I have ate here for over 25 years. I drive quite a distance for the food, at first it was only for the food, then it became a place with a nice atmosphere after the add on and expansion. Now they have continued to change the menu, raise the prices and give less food. I ate my last Gyro there tonight, it might have been the worst I ever had. I miss you hole in wall Kafe Neo. Not the 5 stars they got 4 years ago.

Normally I love this place and it would be a 5 star every time, however I went on my lunch break yesterday. Business was very slow, when I arrived I was the only person in the restaurant. I sat down and waited about 10 minutes for my food. The bread for my gyro was toasted and crispy(not what your normally look for in a gyro) and my fries were definitely over cooked almost to the point of tasting burnt. All in all pretty disappointing.

I opened my chicken plate when I got to work and thought that the food was missing or someone ate it. Found out that’s the initial quantity. It’s honestly a joke. Hahah. Go eat at Mediterian Kitchen! Not coming back.

Kind of out of the way, and a bit expensive, but the menu is extensive, and there are a ton of vegetarian friendly foods here. Great espresso as well. Tasty homemade hummus. Definitely going back!

I have been having a food love affair with this place for at least 13 years. I love their gyros — especially the Spartan pork gyro. Yum!

Never again… Way over priced for what u get. The meat is poor quality, the veggies were too oily and the salad was a cheap joke(terrible dressing),

Dear Kafe Neo, thanks for having the rudest employees ever. Its pretty pathetic when you sit on hold for over 5 mins just to have the negative old hag(who kept calling me «hun» which just a side note it is NOTOK to call a customer«hun») on the phone tell you that you are not as important as the customers that are actually in the store and maybe I should just come down and wait in line. I’m sorry but I have a real job with a timed lunch break and I always order ahead of time because otherwise I wont have enough time to eat. I was going to order food for my whole department at work and with their ridiculously high prices(too high for the mediocre«Greek» food they serve) it would’ve cost me around $ 100. Maybe some training for your employees on how to treat customers and how to manage stress when it gets busy could help them; because right now your employees’ «customer service skills» are pretty pathetic. I have given this place too many chances and this was the straw that broke the camel’s back… so I will be taking my business elsewhere.

So let me just say I’m giving Kafe Neo 1 star if even that. I have been here a couple of times durning my lunch hour with some co-workers and I never had a problem even though prices were a little high. This past Friday I went with a co-worker and not to happy with the outcome due to I ordered A veggie gyro. They have lunch combos that come wih a drink and feta fries if you want but the veggie gyro wasn’t on that menu so I asked the girl if I can do a veggie gyro with the lunch combo and she said No we don’t do that. I paid seperate for my drink and side order ok fine so I go to find us a table that was dirty had to ask the busser to clean the table, then I needed a fork and they had forks rolled up in napkins in a tub next to our table so I asked the girl if I can have one and she said no, someone will bring you one, by this time i’m really upset eating my lunch. The girl ends up taking the fork from the tub and hands it to me ok. Overall I will not be back due to horrible service, If you want people to return you need to give good customer service.

We went as a family(not a great kid atmosphere) that was highly recommended by friends of ours. My kids got the same as we did which were their traditional gyros with fries. The service was ok, nothing special. The fries were bland and so was the tzatziki which I was surprised by. The gyro itself was ok and again nothing special. The baklava was not fresh tasting which for me, a lover of sweets was not good. I’ve had much better but if you just want a gyro it’s better than a fast food mall one.

I’ve been hearing about this place for years and finally had an opportunity to go last week. YUM! I started with the Dolmas(delicious and definitely freshly made!) I then tried their chicken Gyro dinner with salad and greek fries. All was delicious and there was so much food that I needed a to go container. While I didn’t try them, I was impressed that they even offered gluten-free gyro options!

Love it. I used to go to the one in Marysville but this one has more options. The food has always been great every time I go. Their special fajita gyro was excellent. My sister got the salmon gyro and said the same thing.

Menu has been standardized for the most part, we are back to enjoying this place. I find their falafel platter is one of the best around. Falafel patties are freshly done up right and I really like the feta cheese stuffed grape leaves, yum-o! Lunch service is a tad weird, order at the cashier and they bring it out to you, dinner service is always pleasant.

