I took my 2yr old son for his first optometrist appt today. I was so nervous that he wasn’t going to cooperate, but Dr. Odish was absolutely amazing with my little one! She was so patient and did everything she needed to diagnose my sons eyes. They have fair prices and everyone there was so helpful and nice! And the office was so clean and well kept! I’m so glad I choose this office!

Great place! I would recommend this place to my family and friend. Only reason why I gave it four stars is because it took a week and a half for my prescription lenses to come in. Once I got them though, they were worth the wait. I love them and I’m getting many compliments.
John, the office manager, was the one helping me select my frame. He was very knowledgeable & helpful! You could tell he enjoys his job & cares about the patients.
Oh and they have a variety of frames to choose from!

She was through and made sure I liked my contacts before committing to an order of the trial pair. It turned out that the trial pair wasn’t strong enough so I went back to order another pair. They were also very helpful every step of the contact fitting.

This place is outstanding! By far the best service I’ve ever had going to the optometrist. From the moment I walked in the door, everybody was so polite and so attentive. I was in and out in no time and I had an eye exam, contact fitting, and picked out new frames. I had also purchased the Groupon deal: $ 49 for an eye exam and $ 125 toward designer frames and prescription glasses and lenses. It saved me a ton! They had even worked with me and gave me an extra credit towards frames and lenses since my insurance covered my exam. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

Unlike the other reviews about the Groupon, I had a great experience!
I bought the deal for $ 49 towards $ 200, but prior to buying I went there, picked the frame (no they did not make me buy 2 pairs), then called back with the Groupon number. I ended up getting a really nice pair of glasses for cheap. The person who helped me pick was knowledgeable and very helpful. They had a great selection.
There was a little miscommunication when picking up the glasses (which arrived in less than a week) so the optometrist himself called me and delivered the glasses to me. He was very very nice.
Overall my experience was really positive

I had such a great experience at this office. Sandra and Dr. Odish are both Amazing. I make the drive to El Cajon from North County because I trust Dr. Odish completely. My 10 yr old son Loves the office too. I have referred all my friends and family to the office and I’m sure they will have the same great service as I received. PS YES.. I purchased a groupon as well…

Seconding the reviews below. DO NOT buy this Groupon! The deal states these two options:
— $ 49 for an eye exam and $ 125 toward designer frames and prescription glasses and lenses
— $ 59 for $ 200 toward designer frames and prescription glasses and sunglasses lenses
And according to them, that little word «and» for the second option means that you have to buy TWO pairs of glasses. Advice: make your terms absolutely clear and don’t try to fool your potential new clients.
Groupon is awesome for understanding and refunding my order. Avoid this place like the plague.

They were professional and had great equipment! I also purchased off the Groupon and bought a contact prescription (nominal) and glasses as well. While it was not the «best deal» I ended up with high end glasses for a reasonable price and was treated well. Their level of consideration, friendliness, and competency is strong and they will probably become my normal local optometry office.

NO WHERE ON THE GROUPON DOES IT SAY YOU MUST BUY TWO PAIRS OF GLASSES. NO WHERE!!! Total scam! (I felt bad for the guy helping me pick out glasses, he seemed well intentioned… however this is obviously an unethical company).

I had the same experience as the other two here.
Went there because of a groupon deal. Apparently the eye exam does not include contacts exam (which was the main reason for going) and because I was using the groupon they couldn’t just replace the lenses in my current frames. I had to buy a whole new set of lenses and frames (they even said I could just do the lenses if I didn’t have the groupon)
I had them do an additional contacts exam for an exorbitant fee and they gave me a set of different contacts to try before I order ones with my new prescription. Apparently they gave me something other than my prescription because the ones they gave me were fine and I left feeling OK. But then I ordered my new prescription and they fit like crap and one eye is very blurry. Also the new lenses and frames started to fall apart as soon as I got them and they have something stuck under the edge of the frame (orange paper of something?)
also they dilated my pupils and then when i was done, expected me to drive home in the bright sunlight! i could barely see!
NEVER go to advanced vision! they are overpriced, unprofessional, money grabbing idiots who should not have a license to practice.

STAY AWAY!!!
Same problem. I bought a deal through Living Social for Complete Eye Exam, $ 80 Toward Prescription Lenses and Frames, and 10% Off Sunglasses
«Avoid making a spectacle of yourself with today’s deal from Advanced Vision Care Optometry: Pay $ 50 and receive a complete eye health exam, lenses and frames valued at $ 200, and 10% off sunglasses (a $ 200 value)».
When my daughter went in to get her eyes checked she was told that there was a $ 50 fitting fee for the contacts also. $ 75 if there was an astigmatism. WOW! What a scam! The sad thing is that there were 143 of these deals sold so in San Diego. No where does it say that there are any additional fees or may be additional fees.
Needless to say, I won’t be buying anymore deals through living social and especially not for this vendor.
