This past November Lightstream cleaned our gutters, as usual. Nathan, who led the crew, came to my door afterward to let me know that there were 2 holes on our roof. He told me where they were and the approximate size of them. Later, it occurred to me that perhaps they were the entry point for a roof rat problem we had/​have? I waited a month for a pest control contractor who couldn’t get up there bc his ladder isn’t long enough. Turns out all pest control contractors I called won’t go up there bc their ladders aren’t high enough. They suggested a roofer. None have returned my call about this tiny roofing job except the roofer who did our roof a decade ago. I waited another month for an opening in his schedule. He came but he says they don’t do carpentry, only roofs, and rats wouldn’t eat into asphalt shingles. In desperation, I called Andrew at Lightstream again. In just a few short days, Nathan was here to close up the holes! :)

During one of our rainstorms a few weeks ago I noticed sheets of rain pouring off our upper roof onto our lower one. Time for the roof and downspouts to be cleared of leaves and detritus. Several months ago we had our neighbors’ adult son do it, but it was time for a thorough professional job. I checked Unilocal and found LightStream. Alan contacted them late on a Friday night two weeks ago. They didn’t respond instantly as they did in the case of some other reviewers, but they didn’t need to, as it wasn’t an emergency. They did get back in touch after the weekend and said they couldn’t come last week because of predicted rains. Again, that was fine. They contacted Alan again earlier this week and scheduled us for this morning, early. Alan asked if they could come a little later and they were very accommodating, saying they’d be here between 10:00 and 11:00. I appreciated that, because I’m a late sleeper.
This morning the workers arrived at 10:15. I was just finishing up my exercises. They got to work and it sounded like Santa and his reindeer on the roof. I couldn’t have slept through that! They had some kind of vacuum sounding machine. I didn’t see it, as I was getting dressed. They reported to Alan that there were lots of leaves on the roof and that the roof itself was in good shape. In addition to cleaning the roof and downspouts (we have a tar and gravel roof and lack true gutters) they cleared out a drain right in front of the garage opening that was full of stuff. They did a good, thorough job and we finished in about 45 minutes. There’s more rain predicted for this afternoon/​evening and we feel well prepared. They also do windows and once spring has arrived and the rains are finished we’ll call them again.

This is a great company! Nathan and Diego did a fantastic job of cleaning my filthy windows, screens, rain gutters and downspouts. I figured some of that dirt was there for good, but they got it all and now my windows sparkle like new! Thank you Andrew! Called you at first for gutter but had you cleaned the windows on a house instead. The house’s been under constructions for months, dry paint and dirt stuck and wow! The windows look fantastic! Even hubby was impressed!

There are not a lot of companies that take such elaborate pride in their craft. These guys can do way more than just clean windows, they restored every substrate of our building, including the stone, glass, and aluminum frames.

Andy and his crew came out to clean our windows in what was probably the first window cleaning in 25 years. The crew was very polite and easy to have around. Best of all, they were able to remove the mineral stains from my 100-​year old windows that I figured were stuck on there for good. It is wonderful to have clear windows and I am looking forward to having him keep my windows in good shape from here on out!

Great company. They came out last minute to do a gutter clean before a big storm. They were lifesavers! I called about 8 companies and no one else could do the work that quickly. Finally, a workman recommended them to me. I called and asked if they could do a gutter clean that day and said that I would be more than willing to pay an extra fee for the last minute work. However, they told me that wouldn’t be necessary. They arrived, cleaned, and left. Very fast and efficient. It’s also extremely easy to communicate with them. Andy was always very responsive and very polite. I will definitely use them again.

Did your home survive the Dec 11, 2014 stormaggedon in the Bay area? Well, thanks to Andy and his team coming out the afternoon before, we did! (See pic that we added to this page… yes, I went out in the downpour to check because I couldn’t believe how hard it was coming down.) If you’re on the go, like we are, it’s also nice that Andy will communicate/​respond to text messages; I just find it’s faster and more efficient to communicate this way once appts are scheduled etc. So appreciate that.
They also did our solar panels — yes, they just got wet the next day, but even a hard rain won’t take off accumulated dust etc (think of your review car window after rains and before it gets wiped… it doesn’t get clean just by water running on it).

Lightstream Home Services did a wonderful job cleaning my house’s gutters. We live beneath a neighbor’s very messy redwood trees. After I received a call back from Andy, they came out the same day. Like acrobats, Lightstream’s workers climbed up on the roof with ladders, blew everything off the roof and out of the gutters. The completely cleaned up all the fallen debris off of two decks and the ground. They also worked very quickly. Their price was reasonable compared to other providers I researched. Great job!

My husband and I contacted Andy to clean the windows — inside and outside — of our condo, upstairs & down, following a kitchen remodel. The guys that showed up did an excellent job. Just had another cleaning done by Lightstream and, as always, they have provided me with crystal-​clear windows and immaculate cleaning. Since moving to our house in Berkeley over 8 years ago, Lightstream has been the only window-​cleaning service that we use 2 – 3 times per year. Lightstream was first recommended to us by our real estate agent who is familiar with all of the quality real estate-​related services in the area. We have never used another window cleaning service.
But it is not just because Lightstream does a good job cleaning windows, the crew is always friendly and polite and the rates they charge are very reasonable. Moreover, Andy schedules his crew as soon as possible (usually the week that I call).
They also do a wonderful job cleaning our gutters on an annual basis and meticulously clean the tile roof of debris from our pine tree. Again, very reasonably priced and professional work.

I’ve been using Lightstream for many years, and year in, year out, I receive excellent, reliable service. Andy Brown and his crews are quick, efficient, and professional. I know that when I call Lightstream I’m going to be happy with the results. I can’t recommend them enough. They were at my house last week and my gutters are clean and my windows and screens are sparkling. Once again, all in a day’s work for Andy Brown and the professional at Lightstream.

I’ve been a customer of LightStream for the past 10 years and they’ve always done a fantastic job! I have always received an immediate response to any inquiry for service and usually have my requests for gutters cleaned or windows washed within just a couple days or so. They are very efficient, professional, excellent work habits and most importantly never any cleanup or problems after they’ve completed their work.

I called on a wednesday to get a quote and Andy said he would go by my office on thursday, well on friday I called back only for him to say «I’m sorry, I will try to come by today», forget it!!!
