I used to go here all the time. Almost three times a week. The past four orders I’ve had here have been awful. I have not returned.

Really great food! I ordered the burrito and tamale. Tamale is one of the top 3 best tamales I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve eaten a lot. The burrito was pretty good as well. The meat in both tasted great and was really juicy, unlike most Mexican restaurants. I would definitely go back again and try something else.

Horrible place to go to. Service sucked. The food was awful!!! The sign says real authentic Mexican food. Which was a completely lie. I asked for carne asada tacos and they give me some weird watery meat. And the cheese tasted gross, i got two little pieces of lettuce and my taco was soaked in grease same goes for my quesadilla. If I held it to one side grease would pour out. The cheese was like plastic. The frijoles didn’t have enough salt. The rice was bad. I’d rather eat taco bell then this dump. Had the runs for a whole day. Makes my stomach hurt just thinking bout it. Oh yea. Salsa was just water. Literally tasted like tomato paste.

Great food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. What more could you want. How about fast service, they have that as well. I have been many times and had only disliked one dish. Can’t be perfect every time. My daughter loves it. They make her feel special each time. They are in s strip mall with several Other restaurants so parking can be a challenge. It’s s popular section. For anyone who remembers El Rancharito, this place is very comparable. It’s a great compromise when everybody wants something different. They have a large menu and the difficulty is deciding on what to have.

Fresh guac and sour cream. Good portion. Typical Mexican restaurant prices. Came for lunch– had a lunch chimi. Was in and out in 30min.

My husband and I both pick Los Tres Amigos when we crave Mexican fare. The Margs here are tasty, but we usually opt for those cute little Coronitas they serve. Chips and salsa are always fresh and delicious. What my husband loves is the side of steamed veggies he can sub for the rice. I almost always order Pollo Loco which is pan seared chicken breast with a little red sauce atop and served with guacamole salad and traditional rice and beans. I love that guacamole salad! The place is always busy and the service always good.

I have been excited to try out the various Mexican restaurants in the Edwardsville area. Mexican is one of my favorite types of eating out. I love margaritas, chips and salsa, delicious meals with beans and rice! And often times one Mexican restaurant blends in with another. But, unfortunately, Los Tres Amigos does not blend in… it stands out… in a bad way. Mainly, the food at Los Tres Amigos is lacking. Service was fine, the atmosphere is ordinary, but the food lacked flavor. I had pollo loco, which was a thin chicken breast served with a bland ranchero sauce with a side of guac, pico, lettuce, rice and beans. My boyfriend tried the chili verde with pork, he said it was okay but nothing better than making homemade marinated crock pot pork. The chips were served cold, rather than warm. The salsa was fine, a think purée style salsa with a few onion chunks and cilantro. The margaritas were decent, maybe the best part of the meal. I think I’ll stick with La Fonda.

Los Tres is a very tasty and very traditional American-Mexican restaurant. Los Tres Amigos offers a very reasonably priced menu with delicious food. They also feature various drink specials each day of the week. I visit Los Tres Amigos nearly every Tuesday for the $ 1.99 margarita specials. Unlike many Mexican restaurants that serve very weak margaritas when the margaritas are on special, Los Tres serves a healthily strong and tasty margarita that is absolutely one of the best in St. Louis. The best part about the whole Los Tres Amigos experience, though, is the incredible wait staff. Even when the restaurant is bursting at the seems, the waitstaff is always on top of their game. I have never had to wait for a drink to be refilled or order to be taken. Mario, the manager, truly wants to get to know his customers, and he regularly jokes with and talks to the customers. The waitstaff is the biggest reason that Los Tres has so successfully amassed such a healthy number of «regular» customers. An all around great place to dine!

The most potent margaritas around! Like a previous commenter said, the food is ordinary Mexican food, but the margaritas give you the best bang for your buck! We got a 27oz margarita for $ 4.50 and my boyfriend and I have learned to share because they are so strong. Plus they taste really good. Not like El Maguey’s $ 1 from a bottle junk. I tell all my friends to go here!

I really like their salsa– just give me a spoon! The frijoles are homemade and fresh, as is the guacamole. Interesting chicken entrees. Chile relleno is homemade, not frozen. Reasonably priced, plus quick and friendly service. Very willing to accomodate special requests.

Food wasn’t bad — but just completely ordinary and not memorable at all. One thing I do recall — chips were not good. This is the first thing you eat at a Mexican restaurant — shouldn’t these be a «showcase» item? We have too many good Mexican eateries in town for me to fool with this place again. BTW, the one in Wood River is a little better– 3 stars.
