Well service its kind of good ummm yeah right I wen there for a tune up n they said yes then I left the truck there from 9−1around there then they call saying they couldn’t do it. I don’t care if they didn’t my problem was that I wasted 5hrs there

Great 4 four star rating very good service and very fast and convenient. Definitely recommend it for car lovers for car problems. !!! Eric who helped me out is a good and fast friend in need.

I decided to give them another that shot, and booked an appointment online for 4pm that same day. I showed up on time, and was told by the employees that they were closed for the day! They said that they now close at 4pm on Sundays. I told them I had an appointment that I booked online, and they blamed «corporate» for not changing the website times and that I should have called to ask them. When I booked my appointment, I made sure to include my phone number, but nobody ever bothered to contact me and tell me that they could not service my car at that time because they were going to be closed! I mentioned that was my second trip down there that day, and as I was leaving one of the employees wearing one of those white supervisor shirts told me that there was a sign on the door, implying that I should have noticed the new hours on my trip down there earlier that day. Terrible customer service.

I want to thank Alfredo, Eric, and Danny for all the help yesterday my car feels super safe to drive now they all made it happen and Eric even texted me to make sure i made it home safe. the guys really went above the customer service standards and helped a girl out i will always be greatful to the Pepboys Team this was a CHRISTMAS MIRACLE THANKS GUYS

Showed up twice 45 mins before close to just BALANCE 2 TIRES, they straight up just said no because it was too late. Even though they had 3 people on board all working on the same car the first time, and the second time same thing just one person less. They didn’t understand that I work late and couldn’t show up earlier. Then to top it off, when my car was serviced, the weights in the tire were scraping my caliper!!! wtf! Now the only time I’m in their parking lot is when Starbucks is too full lol

I came in on a Friday morning, Needless to say they where super packed, but they still found a way to take my car in, The service was super awesome, Eric was the one who helped me out, He was very efficient, and helpfull, With Excellent customer service, He had my car in and out with quickness. With that being said I am one satisfied customer.

They don’t even deserve a star at all. One of the mechanic is horrible and will place fault on you if they did a horrible job fixing your car if you are to come back the next day and tell them it’s still not fixed and your car isn’t up to par, especially after the «problem» had been fixed according to them.
Get a quote elsewhere and go off based on recomendations, im sure you’ll be better off not doing any business with them and in sure it’ll be less $$$. Just read all the complaints online for them.

They asked me what I needed to get done in my car I told then an alligment and they saw my car and said no it’s to low and I told them that pep boys have done it before in temecula

Subpar service and organization. I had a 5pm appointment, but two walk-​ins were assisted and were done before me. Not worth my time, will not return and I don’t recommend.

I’m sure pep boys is a great establishment that’s why they’re everywhere. However, this particular pep boys here in El Monte is beyond disappointment! I came here for the first time and will be my last for service. Oil change and rotate tires. These guys broke my nugget on my tires when removing it. Then went into my trunk without my permission to look for another one. I know because I saw them. Then they blame it on the pervious tech for screwing it on too tight. If u did not have the right tools for it, then y attempt??? To make things worst, they direct me to go back to the old place and have them finished what «pep boys» employees did not complete. Then they have the nerve to tell me, if my old tech does not take care it. Then come back and they might be able to find something inside their store. First of all, this offer should of been taken care of right away. Not wait for me to run around town, finding another tech to fix pep boys’ mess. Then paid again after i already over a hundred dollar at this establishment!

I have been coming to this Pep Boys in El Monte for about 8 years now because I have alway received excellent and honest customer service here especially from «Jaime». I was there on sunday for a battery exchange still under warranty and «Sergio» in the parts department was more than helpful, as well as courteous and professional. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for a few of the «Younger» clerks. Maybe it’s Generational but the more «Mature» employees at this Pep Boys really know how to provide exellent customer service which keeps me coming back so when they leave, I’ll leave, but for now I am satisfied.

I know some people had some issues with this Pepboys, but so far I been coming for 8 yearsand no problem.

