Frosted Cupcakes & Cakes

Thank you for the beautiful cupcakes!!!
I ordered online a few days early and although I was too busy to talk on the phone we were able to coordinate everything through email and the cupcakes turned out exactly how I imagined.
The cupcakes tasted a little dry but the strawberry buttercream frosting was one of the best I’ve had.

The cake was well-​decorated but the taste was so bad that most of the guests and even kids left their plates after tasting it. Among 35 guests, none of the them said it was a delicious cake. In fact, some of my close friends, came to me and said where did you order this. I said Edmonds and they said, be careful next time. I wasn’t expecting this in return for $ 240 for a single cake!

I live out of state for the time being, but wanted to plan a fun gender reveal for my parents to find out the gender of my baby — their first grandchild. I did a Google search and saw great reviews of this bakery. One quick phone call and the cupcakes were all planned out and paid for, with a very quick turnaround. My parents raved about how much fun it was to bite into the cupcakes to find out the gender and said the cupcakes were absolutely delicious!
I could not be more happy with how it all worked out — thank you, Stephanie, for making it so easy to pull off a long distance surprise! I know my parents will never forget it. When my husband and I move back to the area, we’ll be repeat customers for sure!

The most absolutely fabulous cakes, cupcakes, and cake pops for my daughters first birthday! Delicious and amazing tasking, Stephanie was an absolute delight to work with even though I asked a million questions and gave her the most impossible pictures to re-​create and yet she pulled it off perfectly! A little pricey but you want a professional and sometimes you have to pay for that experience. I will literally come back here for every cake, every occasion, every time!

Stefanie Buono is the most amazing cake artist I know! She has made me many cakes! Each one of them never have disappointed! (I’ve had quilted peacock cakes, star wars, minions, penguins, etc and I’ve even had a batman in a minion costume cake!) She communicates with me greatly, understands what I want and makes magic happen! Most of the time I send her some ideas, ask her for her opinion and I trust her 100%. The cakes look way better when I listen to her ideas! My best friend ordered my cake their Stefanie as well, and I fell in love the moment I saw it! Any time I order a cake from Stefanie, the entire staff at the restaurant wants to know who and where! Not only they look incredible but the tastes! OH MY GOODNESS!!! Her prices are great, her cakes are great and she is extremely friendly!

We ordered a graduation cake. It was cute, but the cake was dry and did not taste good. I will not order from here again I’m afraid.

Did such an amazing job on the Monster Cake for our kid’s Birthday! Looked wonderful! Tasted great! I could not have asked for a better finished product! We will definitely be using her again. ThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyou.

I ordered BMW cupcakes for my husbands birthday and they turned out AMAZING!!! I will be going back in the future and would highly recommend Frosted to anyone I know!

Well she did a beautiful oh the places you’ll go cake for my sons first birthday. A masterpiece. I’ll definitely be using her again!

We requested ‘Curious George’ cupcakes for our little one’s birthday and we were not disappointed. The monkeys and polka dots were adorable and the pickup location was very convenient to get to in downtown Edmonds. Not only did the cupcakes look great but they tasted great too!

Got to try these at Unilocal’s 10^th Burstday party and my were they good! Both were chocolate cupcakes but one had a white frosting and one a chocolate frosting. The white one I think was just the standard buttercream and it was really good. But oh… the chocolate one… it was like light and fluffy hot chocolate in my mouth. It took everything I had not to grab them all and lick the icing off them. :D Will definitely remember her in the future if I need cupcakes or a cake!

She nailed the cricket themed cupcakes. I sent her pictures of a cricket bat, ball, stump, wickets and she nailed them. They were $ 3.25/piece. It was tasty and all our guests loved it and especially my husband loved it.

Last September (2012) our daughter turned 1 and we bought several dozen mini cupcakes for her birthday party. They were a hit! Pickup was easy, they got our order correct, and the cupcakes were delicious! We are about to order again for her 2^nd birthday, so I will be sure to update the review if necessary. Otherwise, we highly recommend!

Awesome cupcakes. The owner is super accommodating and the the cupcakes were a hit! She even delivered them up the street for me. With all the cupcake bakeries around this one is my favorite!

I bought a groupon for Frosted Cupcakes since I have gotten candy at Nama’s and always love a good cupcake. Took my husband with me to pick up our cupcakes and of course we had to try them. They were the best! The Smores Cupcake was to die for, yummy top layer of marshmallow perfectly torched. We ate 3 of the 4 cupcakes sitting in the car and had to save the 4^th for our daughter, would have eaten all 4 but we told her we were bringing her a cupcake. The Carrot cake cupcake was the best. My Husband said these are the best cupcakes, better than the 2 stores closes to us. Thank you Stefanie! We will be back for more.

