A clean, well managed and maintained dental office. Dr. Tickoo owns the practice and she has a great team of associates who do a wonderful job. Dr. Irina K is the other general dentist in the practice and believe me, she is a filling dynamite. Her work is neat and accurate, she is completely honest (will tell you straight up if you need or don’t need he treatment irrespective of what was said earlier), no games and money making gigs-​just clean dentistry.
They also have an endodontist and a periodontist in the practice who visit once a week and once a month respectively.
It’s a 5 operatory office that also caters children’s needs (to an extent). Digital X rays and advanced equipment.
The office manager/​receptionist Theresa plays a vital role in the smooth running of the office. She is very efficient and always on her toes to make sure the patients have the best service provided.
I would sincerely recommend this office.

I agree with the above reviews about the bed side manner, but could overlook that if the rest was good.
The Dentist is extremely rough, every time I would go, my mouth and jaw would hurt for days from being pulled so hard. Thats not the worst part, all the teeth she worked on, all of them, now have issues. I have not been able to chew on that side ever since then. I had an issue only with one tooth, she turned it into several.
I also told her I don’t numb easily but yet I am very sensitive to the numbing. I ended up getting heart palpitations right in the chair. When I told them, they sat me up, let it pass and said we will just give you the other version of the numbing medication that doesn’t have the ingredient that gives you the palpitations. SO, why didn’t you give it to me in the first place after I already told you!
I could go on and on but I think that’s plenty.
The front office staff is nice I will give them that, but that’s about it.

The front desk staff member Theresa is amazingly sweet and efficient. She works with my constant rescheduling (I work in Manhattan now) and the fact that I changed insurance. The dentist is ok. She could use some more bedside manner training. She is not outright mean or rude but something about her approach is not as warm or inviting as it should be. Even with my small complaints, it’s a dentist. I am not a fan of being in that chair to begin with so I better just suck it up.

This is the best dentist office I have ever been to. They are professional and hospitable. Dr. Tickoo has always given me an evaluation and treatment plan along with advice and steps to follow at home. The office staff — Teresa is well informed about insurance plans gives you quick breakdowns explaining what my insurance plan covers. This is the dentist office my husband and I use and would recommend them to any and everyone.

My husband and I were looking for a dentist, and we decided to give Skyview Dental a try after calling 1−800-Dentist. Let’s just say, that we could not have been more disappointed. While we were in the waiting room, they called my name to go in first. As any dentist facility usually would do, they walked me to the room where I would meet the dentist. Since it has been more than six months since my last visit, they decided that I needed x-​rays done. The x-​ray procedure itself was not bad. The lady that conducted the x-​rays could have been nicer, but what can you expect.
Once the x-​ray lady was done, I waited in the room for a few minutes. After that, the dentist came in. She greeted me, and then began to get to work. I was in there for a general cleaning of my teeth. In a nutshell, I felt like my face is being showered during the entire procedure. Never in my life did I ever have my teeth cleaned and have so much of the liquid in my mouth jump to my face. Honestly, it was very disgusting. The dentist did not even seem to notice what was happening. Once she was done, I needed to use that typical blue bib that they give you when your sitting in that dentist chair to wipe my face down. As I was wiping my face down, the dentist told me that I had a very small cavity on one of my molars. She said it would be no big deal for her to fill in the small cavity. When she said that, I told her «alright then go ahead and fill in the small cavity.» She then told me, «I won’t be able to do it for you today. You’ll need to set up another appointment and come back for me to fill it in for you.» I found that to be very bizarre for a dentist to not have time to fill in a small cavity on the spot, especially since she JUST SAID it was not a big deal. Before I knew it, the dentist had already walked out of the room.
Now this is where the story gets interesting… I literally was waiting in that chair for about 10 to 15 minutes just waiting for what was next. I kept hearing the x-​ray lady and the dentist walk in the hallway, but they never came in to officially let me know if I was done or not. I started to wonder if they forgot that I was even there. Eventually, I could not take waiting any longer, so I decided to take off that blue bib and just leave the room. I found the dentist in the hallway, and I asked her if there was anything else that needed to be done, and she simply just answered «oh no, you’re done.» I told her that no one had let me know the procedure had ended. She simply dismissed my comment, and instructed me to go to the waiting room.
Right before I entered the waiting room, I saw my husband a few rooms down. I saw him in the same predicament that I was in, which was just sitting there waiting for the «next step». I obviously was not about to have him experience the same thing I just did. I asked my husband «Did they already clean your teeth?» After my husband answered yes, I told him it was over. He gave me the confused face that I had earlier as to how this was possible for no one to let us know we were done. I told him I have been waiting in the other room this entire time until I decided to just get up and go.
My husband at that point took off his blue bib as well and we both walked towards the waiting room. Once we were in the waiting room, the secretary asked us when we would like to schedule my next appointment to get my small cavity filled. I simply told her that I would get back to her.
Once we were headed down the elevator, I asked my husband how his experience was with the dentist. As I was suspecting, his experience was basically the same as mine. Obviously I never set up another appointment to have my small cavity filled at this facility. We will definitely not ever be returning to this dentist office again.
I will say this though. The only competent person in that entire office is a secretary. She was definitely a pleasure to speak with. I think her name was Teresa. Too bad nobody else in that office is as nice or as knowledgeable as she is.
