Helen is so good with my big baby. His nails are hard for me to trim, but Helen is so fast he hardly knows she’s doing it. Plus she just loves every dog she meets. Since he’s a Labrador he doesn’t need a haircut, but he’s a major shedder and most definitely needs a good bath now and then… Helen consoles his hurt feelings at bath time and gives him a cookie when he’s done. Sometimes he gets a new scarf too, which makes him feel especially fancy. We are so lucky to have Helen!

My two doodles need constant grooming. It’s the one downside of having a dog that doesn’t shed. The hair grows in their ears, between the pads of their paws, you name it. So finding a groomer who is great with them and makes it easy for them and me to take them is a big deal. I moved from California two years ago and tried several groomers in the area before finding Helen. We are all delighted and relieved! :)
Why is Helen so good? Because she adores dogs, and she’s sweet with people. She showers them with affection and kindness, and is meticulous about making the cut even and clean everywhere. I’ve learned a lot about grooming — vocabulary, techniques — from Helen, which helps me communicate my desires easier as well as reduce the stress on the dogs during their visit.
I strongly recommend Helen’s Shampooch. Unless you have a giant dog or a dog that you never brush or train to be chill, she’s the groomer you will want to go to. The best part about going to Shampooch is spending time with Helen, she cracks me up and always warms my heart! Good people are precious.

I took my dog here based on all the amazing reviews. My dog was awkwardly shaved and nicked on his balls which the groomer did not even inform me of. She told me it would take 2 hours to groom which it took 3. I wouldn’t mind if I was given a courtesy call. My dog will NOT be going back.

I took my dog to Helen today and I was extremely happy! My dog is like my baby and I had even started cutting her hair myself because it is hard to find a good groomer you can trust. Helen was super sweet and very patient and great with my dog. My dogs haircut looks great and I will be going back to her again when she needs her next cut. Very happy with my experience!

Just moved from downtown to Wheat Ridge area and I was looking for a new groomer close buy. I did some research and was nervous to take my newly blind dog anywhere. Based on the reviews, I chose Helen and I am so so happy I did. Instantly when meeting her, I knew Buds would be comfortable with her. She did a great job and even gave him a cute little bandana ! Also her price was amazing so I was able to leave her a nice tip. I will continue to see Helen for my future grooming needs! Go check her out :)

I will follow Helen wherever she goes. Her energy calms my anxious dog. Her care and attention are much appreciated. It’s obvious that she loves animals and adds special touches like washing their collars or dressing them with bandanas.

All I can say is that Helen shows a lot of care for the dogs she grooms. It was my first time that I tried her out and am pleased with the service she gave me and my dogs. I will be returning. And FYI she doesn’t have her boutique anymore, she does her business
from home.

We LOVE Helen! She is kind and caring and patient with all three of us. Two doxies and a neurotic overbred person! She trims their nails, washes their fur and patiently advises me on all manner of dog and grooming related issues. Truly a gem in Wheat Ridge. Woof!

Helen is my favorite groomer ever! My bichon Gracie can be difficult to deal with but without fail Helen always makes her look beautiful. Her rates are reasonable and the do-​your-​own dog wash keeps my dogs look up inbetween groomings. I recommend her to everyone.

I will give the benefit of the doubt that they were just having an off day as all the other reviews are stellar. My fiancé and I were looking for a self wash place to bath our pooch. There were two staff members on duty who were not overly helpful as far as pointing us in the right direction. I wouldn’t rule out having my puppy groomed there but I will be trying a few other locations first.

Have used now a few times for nail clippings and to wash my dog at their facilities and always been very happy with their service and scheduling flexibility. This last time I decided to use their full groom service and I was really happy with the results. They finished faster than they quoted and even charged a little less than they quoted. Best part was that my dog looked awesome. You can really tell how much they enjoy working with pets by the way they treat your dog too. Very kind and loving. Going back again soon!

Awesome job. Helen washed and furminated my massively shedding lab mix, and did a great job with my miniature poodle mix. They were happy and looked great, and it took her a short time to accomplish such a big job. Wish her shop was closer to where I live. I would definitely take my puppies back here for grooming.

I was traveling and looking for a convenient way to bathe my dog. They were great at showing me the ropes on how the do-​it-​yourself works. I was a novice, but no longer, sure hope I can find a place as nice in California for those times when I might want to do it myself.

Helen has been grooming my hair ball Tibetan Terrier Daisy for 8 years. Eight years with the same groomer kind of says it all, but she does an incredible job EVERY time. She has helped me learn how to do the grooming I need to do between cuts and when I want to let Daisy’s hair grow longer. Helen is a kind soul who truly cares about animals and Daisy knows it! Thanks to Helen’s TLC, we never have amy drama around grooming, only positive experiences. We love you Helen!!!
4÷19÷14 & Daisy still goes to Helen. Loving how bright & open her new work space is. I recently referred a friend & she is as happy as I am with Helen’s expert grooming skills & love of all dogs.

I’ve brought my two big hairy dogs to Shampooch a few times over the last year and overall I’m a fan. The lady who owns the place is always nice when I go in, but she sometimes seems annoyed when I call to schedule an appointment.
Pros:
— Good pricing… better than other places in the neighborhood
— Owner is caring with the dogs
— They always look and smell WONDERFUL when I pick them up
Cons:
— Sometimes hard to get an appointment
— Space is VERY small, so it’s a little chaotic when I drop off my two massive dogs, especially if there are other dogs in the waiting area

I adore Ms. Helen and so does my toy wiener dog, Cammy. She is genuinely kind and loves dogs… even my bratty one. =)
Seriously, she does an incredible job and charges way less than is probably fair.

The woman who runs this place really knows her stuff. I was quite surprised at how inexpensive it was to get my Pomimo (Pomeranian, American Eskimo mix) groomed. She spent 5 hours working on him and only charged me $ 35. I have to admit, I was a little bit concerned with how she makes money at such cheap prices. Definitely good quality work (I’ve never seen my dog so neat and prim).
You can tell she takes real good care of these dogs and has a true love and passion for pets. I spent 20 minutes talking to her about various grooming methods (where I learned you should never buy a grooming brush from an infomerical). I think the only bad thing I could say about this place is she sometimes has zoned out, teenage stoners working the counter (probably a nephew in need of a job). Otherwise, quality work, good prices and extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
I’ll be back for sure.

After attempting to wash our big black lab mix once on our own, we turned him over to Helen’s competent and gentle hands. She does a great job and is personable with both pets and humans. She remembers us even though we visit sporadically and provides thoughtful advice on the best way to keep Watson looking good and staying healthy.
