Wesco Grooming

I have taken my miniature schnauzer almost everywhere in Denver for his haircut and Wesco Grooming is hands down the best place we have ever gone. My senior dog has had so much trouble with skin allergies, and has had some pretty terrible experiences with dog groomers, unfortunately. Jim is super friendly and attentive, and does the very best job on my dog’s coarse hair, and sometimes gnarly beard. I moved away from Denver in 2013 but we still travel gladly to Edgewater to Wesco grooming.

My miniature poodle has anxiety, epilepsy, one eye and history show he hates the groomer. I got him back clean and trimmed from tip to toe and in a good mood. I almost hugged Jim. My dog finally has a steady groomer!

Jim is a great groomer, and, it always makes me chuckle– he calls my dog sister whenever he refers to her, and I honestly think he feels that way about the pets he is working with… that they are like close family members. I feel like my scottish terrier comes out looking like she SHOULD, and, without all the stress of a large petstore that also happens to offer grooming.

Jim does a phenomenal job at a great price. I have an dachshund mix with bad joints and rickets who’s had issues with most other groomers. She makes it difficult to cut her nails. Jim and his staff’s experience with dogs is evident; they know how to pick her up and handle her when cutting her nails. He has resurrected the lost art of being on a first name basis with his customers.

One of the nicest guys, does a great job and is incredibly reasonable and friendly to my dog. Highly recommend.

I’ll be the first to admit– I have a difficult dog. That said, Westco groomers were able to accomplish the unachievable– within five minutes of arriving my pup was snuggling up to the groomer and getting his nails clipped. I’m pretty sure this cost less than ten dollars. I’m sad I have moved from sloan’s lake but I’m glad I was able to find this place while I was there. Sooo much better than the chain stores, can’t recommend this place enough.

I had my little Japanese Chen groomed at this shop last week. It was a wonderful experience! Very caring people. My dog, Murphy, is blind and needs extra care. When I picked him up he was happy and looked wonderful. I couldn’t be more pleased. Thank you!!!

I love this place… my poochie’s have been going for almost 5 years. They have done an amazing job with Chase and Maggie. Even when I moved away from Edgewater to Westminster I still take the time to take them to Wesco. It is worth the drive. If I move further… I would still take the time to take them to Wesco! Jim is great and always so cheerful. Thank you so much for the many years of service. Chase and Maggie love you guys!

Jim does a really good job at his small local grooming shop! Shop local people!!! Avoid the big corporate box stores…
First off his prices are very fair and competitive. His service is top notch, and he got me in for two dogs without too long of a wait.
For me it’s all about how my dogs are treated and cared for when they are not in my care. I can tell you that my dogs were loved and well cared for at this excellent grooming shop. Love me dogs and I’ll be a loyal customer.
Now for the actual grooming– my two yorkie mixes look A-​Dor-​Able!!! Seriously they look great and their cuts were super cute. I gave my directions and wants, Jim followed and delivered on his promise for a great grooming.
This is my first experience with a groomer in Denver and after calling several, I am very glad I went with Wesco.
The customer service and follow up was spot on for my highly demanding needs when it come to my pups.
Best part is how fresh and clean my lil guys look and smell.
I’ll certainly be returning for more grooms and washes.

Jim is an intense lover of dogs and it shows with the thought and time he puts into caring for our dog, Carnita. She always leaves looking great and full of energy. I’m always looking for local businesses to support, and Wesco’s convenient location and great service make this an easy recommendation for anyone on the west side of town.

OUTSTANDING customer service! Jim takes the time to really understand what you want for your pet and gets to know his customers. he is also very patient with difficult dogs and gives lots of tips on how to make grooming the best experience possible for your pup! He stays booked, so be sure to make your appointment about a month in advance!

Absolutely loved it! I had been trying to get an appointment for our Cavalier King Charles but they were always booked, sometimes for weeks. Now I know why! Our pooch Emma got in because Wesco had a cancellation and came back a different dog! She got a cute summer cut, nails trimmed, smelled delicious and even had two bows behind each ear, the first time she looked like a girl! The pricing was very reasonable and everyone in the shop was just great.
Will definitely be back even if that means making an appointment weeks ahead of time!

Wesco so disappointed me. I took my new puppy there for a year. It was ok, I thought, and then I called for an appointment to have Oliver cut shorter for the warm weather and Jim never returned my call, twice. So I tried Petsmart, OMG so much better and less expensive. I also wondered why it took 6 – 7 hrs., to get him back. so thanks Jim, you did me a great service by not bothering to call me back. I found a much better groomer and Oliver has never looked better.

We are so impressed! I called to get my dog an appointment at Wesco Grooming and Jim took about 10 minutes of his time to explain their business and even offered me tips on keeping my dog’s coat nice between groomings. I dropped Fera off at 9am yesterday and she was ready by 1:30. She looks great. The price was great, and Jim and the others there were so friendly and trustworthy. I definitely won’t go anywhere else!

My 3 pups love Wesco! We go every six weeks (My Yorkie’s hair grows super fast!) Jim always gets us in right away and it is so super convenient because we live in Edgewater. I have been to many groomers and Jim quite honestly is the best!

Westco Dog Grooming is by far the best grooming salon we’ve ever been to. As an owner of 3 dogs, we had been looking for someone that could handle our dogs who get overwhelmed easily. Jim is a class act and was able to not only keep our dogs calm, but groomed them impeccably. Book your appointment as soon as you can, it is well worth the wait.
