Sherwin-Williams Paint Store

My husband sent me here to pick out paint for our home. I was helped by a really nice young lady who was very informative and knowledgable. Way better then big box store’s paint department.

We just painted the entire interior of our new home and used Sherwin Williams EMERALD paint (40% off paints & stains sale made it very affordable and they have these every 4 months or so). Emerald paint is worth every penny-​beautiful finish (we used SATIN for the walls, SEMI-​GLOSS for baths). The reason for this review though is for the ‘outstanding’ customer service I received the many times I visited last week to pick up more paint and supplies for our painters. Derek and Robert are stand-​outs! They were always polite and patient on the phone and in-​store. Every order they took came out perfectly and was ready for pick-​up when they said. A BIG thank you to Sherwin Williams in El Cajon and to Derek and Robert for all of their help!

Great service. Let them know what your doing and they will guide you to which paint will work best. Many colors to browse in shop, but get the Sherwin Williams Color Snap App. This app allows you to snap a photo of a color you love, save it and produce a VERY similar color. OR bring in a sample fabric, tile etc to color match.
Go mid morning for a nice quiet place to pick up your paint. Get on preferred customer list, this program saves your colors for 6 years and receive discounts. Also allows you to ring them up place an order and have it ready for pick up, very convenient. You will be like a PRO!

We were ready to paint our 50+ year old ranch style house and could not decide on the color combo that would work best. Via computer — Sherwin Williams Color Visualizer helped us by being the easiest site to use online, uploading our own house picture quickly, having fast and simple masking (shutters, garage area) abilities online and it imported each color cleanly to our photo. Then, it suggested complimentary colors and we were able to work quickly with different tones of those colors until we got exactly what were looking for… so, it was off to S/​W store on Magnolia in El Cajon. Don’t let the small size fool you — the crew and management of this location have everything you need in the store to produce a professional grade paint job and they were patient in ensuring that we bought the correct products.
You get what you are paying for in paint — there is no doubt. Although we could have gone to a Big Box store for paint and supplies, the quality of Sherwin Williams paint was apparent as we sprayed, rolled and brushed it on. If you think warranty is not that important in paint, you are mistaken. why? Because there is no way you will want to paint that house again sooner than 10 — 15 years and you have to rely on the color staying as vibrant and flexible as you intended the day you painted…
