As I reflect on all of the progress my son has made over the past year, I am grateful for all of the support and guidance you have given to help him gain confidence in himself both as a student and a maturing young man.
The progress is reflected in grades and test scores, which were immediate in their improvement. He went from struggling with math concepts to scoring in national math competitions in the first month of working with you.
While the objective measurements are certainly a key reflection of your tutelage, I am most impressed with the rapport you cultivated with my son that enabled him to trust you with his concerns and aspirations. By taking the time to understand him, you were able tap into the best ways to reach his mind. You have been able to teach him to believe in his abilities, and this gain in confidence been reflected in his overall demeanor.
I believe every child deserves to be heard and understood for they are, as that empowers them to hone their strengths and support their weaknesses. You do a magnificent job at seeing the facets of children to help them understand how they learn, and how to manage situations where they may have challenges. This is a direct result of your willingness to give the time needed to get to know your students as well as teach them.

My daughter, a 8^th grade student, was struggling in school specifically with Math. After 2 failing report cards I contacted Tatum, told her of the situation and she made time for us. The 1^st day she identified the gaps. After 1 month a noticeable increase in attitude and grades resulted from her instruction. After two months my daughter’s grade went from a F to a A-​. The results speak for themselves. My daughter is more confident, tries and does not give up anymore.

When we started my daughter’s 8^th grade year she got a math teacher we were concerned was going to be difficult for her to keep up with. We immediately inquired with friends about Tutor Time Now that first week of school because we had witnessed their children’s school improvements after using TTN’s tutoring service the previous year. As soon as we met Tatum we knew we needed to look no further. My daughter was an A student from the start so there were no alarming reasons to hire a tutor other than simply to help her maintain her good grades in math. During the course of the current school year Tatum has done MUCH more than that. In moments of homework «crisis» Tatum has numerous times come to my daughter’s rescue not only in math but also in English, science, social studies and simply in helping her organize and prioritize her studies. Tatum is not just a tutor, she is a supplemental teacher. She replaces what is sometimes missing in the teachers’ curriculum and even forecasts what is coming up before they are presented in the classroom.
Tatum is not only intelligent and kid-​friendly, she is very perceptive and intuitive. Despite my daughter’s good grade’s, Tatum raised a flag that she may have a learning disability and encouraged us to inquire about 504 assistance at the school. She was right! My daughter’s teachers and school administrator’s had discouraged us in this matter because of her high GPA but when Tatum insisted, we had my daughter privately tested. We are now headed to high school and the 504 assistance has been set in place so she can begin her high school years with the support she needs. There is no doubt we will continue to have the co-​teaching that Tatum provides through high school and beyond if needed! The investment is worth every penny!

The first monster Tatum helped me tackle was the SAT. I came to her saying that I would be lucky just to get 2000 on the test. Specifically, SAT math was the biggest challenge for me. Before I had ever taken my first SAT, I took classes from Revolution Prep and got a 590 on the official test. A few months after, I retook it and scored a 610. After extensive reviewing and after many practice problems, my SAT math score jumped to 750, and my total score was 2110, more than 100 points over my goal! I was taking AP Calculus AB at the time of my first tests, and I am currently taking AP Calculus BC. My score improved even though more time had passed between when I had learned the math test on the SAT and the date I took it. Throughout the entire process, Tatum was realistic in predicting the score I would get; even though I did not believe I could do so well, Tatum had faith in me and ultimately, she was right. In the end, from the first time I took the SAT to the last time when Tatum tutored me, my score increased by 250 points.
Tatum was also a great help in helping me write essays for colleges. We had less than one month to write my personal essay before submitting it to Stanford University for my early action deadline. Even though there was a time crunch, Tatum was very gracious in that she extended her help beyond the times we met. She was willing to email back and forth with me to edit my essay, and as the deadline approached, she even met with me biweekly. We made it on time for the deadline, and I sincerely believe that my personal statement is the loveliest, most artistic, yet honest, piece of writing I have ever composed. Tatum helped me with supplemental essays for all fourteen of the colleges I applied to; she was very generous with her time and answered my emails almost instantly.
When it came time for college interviews, Tatum gave me lifelong skills that I know I will use for any interview in the future. We practiced everything, from the firm handshake to realistic questions about why I want to attend that specific college. She prepared me physically as well as mentally.
I wholeheartedly and confidently recommend Tatum Hutton as a tutor who exceeds the requirements and helps you do the best job.

It would be an understatement to say that Tatum Hutton just prepared me for the SAT, because she did more than that. From her attentiveness in hearing any of my concerns, to the constant feedback and wonderful advice she constantly sent me both in person and through email, Tatum became more than just my tutor. Tatum is a wonderful person who puts her all in everything she does, stopping at nothing to accomplish the realistic aspirations of each her students. Even with the busy schedule of my high school life, Tatum was understanding in trying to accommodate me in any way so that I could still get the daily SAT practice I needed while still being able to balance my extracurriculars and school work. I would not have been able to get as far as I did without Tatum and her care. She became my mentor as she personally helped me both with preparing for the SAT and with helping me decide my goals for life. There are many tutors out there to choose from and when you’re looking on this site, you wonder, «Why Tatum Hutton?» I’ll be happy to answer that for you. Tatum is not like the other tutors out there because she has one key characteristic about her that is absolutely vital in the tutoring business; she is understanding. When I say understanding, I mean that she is flexible, relatable, accepting, and tolerant, which truly makes an impact on the tutoring. She tutored me for the SATs and I’m the type of person to over worry and analyze so could you imagine how, for a lack of better word, freaked out I was?! Well I was… but guess who made most of the fear disappear? Tatum. She instills in you so many helpful tips and information about the SAT, or about whatever you may need tutoring for that you realize that the «big monster» was really just a little hurdle you can jump over in order to reach to the finish line.