Product:
Chocolate — 3 stars — thought the chocolate frosting with the chocolate cake was a little over the top and very rich. If you are into chocolate on chocolate action you should give this a go.
Red Velvet — 4 stars — Delicious! Frosting was great would have gotten 5 stars but the bottom of the cupcake was a tiny bit dry. Better than Trophy and Cupackae Royale
Carrot — 5 stars — Best Carrot Cupcake I’ve ever had, no raisins (that I could taste.) Fantastic. Better than Trophy and Cupcake Royale
Why 3 Stars? SERVICE and Limited Selection.
Disclaimer: The following situation is probable unique to me and should not detract from people who just want to get a good cupcake.
Situation:
Had a group-​on and called Frosted on a Saturday to get some cupcakes. No one answered the phone and message informed me that group-​ons had to ordered over 24 hours in advance. So I placed my order for the following week. Go to the store where they tell me that my free cupcakes now require that I pay tax. To finish this off the screwed up my order.
How they handled this:
Upon me asking why the cupcakes in my box did not match the sticky note with my order. One of the two girls behind the counter, viewed the box and called the kitchen to see if they had what originally ordered. Nope. So my options were, take what I have, switch out the wrong cupcakes for the limited cupcake selection they had in stock. I asked for a chocolate replacement from there kitchen located with in a block. Some lady comes in with the cupcake and is looking at the floor and making no eye contact and doesn’t say a word. I thought maybe someone beat her prior to her showing up based on her body language.
What they should of done:
1) Send out an email to all group-​on people letting them know that they will have to pay tax on the item and that they need to call 24 hours in advance. It’s called the fine print section and they should really eat that cost because because it wasn’t added to the stipulations in the group-​on contract.
2) Customer service like «I am sorry» or maybe «We screwed up. How about you take these cupcakes and we will give a couple of complimentary items for our mistake.» There was no apology or real acknowledgement that anything went wrong. They viewed that I was upset and I felt they didn’t do anything to make me want to revisit the establishment.
Hence — 3 Stars

I’m late getting to this review, but Stefanie made me baseball themed cupcakes for our baby shower. They were amazing!!! I emailed her pictures of the baseball logos we wanted (including the old school mariner triton) and they looked beautfiul!
Everyone was blown away by them. We ordered strawberry shortcake — so yummy filled with fresh strawberries inside — which means you have to eat them in a day or 2, wait too long and the inside will go bad :(. We also ordered coconut and red velvet. They ended up being around $ 3.25 apiece which was a great deal. I liked them as much as Cupcake Royale, and waaaay more than Trophy Cupcakes.

I have tried so many of her flavors (available at Nama’s candy store in downtown Edmonds) and each time I feel like the cupcake I’m enjoying is the best I’ve had. Her prices are affordable and she’ll work with you on your order, she’s very accommodating.
I have had the luxury of buynig her cupcakes for several birthday parties over the years and everyone always tells me that they are the best they’ve had, too. They disappear immdiately — I always think I’m ordering enough and they’re always gobbled up before I have time to set an extra one aside for myself. Order WAY mroe than you think you’ll need, because people will be sneaky — I’ve seen this happen a few times: they shove a cupcake down their throat, dispose of the wrapper, and grab another one and act like it’s their first. And these are adults!
You will be pleasantly surprised at the craftmanship and care that goes into each treat. Stefanie is a joy to work with!!!

I had a taste of the passionfruit and mojito cupcakes last week – very yummy. I think they’re better than Cupcake Royale and the other popular shops. Moist, unusual flavors that go well together.

Frosted makes the best cupcakes in Seattle. The search is over — they are delicious!!! While researching dessert options for our wedding, my fiancé and I sampled treats from the most highly rated bakeries in Seattle. When we discovered Frosted cupcakes, operated out of Nama’s Candy Store in Edmonds, and the search for our wedding «cake» was over. Admittedly, I usually pass on cake, but these cupcakes are the best I’ve ever tasted. Rich, moist, and flavorful — we had trouble deciding among the range of cake and frosting combinations, so we ordered four different cupcakes for our dessert buffet. We weren’t disappointed!
Compared to some of the other vendors, working with Stefanie was a breeze. She is professional, prompt, and doesn’t miss the details. She arrived at our reception site to set up the cupcakes herself and they looked great and tasted delicious. With all of the balls we were juggling, it was great to know that this aspect of the reception was totally under control from start to finish.
I realize that this is the first review of Frosted, but it certainly won’t be the last. Stefanie’s service and product were both fantastic! If you’re looking for cupcakes for your wedding or another event, Frosted is the way to go!
