If I would rate this place with 0 stars I would! They have horrible service all around, I have been sick 3 separate times and tried scheduling an appointment for each time. Not once did I ever receive a phone call in return to my concerns… twice was for asthmatic concerns so once I did not receive a call back I brought myself to the Urgent Care in Santee located across from sonic. (Excellent service over there BTW) Anyways Dr Muhammad A Azam is by far the worst dr I Have ever had, needles to say I will be switching ASAP. DO NOT GO THERE, YOU’RE BETTER OFF WAITING IN THE 6 HOUR LONG ER LINE!

Dr. Azam has been my family’s doctor for almost 20 years. He is very knowledgeable and very personable. Easy to talk to and he listens. Cares a lot about what he does. There may be a wait at times but he definitely makes sure that you are taken care of before leaving the office. Would definitely recommend him!

If I could give him 0 stars I would. My Father was a client of his, he treated him for a pulled muscle in his shoulder when in fact he had lung cancer. By the way feeling like you have a pulled muscle in your left shoulder is a sign of lung cancer.

Been going to this doctor my whole life. Also helpful and always has a solid diagnosis. When my insurance switched at work, I paid extra to keep him as my primary.
Yes, he can get busy and the appointment times can be a week or two out, but what good business doesn’t get busy and booked?!

When you walk in the place, it’s somewhat decent. With the new location, it’s really small compared to his other office on Jamacha. His staff are ridiculously rude and this doctor makes you wait for HOURS! And when you’re done waiting, he comes in only to tell you that nothing is wrong with you. I’ve been to this doctor numerous times with my mom and it’s the same experience. Do not waste your time here with this doctor or his staff. Do not recommend to anything. Find yourself a better doctor!

I have read the reviews on this page and have to wholeheartedly disagree due to the service or lack thereof shown to my mother. My mother is a smoker, we all agree that this is detrimental to her overall health. For the last 4 years she has had episodes where she experiences shortness of breath, has trouble walking and has days where she simply sleeps all day because she’s tired. My mother has a history of plaque in her arteries and also has COPD. My mother has been suffering these episodes for 4 years– Dr. Azam attributed this to her lungs– even though these are classic signs of heart issues. Last week my mother became ill and called Dr. Azam. He called in prescriptions for her and didn’t see her. She called him the next day and described her sypmtoms; shortness of breath and that her calves and ankles were very swollen– he said the swelling was from the pregnazone. The next day, during a trip to the store, she became so weak she almost fainted and immediately drove to Dr. Azam’s office unannounced. He told her to go to the emergency room where she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and the swelling in her legs was a result of HEART FAILURE not pregnazone. We later learned that Dr. Azam had NEVER performed an EKG which would have easily caught the symptoms of heart failure (which we date back to 4 years!) After talking with our mother (who is in her early 70’s and in frail health) we learned that the doctor would call in prescriptions based on our mothers self diagnosis and would rarely see her. I understand how the doctor could relate some of her health issues to smoking but not taking the extra steps to ensure that his diagnosis was correct almost cost our mother her life. She has 3 blockages in her heart, one at 95% — which are going to be treated by stent insertion. We will never, under any circumstances allow our mother to go back to someone who so obviously lacks follow through and thoroughness regarding his elderly patients. If I could give minus points I would.

Dr. Azam is personable and good at what he does. I definitely recommend him.

Dr. Azam is one of those people who was born to be a doctor. He practices medicine to help people and families. He not only treats their physical issues, but gives sound advice as well. The staff is great too.
