this place is literally the best. I have been to dozens of dentists lately and none have the experience, professionalism, and bedside manner that the staff has here. they truly are number 1. I recommend them to anyone. The best of the best.

Excellent dental practice… I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled and had my cleanings done here. The wisdom teeth extraction was (honestly) not painful at all and done very skillfully. I get all my cleanings done here as well. This practice is a husband and wife team who are very personable and kind. The environment is very clean and modern. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Honestly this is one of the best places of business (not just for dental) I have ever experienced. I am so happy they are in my neighborhood.

Dr. Lena and Mircea Andriescu are a rare find in this area. I have had the pleasure of being a patient at Prosmiles for the past 4 years and I couldn’t be happier. Dr. Mircea has been my dentist since I moved back to NJ. I’ll admit, I was quite the dental disaster when we first began. I had a less than stellar family dentist my folks have had since I was a kid and ended up losing most of my dental health in the process. From botched root canals and fillings to nerve damage, I was a hot mess! Then came along this guy! It’s been a four year journey and I can tell you, I have never been so happy with my dental health. One by one he tackled all my problems and brought my dental health to pre-​teen levels and I couldn’t be happier. All the bad silver (amalgam) fillings I had have been replaced and the much needed crowns put in place. I was so impressed by his work that I decided to put the finishing touches by signing up for Invisalign with his wife and partner in crime Dr. Lena. Greatest decision of my life! My smile is incredible and the feeling of confidence and appreciation for my new smile is priceless.
I have had been to a few dentists in my life but I can tell you that trust is everything. Both Dr. Mircea and Dr. Lena earn it through hard work, honesty, and exemplary skills. Not to mention they have an incredible staff of dental hygienists, assistants, and wonderful receptionists. Prosmiles truly is a diamond in the rough world of dentistry. I recently moved to Edgewater and I do not have dental insurance so I was looking for a reasonable dentist in the area. Just called, spoke to Stephanie on the phone. She was extremely helpful and I’ve decided to come in for my first visit. I love that they have a discounted plan for people without insurance.

Amazing state of the art office. Dr. Lena Andriescu is extremely attentive to patient’s needs and applies all the latest advancements in cosmetic dentistry. I have referred several friends and neighbors and they all rave about their treatment. Can’t say enough great things about this place

Beautiful facility and the staff is extremely polite and helpful. The dentist was warm and welcoming, and everyone made me feel very comfortable on my first visit there. Making appointments is a little difficult because they are very busy, but it’s worth the wait. My cleaning was very detailed and the hygienist was very delicate and kept me entertained with the tv above my head and constant advice on how to keep my teeth cleaner whiter and fresher. Thank you ladies!

I have known Dr. Lena Andriescuom from our dental school training and she has always exceled in her skills and knowledge. She has an amazing eye for aesthetics, which you can easily tell from just how beautiful her office is.

I never write Unilocal posts, ever. However, I had such a great experience with ProSmiles I had to write one. I’ve been seen by both dentists at both offices.
Hasbrouck Heights:
When I lived in New Jersey, I was seen at the Hasbrouck Heights office by Mircea several times. I’ve got nothing but phenomenal things to say about my experience. The office itself is very nice and easy to find. The hygienist was friendly and thorough, and the receptionist had already verified my insurance before I got there. A visit to the dentist is not always fun (especially if you’re prone to cavities like me), but the doctor and staff all made sure I was comfortable.
I initially went to the office for an annual cleaning /​checkup (because I thought I had another cavity). Dr. Andriescu was friendly, funny, caring, and polite. He filled the cavities that I had and made sure pain was nonexistent. I have been to plenty of dentists but never felt quite as satisfied with their work or had such a comfortable experience. I’ve since recommended this office to friends who live in the area and they all have had similarly positive experiences. Dr. Mircea even called a friend of mine (that I had referred to his office) while he was on vacation because she needed a pre-​chemo consult /​appointment setup. This level of patient care is precisely why I have such a high regard for this office. I’d recommend this office to anyone living in the area (or anyone willing to make a bit of a trek) for great and trustworthy dentist.
Edgewater (2 years later):
After I moved to the city, I didn’t want to switch dentist offices. I ended up making an appointment at the Edgewater office because it was closer to me. I was seen by Dr. Lena Andriescu, and she (as expected) was great. This office was also very nice but comfortable. The receptionist was very friendly and I never felt rushed when I had to call the office (I had to push my appointments around a few times because of commuter problems and she was very patient in working with me to find an accommodating time the same day).
The hygienist was great and funny (in fact, I don’t think I’ve ever met a hygienist so passionate about dental hygiene). So far at this office I’ve had a cavity filled, had a veneer put in, and took impressions for invisilign. Dr. Lena is nice, funny, and professional. What I particularly love about her is that she is a perfectionist and I never feel like she is rushing through an appointment. She is just as concerned with making sure my smile is perfect as I am. When the lab initially sent over a veneer that wasn’t exactly the right color she had them remake it for me. Clearly, she is more concerned with the quality of her work and patient satisfaction than anything else. If you are looking for a great dentist and friendly staff, I would without a doubt, recommend Dr. Lena.
One final, for those of you who are a bit skittish during dental appointments, they have TV screens above the chairs at both offices to keep you occupied, I thought this was s nice touch.