The name is catchy. Food is blah. Service was blah-er. The place looks great from outside and inside. It helped that the weather was nice to sir outside. The food wasn’t good at all. I ordered a hummus plate. I know hummus as I’ve tried in 10 different countries including where it actually originated from. The hummus was not good at all. It was watery and tasteless. It came with pita that was cold, along with veggies, that weren’t even cut properly for a hummus dip. Not going here again. DON’T recommend it.

I have been coming to Kafe Neo for as long as I’ve lived in Edmonds. I remember when it was a little hole in the wall and you could get an entire meal for $ 8. Since then the interior has gotten a facelift and the prices have raised a TON. They charge extra to eat in the restaurant, it’s absolutely ridiculous. I could understand an up-charge for a beautiful location on the water, but not on highway 99. With that being said, I usually grab my food to go. I will not be eating in the restaurant again. They are fast with takeout orders. My parents love the traditional euros. I don’t eat much red meat so I take their word for it. The chicken is alright, somewhat dry. The greek fries are amazing. The staff is extremely charming and friendly.

Kafe Neo has been around since I can remember — at least since I was a toddler. It wasn’t until I discovered gyros as a teen that I would come here every once in a while and on my way home from class in college. It started out as a small little humble shop, but in the last decade has received a remodel and has classed itself up. This was also around the time they started expanding their ventures to the additional Kafe Neo in Mill Creek, and the off-shoots Demetri’s in Edmonds and Tablas, also in Mill Creek. All of which have excellent food, but this is the source from which it started. Kafe Neo is still excellent as it was when I started coming here despite their remodels, expansions, and new projects. Whenever I have a craving for Greek cuisine, I know I can come here(or the other two Kafe Neo locations) and have consistently good food. That is more than I can say for another local Greek restaurant group who has been on the expansion train. I get into the habit of just ordering the gyros each time I come here(they’re just so tasty!) but last night decided to mix it up and get the souvlaki. All I can say is: Oh. My. God. I may never go back to the gyros. I ordered the lamb souvlaki which comes with your choice of soup or salad, and also your choice of side(I chose the rice pilaf) and veggies. The lamb was so juicy and flavorful I couldn’t stop from«mmmmm“ing and momentarily experiencing heaven with each bite. Seriously. I am still craving it the following day! Usually, you may have an excellent main dish with so-so sides, but the vegetables and the rice pilaf were also seasoned and cooked to perfection. If I somehow committed murder and ended up on death row I was certain that this, with my glass of wine, would be my very last meal. Kafe Neo is the type of place you want to support. It’s a local business that started from extremely small roots but is slowly but surely gaining momentum into something even bigger. It’s the type of place you want to cheer on while you enjoy everything the menus have to offer. The people behind the counter and the waitstaff are still just as friendly, and the food is just as good. If not better.

My cousin and I decided to have lunch here today. She insisted that I try the Neo Gyro(a specialty gyro), which had sun-dried tomatoes, avocado, lettuce, and a basil sauce on top of chicken. It was delicious! :) My cousin ordered the Athenian and she seemed to enjoy that also. We ended the lunch with an americano and a latte that hit the spot. I would definitely come back. Side note: They decorated for Halloween! :) The interior was really cute~

Great food, beautifully decorated, friendly staff, quick service. Perfecto! The best thing we have there is simply the traditional gyro and the Greek frys with the feta cheese. And for dessert you have got to try the baklava!

Mill Creek location is better. Veggies aren’t cooked, chicken is dry. Disappointed. Got the Chicken Souvlaki tonight. Don’t I’ll be back, maybe the other reviews have merit… Such shame

Wow, this place was a huge disappointment. The prices were too high. The default gyro was beef not lamb and really lacking flavor. Our food was served to us with the napkin wrapped utensils resting directly on top of the food. This is not only odd(putting paper on my fresh food) but also pre-uses the napkin since it’s soaking up the food. The Greek salad was drenched in dressing(I’ll add a pic of the left over dressing in the bowl) and was prepared in a very thrown-together manner(tomatoes left in huge chunks, imbalance of ingredients) . Overall, I was completely underwhelmed and will advise others to go elsewhere for Greek /Mediterranean food.
