Bob’s Screen & Glass

A great experience, not only is he on time for my job, but he makes sure the job is done perfect. He goes beyond glass work, he can fix a window frame where as most do not touch. Bob has strength like I have never seen before, as he took out and put back in a huge sliding glass door, amazing. His prices are excellent, less than most. Highly recommend.

I called here to get a screen for a window in our house that was completely missing one. Blayne came by and picked up a matching screen the next day and brought me back two brand new screens the following day. Quick and easy and super friendly to deal with. I would highly recommend!

Reasonably priced and did great work. Would call him again. I needed a window replaced that I broke and he came out within a day of me calling and fixed it on the spot.

I called to have about 20 screens made plus a custom one for my screen door for two Mobile homes. (One screen was for a stationary door) Blaine came out measured and sent me the bid that evening. The price for the screens were very reasonable. BUT he charges 75.00 to install them. Cha-​Ching! That’s $ 150.00. I think that’s way too much to install for about an hours work! I opt to install myself. Blaine arrived with the screens and all was good. I noticed the custom screen Frame was scratched up and brought it to his attention. He said it was from transporting. There were too many scratches all over for a transport. It looks to me that he recycled someone’s old frame. It’s ok. His approach would be better to tell me that and discount it! He said he would come back and do the stationary door the next day. He did and I was not home when he was there. He put a new screen on but he used the old 25 year old rubber piping from the old screen. It looks bad. I called him and left a voice mail asking him why he use the old piece and not a new piece. He never returned my call. I have waited about 1 ½ to write this review to be fair to Blaine. I would have given more stars had he called me back. I feel he did provide good service on the new products and showed up when he promised. Blaine I’ll give you more stars if you’d just return a call and make this right.

Blaine came back when I was not home and replaced the piping in the screen. Thank you. went from 2 stars to 4 stars

I needed a small window pane replaced after my dog broke it while barking at the mailman :) Blayne was really nice, showed up the afternoon I called, and his price was MUCH lower than two other estimates that I had gotten. I highly recommend Blayne.

I usually don’t write reviews for businesses who have not actually provided services but I think potential customers should know about it when the guy just played no show on a scheduled appointment. I called ahead to schedule for an in-​house estimate for window screen replacement and installation. Blaine promised to come between 3 and 4pm two days later. He just didn’t show up. Never picked up my call. Extremely unprofessional.

Quick service and reasonable pricing. I would definitely use them again!

Thank you yet again Unilocal reviewers for pointing me towards Blaine at Bob’s Screen and Glass. Blaine is a super nice guy, knowledgeable, highly competent, and really easy going.
My new tenant told me that she wanted to be able to lock a sliding screen door which did not work. So I called a few places in LA to get some estimates. While asking Blaine for an estimate, he suggested that he stop by to see if he could replace the lock and fix it instead, saving me well over a hundred bucks for a new one. Fine idea! I had to be there anyway to replace a bathroom vanity mirror so we arranged to meet at the condo. He took one look at the screen door and said the lock was fine, but the thing-​a-​ma-​jig (my word-​not his) attached to the wall which holds the screen’s lock was missing.
Backing up a bit, we had been hauling this heavy framed mirror from our car upstairs to the rental unit when Blaine had arrived. We asked him if he knows anything about installing mirrors. He said he did and I asked him if I could pay him to install it. He said sure, so I gave him the hooks, tools and stuff he needed to do the job. He measured, marked and hammered three hooks in, and had that sucker up so fast it was amazing to me. I fully expected to take about 45 minutes of my time with measuring, marking, hammering and then re-​measuring, re-​marking, etc, yet he had it up in the blink of an eye — Perfectly Aligned!
Now it was time to address the screen door… In his vehicle he did not have the part that goes in the wall which acts as a hook to catch the lock latch of the screen door. So dig this, I ask him if he thinks he can fashion a hook with the rings and hooks that were left over from my «hang the vanity mirror» project. He looked at what I brought, he bended and folded metal and voila! He turned one metal «hanging a mirror» part into a screen door metal latch and secured it to the wall — all in about 10 minutes — tops! Freaky!
What more can I say, this man comes highly recommended!

