Just a quick follow up – went to the Sizzler website and voiced my concerns about this closure of Sizzler’s only east county location-left my phone number and requested a call back from someone… And it never happened. Guess they don’t care about leaving their customers in the lurch– so will think twice before patronizing one of their other locations in the future. So sad to see a formerly good restaurant no longer care to respond to customers inquiries.

I am very sad to say Sizzler on Fletcher Parkway is no longer there. A few days ago my boyfriend and I went there only to discover no cars, no lights on, and no signage. A notice was posted on the door indicating that they lost their lease. This is a big disappointment because now the only one anywhere near us is all the way over on Imperial Avenue, which is an area we don’t know and have no business being in. I mean that in the sense that it’s completely and totally out of our way– we don’t know anyone over there, there are no bills to pay in that direction, no errands to run, etc. The Fletcher Parkway Sizzler was right in the middle of everything we need to do so we could run errands and get shit done, then treat ourselves to a steak. No more steak for us. :(

Good news if you miss the El Cajon store: the entire management and some of the server staff is now at the location on Imperial Avenue. We went there today and were pleasantly surprised to see familiar faces as soon as we walked in! The food and atmosphere are just like El Cajon. The only difference is they do not offer brunch. That is because Corporate doesn’t like it. However, if you were a brunch fan, take one of the customer survey cards from your server and tell them. Maybe they will add brunch there. Anyway, it may be a little further, but go there and you will be pleasantly surprised. The gang from El Cajon Sizzler took their top notch service to the Imperial location with them. Go and show them your support.

Came for an early dinner with my mom and she said she’d rather drive out here to this location than go to the Sizzler near her. Friendly staff from the moment you walk in. Good service and good food. And its clean! This is no 5 star dining so don’t expect something spectacular, but the food is good for the price. We’ll be back :)

Worst service we’ve ever received EVER since I moved to the US for more than a decade! We are an Asian family and as soon as we walked in, we were treated differently. We ordered at the front desk and paid for it, then seated and waiting for our meals. The waitress was extremely RUDE. We had paid for salad bar, and before we even had any food, she reminded us twice that we are not allowed to share our salad(we haven’t even started eating anything yet!) When she brought our food to the table, she reminded us one more time that the salad bar can not be shared! There’re 3 of us and each of us ordered a meal, plus an extra salad bar and we weren’t even sharing! Enough is enough! We couldn’t take it any more and decided to walk away from the restaurant and we ate NOTHING! We didn’t even bother to complain to the manager because she treated us just as rude as the waitress when we met her at the front desk. This happened about 2 years ago and we never went back since. I don’t know if they treat their customers better or not nowadays, but it indeed is the worst dining experience we ever had in the US. If you are white, you can probably get away from this, but if you are NOT white, stay away from this restaurant!

This place is under appreciated. They have a very wide choice salad bar buffet. Which includes a very respectable taco bar. The carnitas are very tasty here and well worth the price of admission alone. They often have coupons which makes their entrees even sweeter. Service above average. Give this Sizzler a try. It’s better than Denny’s or Home Town Buffet for about the same price. Very nice !

What can I say except what a nice surprise going to a Sizzler. Used to go when I was a little kid but the chain went down hill for many years. This particular location was excellent in terms of food, cleanliness, and absolute prompt and friendly service. Don’t buy the 2.5 stars. This place is doing things right. I had the sirloin steak and an outstanding salad and desert bar. Caught the manager walking around actually cleaning tables… management gets it at this location. I will be back.

Wow! I am so surprised with the low ratings. The restaurant was clean and service was great. The food tasted good and the salad bar on Sunday was fresh and good too. For what you get it’s not bad and I would come back again.

I have been going to Sizzler for many many years and this is my favorite. This place is kept up pretty nice compared to other Sizzlers who have operated as many years as this one has. I have always been impressed with the steaks and the salad bars. The customer service is the reason I continue to come back.

I have not been to Sizzler in over a decade, since it was my friend’s turn to pick, and we were in the mood for a salad bar on this warm day, we ended up here. The all you can eat salad bar cost $ 8.99 per person for lunch, but they gave us a $ 2 off per person coupon, so it only cost $ 6.99. I ordered an Iced tea and my friend order a lemon aid an they both cost $ 2.49. Right away I went for the spinach salad and some beef and vegetables stew.( ) The spinach salad was fresh and good. The soup was very hearty and full of savory beef and soft potatoes.( ) I also tried a few lightly breaded chicken wings and onions rings. Both were okay, but they tasted as if they had been sitting there a while. The wings were a little dry and needed some kind of sauce.( ) They give you a plate of toasted cheesy bread when you site down which was pretty good with nice flavor.( ) The salad bar was nice. Most of the items were filled and looked fresh. I also tried a little” krab” salad and steamed broccoli and they were good.( ) The service was very good and attentive, but not intrusive. I got refills on my ice tea and a few times I was asked if everything was okay. Nice inexpensive salad bar…

This is by far the best Sizzlers I’ve been to in SD. (Not a fan of the Filipino Sizzlers down in National City but I believe they are no longer in business) On both occasions that I’ve been here, both of the servers were awesome!(I think one of the girls name was Liz) What can I say? It’s not Flemings or a high end restaurant but the food is worth the money you pay. Steak and all you can eat Shrimp?! Yes, that’s right I ate all the shrimp my stomach could take. Dinner specials are going on so be sure to ask. My date had the Steak and Lobster tail for $ 15.99. How could you go wrong with that. He was a content man. The cheese toast is always soothing to my tummy. Definitely will return as often as I could.

