Aaron’s Gate Country Get-Away

We stayed in The French Hen to celebrate our anniversary. The pictures on Aaron’s Gate website really don’t do it justice. The cottage is lovely. The décor is perfect for the theme and the cottage was spotless. The owners were welcoming and sweet, and even left us a happy anniversary note on our door. Breakfast was in the fridge-​waffle batter to use in the waffle iron, vanilla syrup, fresh fruit, quiche, and OJ. There was a coffee pot, coffee, sugar, and powdered creamer. There was also a snack of bottled water, microwave popcorn, and fresh baked cookies. The setting is nicely wooded and feels private. The optional in-​room massage for an additional fee was simply amazing. The hot tub was relaxing and we really liked the shower.