I have to say I had the best experience here in January. The staff is proficient, efficient and committed to the customer experience; I can’t say as much about the oral surgeon who they referred me to for a wisdom tooth extraction. I am soo excited for my appointment in July… I am cavity free for 26 years and plan to keep it that way!

I can’t believe I didn’t know about this place sooner! My friend referred me to this place and from the moment I walked in, everyone has been so friendly and wonderful. I don’t have dental insurance and I really needed quite a bit of work done so I was very nervous. The staff made me feel right at home and Dr. Lena really explained everything needing to be done without rushing me or pressuring me. They also helped me set up all my payments so I’m comfortable with it.
The equipment they have is amazing! They have a little camera that goes inside your mouth and takes pictures of your tooth needing repair so you can actually see it too. And while you’re getting work done you can watch a movie which really gets your mind off the fact you’re at the dentist. They were all super professional and I know this is going to be my go-​to office for a long time! Thanks Dr. Lena & staff for making my appointment such a pleasant and worry-​free experience!

What an amazing dentist office and experience! The staff is very inviting and you feel right at home from the moment you walk through the door. I got a exam, x-​ray and cleaning done. The equipment was state-​of-​the-​art. I was able to see above me on a flat screen at an angle, real-​time large x-​ray images of my teeth. Also during the cleaning, super high quality images close-​up of the problem areas. The dentist was extremely knowledge and professional as so was the entire staff starting from the front desk! I can’t say enough about this place. Best time I’ve ever had at a dentist office!

First discovered ProSmiles thru a Groupon Deal for a Cleaning & X-​Ray promotion. Who knew they’d be the ones I’d call on for an emergency Root Canal months later. I called and the next day they were able to accommodate. Few months later I decided to upgrade my 10 year old bridge work from another provider with ProSmiles and couldn’t be happier with the end result. Smiling and feeling like a million bucks. Note: I had a temp bonded bridge til the final one was ready. Embarrassingly it broke while at Lunch, but they were able to get it fixed immediately the same day at no extra cost til I was 100% satisfied. Clean modern office, friendly staff, wasn’t happy about not being able to pay with my American Express but the Care Credit was helpful when applying that to the end bill.

Before going in to Prosmiles I called to see how much it would be for an initial consultation. I explained to the receptionist that I didn’t have insurance and needed to know up front how much everything would cost. I was told the first visit would be free; I could discuss my problem with the doctor and see what my treatment options would be.
Once in the office the doctor wanted to take x-​rays, I explained again that I didn’t have insurance and needed to know how much this would cost, again I was told that there was no cost. After everything was done I went to schedule an appointment at the front desk and was shocked when the receptionist told me that I owed them for the initial visit. I was told that the initial consult was free only if you schedule treatment with them. Now that policy is perfectly understandable but that’s not what I was told in the beginning. That whole experience caused me to take my business elsewhere. Prosmiles may do fine work but after that I felt like I couldn’t trust them, and for me that’s a deal breaker.

As someone without dental insurance, I struggle to stay on top of my dental health. I decided to visit Prosmiles after purchasing a LivingSocial coupon: $ 49 for a cleaning, x-​rays, and an exam. Normally, this type of visit would cost $ 250+.
Everyone at Prosmiles is extremely friendly and accommodating. Adeena, the appointment setter and receptionist, helped me find an appointment time that worked with my schedule. The dental hygienist went out of her way to make sure I felt comfortable during the x-​rays. Dr. Lena is very skilled and knowledgeable, and she made me feel calm.
The office is very clean and modern, and all the equipment is top-​of-​the-​line. Using a tiny camera, Dr. Lena was even able to show me my cavities and problem areas on a flat-​screen television above the exam chair.
I would love to use this office for subsequent work that I need to have, but the location isn’t very convenient for me. When I requested to have my x-​rays e-​mailed to dentist closer to my home, Adeena did so promptly and without giving me a hard time. I really appreciate this, since my shifting loyalties have nothing to do with my experience. I would highly recommend Prosmiles to anyone who lives in or near Edgewater.

I’m doing invisalign here. Price is reasonable and doctors has good skills. Facility is so modern and clean. You can watch movie while you are whitening your teeth. No complains so far…

Very friendly staff! My sister and I were greeted very warmly by the front desk and the dentist was definitely someone you can trust with your teeth. She explained everything she was doing to us and always checked in to make sure we were comfortable. What surprised me was that they have a small camera that they place in your mouth w hich allows you to see your teeth on a tv screen in front of you. So if you have any cavities, root canals, crowns, etc, you’ll be able to see it for yourself. That definitely helps build a foundation level of trust with a dentist.
The only thing I did not like was when the assistant was taking the xrays. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so uncomfortable and gagged as much as I did as this time. I’ve had these same x rays done at other places and it was never like this. She had to retake some images because they didn’t come out right. A bit of a downer there, but maybe she’s new.
Overall, great place — I would certainly come back here.
