As the founder and President of both APS Technology Group Inc. and APS Access Professional Systems Inc., Russ has provided leadership and guidance in the access control and transportation fields, beginning with Access Professionals over thirty-​five years ago. He has managed continual enterprise growth over this period and is well known and respected within the industry. Russ brings his extensive management experience to every project and oversees the staff of engineers, technicians and support personnel towards the successful completion of all projects.

They’ve been out literally 15 times to fix a gate. Their people providing professional recommendations should be the technicians and not the sales guys. They made the sensor area too small for gate area and gate has hit multiple cars. Their recommendation of course is to change out all the motors. Do your homework. I wouldn’t use them again.

I was riding in a disabled scooter at HomeDepot today at 5:10pm in El Cajon, and one of the drivers from this company not only cut me off when I clearly had the right of way, but then sat in the truck and blocked me from continuing to my car until he could move into the next lane. Any employee of a company that would be that incredibly rude to someone disabled, not to mention the safety issue, tells volumes about the mentality of the company and how they treat the public, which will also be a good indication of how they would treat a customer. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone with this type of attitude.

I have an electric gate at the end of my driveway that broke about a year ago. I first called another company and after 4 attempts at fixing it over the course of 6 months it was still broken. I called APS and they sent Jason who, in about 30 minutes, fixed it and even put a new chain on it and removed the mess of a box on the wall that the other company had installed. It took some thinking outside the box because it’s an older gate and the problem was a little complicated but he got it done and quickly and the price was way less than I had paid the other company. It works perfectly now.

APS has serviced our community gate for 10 years. Recently, their ability to diagnose a problem has been in the gutter. Our gate opens spontaneously and when a car goes through it takes the gate 3 or 4 tries (partially closing and reopening) before it finally closes. The service person say it could be the trees affecting the police sensor. Even if that is the case, it is APS who chose the location to install the police sensor. Meanwhile, the faulty operational gate reduces security in the development and causes us to incur more costs in repairs. Looking for a new service that knows how to diagnose problems.
Finally, Supervisor Al came out and all is working properly.