Blaine is a beast. Within 48 hours of my call, he showed up for an emergency screen/​window repair for my back door. It took him about 25 minutes to fix it back to new, and then he was on his way. The only reason I give him 4 stars is that it cost me $ 75 (which apparently is a visit minimum?) The price didn’t really bother me because my window was broken and he fixed it perfectly. I just would have liked a little heads up on the price.

My dogs broke the window in our living room, barking at a mailman. Blayne showed up a few hours later, fixed the window in less than an hour, and even improved the window’s sliding ease.

Called to see if i could set up an appointment. The company is in El Segundo and i am in Miracle Mile. I noticed that customers as far away as Agoura Hills used this guy and raved. He refused to come to be for a screen replacement. To me business is business. I hope they see this

Wow… that’s all I can say about Bob’s Screen & Glass!
It all started last year when the Spring cleaning bug hit my world. Decided to take off my mothers window screen to scrub them down (bad move). The screen disintegrated when a little pressure was applied (or perhaps it was Hulk like strength? Hulk no light dirt!) and then all that was left was a broken heap. My mom mentioned it sure would be nice to have fresh air THIS year (translation: get off your duff and fix my screen!).
I called Blayne on a Thursday morning and told him I wasn’t too sure about the measurements of the screen and just basically fessed up to being lame with measurements. He offered to come over and measure it for me that morning. Say what?! Who does that? He showed up right on time, took the measurements and said they would be ready the following week… and it was! The cost was so reasonable, I got 2 screens!
Thanks to all the Unilocal folks for putting this company (and Blayne) on my radar! Without these great reviews, I would be getting the stink eye and a heavy serving of guilt from my mama!

Blaine from Bob’s Screen and Glass is fantastic! He’ll help you explore different options patiently and has a great «can-​do» attitude. My friend broke 1 pane of glass in her sliding glass window. Unfortunately this window was on the 4^th floor. Most glass companies in SoCal didn’t want the job, or they were going to charge her a tremendous amount of money. Plus there were some contractors that were suggesting some serious construction work to replace this pane of glass, i.e. «we need to bring in a boom truck, and replace your entire window» WTF?
Blaine (sorry if I’m spelling your name wrong) did a fantastic job and was very patient with my friend. Plus he was very accommodating with tricky schedules. Thanks Blaine!

I stupidly busted my house’s window today while killing a fruit fly. I know, I know that sounds ridiculous but that’s exactly how it happened. The window was original to my 1920’s bungalow and therefore was instantly something I feared would be expensive to replace. In a panic, I quickly Unilocaled «window repair» and found Bob’s Screen & Glass. After calling and talking to Blayne, who was able to quote me a very reasonable price over the phone and make the repair TODAY, I was sold!
Blayne was friendly, professional and fast at replacing the window. The window looks great and you would never know that only several hours ago it sat shattered. I can’t recommend him enough!

I found Bob’s Screen & Glass (Blaine or Blayne???) on Unilocal and decided to try them out based on the reviews. It was a great decision on my part.
We had a situation and Blaine recommended that the most cost efficient way to just repair our existing window instead of replacing it.
Blaine showed up when he said he would, and followed up promptly (He had to make two trips to finish the job). On top of that, he’s a friendly guy.

We found Blaine on Unilocal through a random search as well. He came out and fixed our window in a flash. Super helpful and reasonably priced. We’ll definitely hire him again.

Blayne is a life saver! We had a problem that required the removal of a window, and re-​installation. It was an unexpected situation that put us in a panic. My wife went on Unilocal,and found Bob’s Screen & Glass highly recommended. We called and described the situation to Blayne. Even though it didn’t sound like we could do what we hoped to, Blayne said that he would come by, and see if he could help us. This is HUGE!
Blayne showed up the same day, actually within about an hour, and looked the situation over. He gave us his recommendation, we went with it, and he did the job immediately. He does great work, very professional, very friendly. I couldn’t believe how little he charged us for the work.
Blayne is first class. I have no hesitations about recommending him, and he would be my first call if I needed window work done, again. He’s the guy to call.

I found Bob’s Screen & Glass through Unilocal — was impressed by the great reviews, so decided to give them a call. Blayne was great! I had them remove four large, floor-​to-​ceiling mirrors. Price seemed very reasonable and they took the old mirrors with them.
I would definitely recommend them to others! They apparently do anything related to glass or mirrors.
