Empire is terrific and this location is not only the one closest to my home replete with copious parking and proximity to many other great stores, but the most pleasant and helpful. Alyssa has helped me repeatedly and makes superb recommendations with no agenda to upsell me. She recently ordered specific products for me and though she told me when to expect my products, she very courteously called me upon their arrival that morning. But, I must also give thanks and praise to the store manager, Debra and another stellar employee, Jennifer. Debra allowed me to make a questionable return because she knew I was being truthful and I appreciate her judgement! The store is beautifully stocked and merchandised which induces me to look around even further and feel a pleasant overwhelmingness when there.(Akin to entering Nordstrom and wanting to run to every department). And, though I don’t lose control in terms of buying superfluous products, I often try a new product with the confidence that if it doesn’t work for me or I don’t like it, I can return it, granted I haven’t used a large quantity of the product. I love this attribute but admittedly, I seldom return my purchases but it gives me confidence that if I buy something inappropriate, it’s not a total loss. I feel that Alyssa is quite accurate and honest in what she suggests and thus, greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this store as perhaps Empire’s finest and best stocked with really superb customer service. Bravo to the owners and thank you for bringing such a gem of a store to my neighborhood.

I have been shopping at this store for years, but never again. Whoever is in charge of the store is not customer friendly ATALL(the clerk told me their polices were from corporate, so perhaps all of their stores are equally bad — I do not know). Empire does not stand behind their products and makes returning or exchanging anything impossible. I bought a travel hairspray with a messed up sprayer and when I attempted to return it, the clerk took the lid off and sprayed it(as if I was lying) and told me «it was fine,» and she could not return or replace it without a receipt. I told her I would go home and get the receipt and bring it back. Even at that, she said she could only give me a 50% refund! She then quizzed me when I purchased the product and when I told her about five weeks ago(as I’ve been out of town), she said she couldn’t help me as it has been over 30 days. I have never had an experience so bad at a retail store. The customer service is non-existent! I will buy my hair products online, like I do almost everything else. Good luck, Empire — once others get burned by your shoddy customer service policies, you will be done!

I have been coming to this location for years and years due to proximity to my home, very convenient. In all of the years although offered countless times to return any shampoo/conditioner that I was not thrilled with I have never done so until recently when a staff member convinced me to try a different product. I utilized the product 2x and was not happy, so i thought, why not, they are always offering, I will exchange it for something I know and like instead. The Manager gave me such scrutiny, opening the bottle, measuring, making comments about how much was used, making me extremely uncomfortable. Very resistant to do the exchange. Forget the countless thousands of dollars I have spent in her location over the years, the appreciation for repeat customers and loyalty. I am over the attitude of the Management here. Often out of products I want they suggest others so they don’t lose a sale at all, offer graciously to return any item but give you a hard time when you do? I will drive the extra miles to another location. Employees are always pleasant, it is honestly the Management/Owner that is not setting an example for them to follow. Just tired of the negativity.

I don’t know who this female manager is but she needs a complete attitude adjustment. She’s nasty to everyone. My wife wanted to see if she could get a job there and she was completely uncourteous. Which is pretty sad. My wife came in today asking about eyebrows to see if they did anything about them. She was very rude to my wife to which I don’t appreciate it. My strongest recommendation is that she needs a complete attitude adjustment and she needs to learn customer service. I don’t remember her name but she was working currently 4÷1÷2015630pm.

They don’t always have what I need. A lot of times they are out of products. Even though I go in all the time they ask me for my ID every single time. After 5 years they should know who I am.

Awful! I asked the girl working for a nail polish, she selected it for me and put it in the bag and I paid. I got home and saw that it was half full and very clearly used. I went back in ten minutes after purchasr and the manager accused me of using half the bottle in the ten minutes and the girl refused to admit that she sold me a used product. Instead of getting me a new one the manager made me feel like a criminal. Never ever go here.

I came here awhile back to get some products on bleaching my hair. The girl helped me out and sense my hair was a dark brown and I wanted blonde hair she said I should use a 40 developer, I went home read the directions pretty basic I take a strip and test it and it was good. Well I start bleaching and it was really hurting and then the pain became so unbearable I was crying I threw my head in cold water and I had blood and blisters on my scalp. I had about a first degree burn and my sister called the store to ask what had happened why it burned my scalp and the girl said«I did not do anything wrong» and hung up on my sister. She helped me out so I feel like I should have gotten some discount or freaking something or at-least maybe I’m sorry that happened to you. I will never return to this store again. I looked like an effing skunk for a month.

I have been to this beauty supply store on numerous occasions and have never regretted it. Each time I go there I am greeted with a smiling, knowledgeable worker who is more than happy to answer my questions. The young women that helped me today advised me on which bleach packet to use for my dark hair in order to dye it blonde and advised me on how to properly use it. I would definitely go there again.
