El Cajon KinderCare

As a parent, I have looked at ALOT of different daycares and learning facilities for comparison. I was always kept in the loop, I knew exactly what was going on, my children’s needs were provided for and they immediately connected with the staff and other students.
They were continuously learning second languages, arts, crafts, and their behavior policy was clearly explained. They had holiday concerts and focused on all cultures instead of one. My children were able to learn many different things and it showed in all of their work and excitement. Staff always clearly explained everything. Staff members ensured the safety, health and welfare of their students to par. You get what you pay for, that was top quality care.
When one walks into the facility, there were posters demonstrating each child’s work, flyers and postings about what each class was learning, homework assignments were given and I saw my children thrive. When one walks in they will also see pictures of other students actively playing. When there is outside time several teachers are outside and several teachers were watching students and they were on top of the welfare of their students. I did not see children out of sight of staff members. I saw the staff engage with the students and interact with them it was a very family friendly facility.
I would stop by sometimes and see what my child was doing. Staff heard concerns and they addressed them with you so that you could have a happy place for your child and everyone’s needs got met.
They also insured safety and if anyone came in that they did not recognize staff immediately asked what they could help them with. There were no safety concerns. From my observations, I knew that when I dropped my children off that they were in safe hands and I didn’t have to worry about just anyone walking onto campus wondering around. This was a big plus for me.
During our time there, some staff members were let go. KinderCare does not give leeway to their expectations and if someone does not follow them then they are let go. For me, this assured me that this place was a great place to be. It was not about the length that someone had been there, it was about the quality care that was provided.
I have walked into other centers and wondered around because nobody was around. That is a concern, if I do that as a parent then I am only left to wonder who else walks into those facilities and takes things. KinderCare always made sure that student information, log in sheets, files were kept in a private area where nobody had the ability to get to them. Privacy was respected.
Meals were provided, all meals. Breakfast, snack, lunch and then an afternoon snack. Each child was accommodated for in regards to their diet and food needs. Lactose intolerant kids had soy milk provided for them and food was made accordingly. I always knew what was being served.
Once the students were in pre-​k, they were given homework assignments that were due at the end of the week. These assignments consisted of writing their name (first and last), tracing numbers, letters and doing connect the numbers/abc’s. Even full time working parents could accommodate these things. There were always events for parents to go to, craft time for parents to come to, etc.
Classroom sizes were age appropriate and the setting was very intimate. Not once did I worry about over crowding. This facility is set for children.
The brightly decorated classrooms, hallways, and welcoming staff really made this place a great place to be. I don’t see that excitement and liveliness in other facilities. Most importantly, the staff was honest. Their honesty built an amazing reputation and place to be. I truly hope that anyone who takes their children there has the type of experience I had.
I hope that one day if I have more children that we will experience this same experience whether it is at this facility or another one. I have toured other KinderCare’s and the staff members are always encouraging, grateful, and respectful to everyone. At each KinderCare I ran into the same things, art work filled the hallways, meals were provided for, safety was ensured, there were lock doors and each staff member immediately greeted somebody that walked in.
I also saw teachers take students to school and do pick ups The staff member really paid attention to the students getting on the bus, they walked next to the students and made sure that each child was walking in a safe place. There were no children left behind or even in a position to get hurt while they were getting on that school buss or off that school bus.
There are too many stories on kidnapping these days, lack of care, abuse, neglect, and deaths. As a parent, this facility and sister schools were by far the best experience I have ever had.
I don’t think facilities can get much better then this.

Overrated and overpriced. Unless you want your kids moved from classroom to classroom when the ratio gets too high. The director screams at the employees in front of the kids and staff. Berating the employees is unprofessional. Walk away!
