Kyle Can Fix It: Computers & Gadgets

I had a virus on my laptop I needed removed. Kyle was very friendly and helpful and took on the job. A day or two later I picked up my computer, but the problem was still there. He was professional and agreed to take another look. A few days later he said it was ready and he may have missed something before, but it was ok now. Great! I picked it up again and while the original problem seemed fixed, my laptop started doing new abnormal virus-​like things and my laptop was now extremely slow. I called him again to let him know and to ask that, if it was indeed a very difficult virus to remove, if he had any more ideas or if he could recommend someone else? I also emailed him, and then texted him. No answer. So I’m out $ 75, I still have a virus on a now very slow laptop, and I’m back to square one of finding a reliable person to fix it.

Yes, Kyle really CAN fix it, and he WILL fix it. Fast service, professional, personable, fair and of course, talented.
I had some spyware and he hooked it up. Got the bugs out, and kept in constant text contact with me to provide updates. While you might seem sketched out about dropping your computer off at a stranger’s apartment, there is no need. Everything was fine and Kyle seemed to me to be very honest.

The amount of positive reviews Kyle received made me believe that he was a good person to trust with my laptop; however, I soon found out I was mistaken.
I took my laptop in for a simple keyboard repair and he told me it would be ready a week later. When I received no contact from him, I sent him a message asking if it was done and he told me I could pick it up the following day. When I went to pick up the laptop at the given date, no one would answer the door nor would Kyle pick up the phone. I didn’t even receive a response from him until much later that night. He said I could pick it up the following day. Imagine my surprise when the exact same events were replayed – TWICE. Fed up with having been led around in circles for three days, I asked for my laptop back whether or not it was fixed. In a matter of hours, his story quickly changed from being sick to being in a different city and after that, he stopped responding entirely.
I’ve already filed a police report and will most likely be pursuing this issue in court. If any of you value your computer, I suggest you find a different and more trustworthy person for repairs.

My nephew had some nasty recurrent viruses on his laptop. His existing security program couldnt remove them. Best Buy wanted $ 200 to try and clean it up with no guarantee-​and my experience with Best Buy is they will totally wipe the hard drive to «fix» most problems. I found Kyle on Unilocal and it was the the best experience I have ever had with a computer tech. Viruses cleaned up, no lost files, quick turnaround, and Kyle is a nice guy as well. 60 bucks. Kyle let me know what was going on every step of the way. 6 stars

Kyle is knowledgeable, helpful and has reasonable prices. Great location and flexible hours. Prompt with replies and very accessible. He’ll fully explain what is wrong with your computer and then show you how to keep it up and running.

I had issues with my Lenovo in the last few weeks. I was getting frustrated and I wanted a quick turn around. So what I did is I found Kyle on this Unilocal site and it may have been one of the best things I have found on Unilocal.I sent him an email and within a day he responded and he even apologized for not responding right away even though he responded less than 24 hours later. His address is not too far from where I live so I jumped on my bike and went over there. He was detailed and he explained everything. What I also loved that he did was keep sending me text updates on what he is doing and gave me a step by step analysis. I know next time I have a computer issue this is the person to go to in the Nob Hill/​Pac. Heights area.

It is a pretty helpless feeling when your computer crashes/​breaks down and you realize there is so much data you haven’t backed up. This was my dilemma as my desktop PC literally wouldn’t turn on. I figured it was a hardware problem and after going through the HP online/​phone techs I got nowhere. Calling around I learned I needed $ 150+ just for some repair shop to look at it with no guarantee of fixing the problem. Then luck turned my way and I found Kyle Yoshida. Working out of his apartment in Nob Hill Kyle was just up the hill from me. After several emails that were responded to very promptly and with much detail I could tell Kyle knows his way around a computer. He stressed that if we couldn’t find a solution there was no charge to me. There was no wait, I emailed him on Thursday and he was working on it by Friday night. As I enjoyed my weekend out of town Kyle updated me several times via text message with his diagnosis. It turned out that my power supply had blown a fuse amongst other things. Rather than send me back into the open market where I am sure a new power supply isn’t cheap Kyle had a spare that he placed in my computer as well as a new fan. I had it back by Sunday (48 hours, good luck getting that turn around with the big repair shops) and it was working as well as ever all for a price that beat any I could find (by far). Kyle is a professional and values his clients, I would recommend him to any of my friends.

I got a virus last weekend on my new laptop. This thing took over everything! I was in a panic. I called around but every place I called wouldn’t do it until Monday — and then at 50 bucks an hour!!!
Then I found Kyle. Not only did he do it right away on the weekend — he spent hours on clearing my laptop of the virus and only charged me $ 40! He almost didn’t accept the paltry five buck tip I added! This guy made everything work again — and better! Kyle you are now my new go-​to guy, my compu-​guru, my laptop god! Thank you. My computer blew up and Kyle was generous enough to talk with me about solution paths. He confirmed my thoughts that it might be the motherboard, although I’m still waiting on the RMA to see if that will fix the problem. He’s very friendly and knowledgeable. 5 stars!

Kyle is very professional and knows everything about computers. He was able to diagnose problems with my laptop quickly and gave me prompt updates throughout the day. I never had to request an update from him because he was so proactive about keeping me informed. He also made some good suggestions of ways I can improve the performance of my laptop. I got my laptop back the same day I dropped it off, and after two days the new part that he ordered for me came in the mail, and my laptop was running nice and smooth again. I highly recommend his service. He is professional, knows his stuff, and his service is very reasonably priced.