JR is one of the more helpful mechanics I’ve ever come across in my history of poor car maintenance. He helped make my four new tires affordable and even warned me about my brakes and how to get them fixed most affordably — he drove up to us when he was off and on his way out of the parking lot to let us know this information. Mind blown. Outstanding customer service. Jaime was also really helpful AND hilarious. If you’re a chill person who appreciates a good joke, you’ll get along well here. We were quoted with a 2 hour wait time, ended up being 1.5 hours only. There’s a Starbucks right across the way, we killed time there and it went by quick. We’ll be coming back for future service, love these guys.

Didn’t do any major work, but just had to do a car inspection for work. jaime was helpful and informative. Free wifi in the waiting area which is a bit small. Work was done on time and car delivered as promised. No complaints.

Staff was very friendly. went in for a replacement alternator. they treated our old one multiple times just to be sure it was good or bad. it was bad so we ordered a replacement and they said it would be ready by 4 cause they needed it to be picked up. since I had work around that time I asked if there was an earlier time they can get it and without hesitation our helper (Jon) was on it and said 1 – 2 which was fine. So we went back home and waited for it and it actually came earlier then expected at 12 which was great. I would come back here for the service inside as for outside they’re over priced and seems to take longer then usual for small projects even with no orders backed up…-1 star.

My headlamp on my Miata went out the other day, so I stopped here to get a replacement. I would have bought the wrong part, if it weren’t for store manager Elena Hernandez. Not only did she volunteer to accompany me to the parking lot to see what type of headlamp was required; she knew the code by heart and wrote it on a piece of paper. I went to the parts dept, but Elena followed up and made sure I got the right headlamp. And because the store was out of standard headlamps, she cut me a deal on the more expensive crystal. Elena went out of her way to help me; she was knowledgeable, she saved me time and aggravation… and money! Thank you for a positive experience, Elena. I hope you get a raise!!! p. s. Elena told me to install the lamp was easy and I could do it myself. I did and saved on installation. And I felt empowered because I did it on my own. YAY!

Purchased a battery at different Pep Boys. Truck wouldn’t start, had to call AAA. Told me it was my battery. Since it was under warranty, I went to this Pep Boys. Bad Idea! They tested battery. Said it was «good». So I said fine turn on truck… of course didn’t start. They said we have to charge it for an hour to do complete test. An hour goes by and guy comes back… it is the battery, it’s defective, we’ll give you a new one. Not even 2 minutes later guy comes back, «we tested it again and you’re battery is good we can’t give you a new one. It’s probably the starter, I can give you prices on the starter.» I refused, went to my awesome mechanic RPM on Longden and Myrtle and they said it is the battery. They tested it and replaced it. Fail Pep Boys!!!

What a great shop with incredibly helpful, knowledgeable staff!
I found myself in unknown territory with a ’95 Honda that had just had major overhaul work done one month prior, now leaking antifreeze like a waterfall. It was Sunday and we had to get back to SF Bay area. Two people recommended this shop and they were awesome.
They discovered the problem (incorrectly installed water pump with missing bolts and the gasket stuck between metal), installed new water pump, did some other adjustments and had us on our way in just a few hours.
The manager Andy took time to explain and document the problem so I could request a refund from the shop that had rebuilt the engine. This old car has not run this smoothly in a long time!

PEPGIRLSAUTO!!! I always come here to pick up oils, batteries, fuses, and etc… I barely ask any questions! All the young kids in the back («Computer Desk») don’t know anything!!! (Simple FUSES) So I WAS PISS! (AFTER WAITING FOR 15 MINS!)… Ben the Parts Manager helped me! He was fast and knowledgeable about the store! Everybody else (In the back. «Computer Desk») is err err err… GO BACK TO SCHOOL OR CLEAN THE RESTROOMS/​FLOOR!

They misdiagnosed an issue with my truck and I spent $ 380 on replacing parts that were just fine. I have been back to a different Pep Boys several times to correct the issue only to find out that it was a simple adjustment the whole time. I talked to the manager and he offered me a refund on the labor cost in the amount of $ 270. I just wanted to be done with this issue so I agreed. The next day he called to tell me that he made a mistake and was only able to offer me a $ 50 store credit… Sounds like someone gave the corporate office a different story in order to save his own ass! Don’t trust theses guys!!!
