all time favorite loaders & staff is «Seth» i haven’t seen ray around lately. But seth will take care of you with great customer service. El Segundo 5 min express is always a clean carwash. I had to go inside once to use their restroom and it was super clean and had a great fragrance.
They SWAP your old towels for you, and have vending machines of anything you would need for a small price. This is and always will be my go to car wash. Open later than most car washes that too is a plus. I’ve recently noticed that are open on holidays. Extremely convenient. Thanks 5 min express. I still feel it’s wrong for people to use there vacuums if you are not actually going thru the car wash.

Value Express Wash costs $ 7. Buy a VIP pass for $ 5 to get all future washes for $ 5. The VIP pass is an RFID sticker placed on the windshield. I placed mine to the right (from perspective of inside the car) of my FasTrak transponder. I cannot see the sticker or transponder as they’re hidden behind my rear view mirror.
I prefer to get my car hand washed but when I’m in a hurry, this is the fastest option I’ve found. Veterans bring their own microfiber towels. I tend to forget those.
They have a program where if you buy their towels then they’ll exchange it for a freshly washed one for free. Their blue towels are thick and good quality at 2 for $ 5.

Decent automated car wash for cheap in El Segundo. You can pay $ 7 (or $ 5 on certain days) and get an automated car wash. The problem is that there are no people at the end to finish off the spots that the machine misses, so if you’ve got some troublesome stains on your car, you’re out of luck.
There are some really weird animal inflatables all around this place. It’s actually a bit creepy.

This is my ‘go to’ location to get my car washed. This business has a unique car wash with life-​sized action figures, pirates, dinosaurs lining the entrance of the car wash and line the inside of the car wash itself. It is also a car wash that allows you to stay in your vehicle as your car is being washed and following you vacuum your own vehicle.
After several recent late night Thunderstorms by the beach my car was looking like pretty ragged and desperately needed a wash. It was Friday (July 3^rd) and I knew everyone was off and knew there would be line but I went anyway.
When you arrive there are 3 vehicle lanes all equipped with a kiosk in order to pay for your car wash. Once you pay a barrier raises and you are allowed to enter only to wait in another line to actually enter the car wash, no big deal. As mentioned above I arrived and found this carwash to be quite packed. I choose a vehicle line with 3 cars in front of me and watched as the line of cars begin to build behind me and the other 2 lanes of traffic out onto N. Sepulveda Blvd.
5 minutes goes by, 10 minutes goes by, 15 minutes goes by, 20 minutes goes by, 30 minutes goes by and not a single vehicle is moving, no barriers are raising, all vehicles are trapped unable to backup and no employee in sight. Vehicles at this point are beginning to honk their horns, rolling down their windows and screaming and still no employee from the car wash has come to advise a single person in line of any type of delay or malfunction.
I finally took out my Iphone, found the phone number to this business on Unilocal and called them. A male employee answered, I advised I was a person stuck in line and was wondering how much longer the delay might be, what reply did I get from said employee ‘You wouldn’t understand.’ I replied I wouldn’t understand what? His reply ‘You wouldn’t understand what is wrong,’ I asked is the delay Top Secret and you are unable to inform customers of why we have been sitting here with notification from the staff as the reason, his response ‘You wouldn’t understand it is hard to explain.’ Before I could ask when an employee would come out to ensure that those stuck in this line could safely exit the line and go about our day the line mysteriously disconnected, hmmmmmm…
After possibly being hung up I attempted to callback but the line was busy. I guess after my call the folks behind me got the idea to call as well due to the fact when you call the phone to the business actually rings outside on the loud speaker alerting everyone.
Another good 10 minutes passed by before an employee came out and simply gave the cutting of throat symbol I guess to signal the carwash was no longer working. I observed the staff finally go out to N. Sepulveda Blvd and place cones preventing customers from entering the carwash, putting up signs saying ‘car wash is closed’ as we continued to wait in line.
Finally an employee with some brains began directing traffic through the detailing station of the car wash back out onto N. Sepulveda Blvd. I finally managed to get out of the line but did stop on my way out to use their vacuum cleaner. I left and found a car wash closer to the house and was finally able to wash my car.
I used to feel bad about simply driving into this parking lot to use their free vacuum cleaners with no intention to actually use the car wash, those feeling bad days are over. I consider what happened yesterday (July 3^rd) to be a ‘free’ lifetime pass to use their equipment at will.
This has been my only negative experience with this car wash since they opened and of course I will continue to use their services but they need to value the customers time and what happened yesterday is completely unacceptable.

I’ve had this place bookmarked for quite a while and this past Sunday I was finally able to go. Compared to other express car wash locations I have gone to before, this one has a pretty long wait. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s more popular or they’re too slow? Or this is their typical busy Sunday. Really neat place, the long line was a bummer, prices start from $ 7 for a basic wash up to $ 12 and up for extras. At the end of the wash they also provide vacuums to clean out the interiors. Overall this place was neat but I can’t say I will come back, the wait was a bit too long for me but they really did do an awesome job washing my car!

Rub-​a-​dub-​dub my car is thoroughly scrubbed after it goes through this automated car wash. It’s a dazzling rainbow-​soaped ride, with policeman, dinosaur and pirate mannequins to greet you along the way. What I don’t like now, which wasn’t there when this place first opened a decade ago, is the number of button-​pushing you have to go through to select your car wash service. Upgrade service? No thanks. Upgrade service? No thanks. Really, no. I don’t want machine-​run tire shine or whatever else you’re trying to shell at me.
How many times do I have to hit the No Thanks on the Upgrade Service button? Way too many.
I do like the do it yourself vacuums at the end of the wash, though, some vacuums have more suction power than others. That’s inconsistent.
Save! Save! Save! Couple bucks cheaper on Early Bird Mondays before noon, and all day Wacky Wednesdays.

Don’t fall into the trap of going here instead of your regular place because of traffic. Just keep driving…
Brand new car, not even 2 weeks old. I would go as far as parking away from other cars to avoid dings other parking hazards in LA. I made the mistake of getting my car washed here instead of my trusted Madrona Wash in Torrance due to traffic commute in the way home. The wash was corny, and really meant for kids to be entertained. The wash was extremely rough on the car. The vacuum has terrible suction and had trouble picking up sand. That’s when I discovered… The dent. Picture speaks for itself. Look at other reviews too. AVOID THIS PLACE FOR GOD SAKE!!! Do yourself a favor.

Pretty great car wash, speed being the number one cause for that. Wow, this place is fast. Sometimes I go on my lunch break and I could be in and out in like 15 minutes. And this car wash does a great job too! Surprisingly for an automated car wash.
The only thing is the first time I went in, the whole putting it into neutral was a little bit scary. You don’t really have control of your car so you have no idea how close/​far the car in front of you is. Also, the first time I went in and came out, there were huge scratches (not too deep but prominent) on the right side of my car.
I know this car wash says they are not responsible for any damages or scratches but that’s not too cool. Other than that, for $ 7 it does a bang up job. You can also vaccum and blow dry your car after the wash.