I think this is one of the better Sizzlers I’ve been to. It’s not a fancy steak restaurant. It’s place to get an inexpensive steak and salad bar. The lettuce was fresh, the salad bar was kept clean and the soups were hot. We came here last night on a whim after stopping by the Smart and Final next door. Our food was served quickly, the staff was pleasant, and no one looked twice while my eight month old son tore through their fresh fruit and spaghetti with meatballs. You can beat Sizzler for their prices and convenience. We will probably return next time we need to go to Smart and Final.

We’ve come here for some group meetings, and it;‘s generally fast and a good value for lesser quality food. This time, we ordered Fettucine with shrimp– their«special» which had two teaspoons of fettucine sauce, and was baked with stick like slivers of parmesan. When we asked for additional alfredo, the waitress roamed to the back of the restaurant, and we watched her talk to other tables for 18 minutes. A half an hour later she brought(I kid you not!) TWOMORETABLESPOONS of alfredo sauce. Others at our table warned u to be warry of the corn fritters, and we suggest you avoid them, too. The fruit was nice, though. Doesn’t really matter what we say here, Sizzler staff doesn’t read this, or other reviews.

I love watching people place four pieces of lettuce on their plate before drowning the salad with gelatinous ranch dressing. Remember those Nickelodeon shows where these buckets of slime would envelope somebody? Yeah, well imagine that but with salad dressing. You could fill a concrete mixer with the amount of ranch they dump on their plates. Anyway, ordering the salad bar is a precarious decision. They have diced«ham» that looks more like a mix between shredded pink upholstery and plastic. I should also mention the diced bananas that are engulfed in fruit jelly(I want to meet the magician that thought of that one). Aside from the salads, you can also choose from a variety of other items. Take for instance the carnitas, which look like something scooped out of a rain gutter after a thunderstorm. You can also eat ground beef, for the purposes of making your own taco, but the stuff looks like wet mulch. They also used to have chicken tenders in the shape of dinosaurs, but the last time I ate at this establishment they did not have them. I can only guess they were too high-class for their salad bar. The saving grace is probably the ice cream machine. I only say this because it washed my taste buds clean of the other hyper-sodium based selections at Sizzler. I should also mention that two of the«clean» plates I grabbed looked like they had been washed with volcanic ash, since they had dark particles dusted all over them. I think I rather eat Soylent Green.

Puke Puke Puke! I freakin hate buffets, and this one is the worst. I was forced to go there for this past Mothers Day 5÷9÷10, my aunt and granma love it. Whatever I know me, and how it is once I leave the starch buffet, tummy ache and gross. So I avoided all the other crap and stuck solely to the salad bar. Yeah no way around it, as soon asI got home, I threw up for the next day and a ½. Who gets sick from salad. And heres the best part, when the waitress asked if thats the only thing I was eating, I said yeah sadly I hate buffets, she was quick to correct me and say«Um, this is a SALADBAR not a Buffet Sweetie» Wrong, its a buffet and its nasty and disgusting. East County’s finest were all out to support there local Sizzlers, so it was far far far from high class dinning. Never Ever Ever Go there! Yuck. Never!

1. Tell me about yourself. I hate your restaurant and it saddens me that a few of my coworkers considers your establishment fine dining. 2. What do you know about our company? That your steaks are sub par and your produce probably comes by way of Sysco or US Foods. 3. Why do you want to work for us? Who the f*ck said I wanted to work for you? I just want to pay my bill and leave . 4. What unique qualities or abilities would you bring to this job? If I were to join your team I would bring with me functional taste buds. 5. What are your major strengths and weaknesses? I can kick your ass on Words With Friends but Id probably lose to you in DDR. Loser. 6. How long do you plan to stay at our company? Where do you see yourself in five years? As soon as I can figure out what days you pack up all of your cash to take to the bank. Five years from now I plan to be nowhere near a Sizzlers. 7. Tell me about a time that you failed at something, and what you did afterwards. I failed by coming here to eat. I threw up on your bathroom floor. Sorry, I couldnt make it to the toilet. Popped a few breath mints afterwards. 8. Describe a time when you worked on a team project. What was your relative position on the team? Were you satisfied with your contribution? How could it have been better? Dividing the goddamn bill correctly between a bunch of cheap ass coworkers. My position was that I was pissed off. Yes. I contributed my fair share. My apologies to the server for the $ 1.25 tip. 9. Have you any questions for us? Yes. When are you guys closing shop so that another place can give this space a whirl ? 10. Is there anything else that you would like to contribute ? Yes. Go to Flemings, Ruth Chris’s, Lou and Mickeys or Mortons. Take notes. Lots and lots of notes.

This Sizzler sucks… Went there for dinner last night. Long lines and not enough cashiers. I ordered a cheeseburger. It tasted alright but I would later learn that it was nasty. I got sick later on that night. Coming up out of both ends if you know what I mean. If that wasnt enough, the service flat out sucked and I will never ever return here. Our«waitress» or whatever you want to call her was useless. It was a little busy and I can understand that service wont be the best but… she walked by every single other table in our section MULTIPLE times and asked how they were doing and if they needed anything. She didnt even come by once to ask us. My wife asked her for another plate and it took her 10 minutes to get it and she didnt get it until my wife asked her for it again. She never offered a refill on our drinks and my wife had to ask her for one. I had my empty soda sitting there on the edge of the table and I saw her look at it multiple times as she walked by but didnt offer a refill. It was the worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. It was the first time in my life I didnt leave any sort of tip. Piss poor service and the fact that I got sick make this a one star review and it also makes this a place I will never go to again.

About a week ago we decided to try Sizzler again, it had been about a year since i went there, dont really no why but anyway they had some great deals, i got the steak and baked potato with the salad bar. The salad bar was great, very fresh, lots of selection. The soup is always my fav(yummy clam chowder). My steak was awesome, cooked just right and very tender and the taste was just A+ Had a great waitress too. I will be going back soon!
