Their sandwiches here are decent, but they’re pricey for what’s in them and the staff seemingly treat everyone with disdain. News flash, your island’s entire economy is driven by tourism! We had just taken a seat in one of the booths and begun to eat when someone came over, announced that she was closing that section of the deli, and demanded that we move. Would it have been that inconceivable to give us 5 minutes to finish? Not going back.

Crazy over priced. Unwelcoming staff. NOT allergy friendly! Find another place to eat.

I would say 3 and a half stars. I like it. Fairly simple and straight forward. Good fries and coke products. Their staff is a little«flat» but I kinda like that. It’s because they are year rounders who live on MV and have seen it all. No gimmicks. Just decent food made quickly. Comparable prices to typical MV places. They’ve been there a very long time.

The owner is very RUDe! The motto on his restaurant window is not what they live by. He just wants the ‘tourist’ money. And those words came right out of his mouth. He told us to leave the restaurant if we weren’t ordering any food because there were tour buses coming. Very riduculous. If you don’t believe me just try having a conversation with the owner:)

We had a very bad breakfast here. The tables are grimy and have had a LOT of wear. We only came here because didn’t want to wait in lines at the better breakfast spots nearby of Among the Flowers Café or Espresso Love. Don’t waste your time here.

Very flat, rude staff. Food extremely mediocre and overpriced. The«grilled» fish sandwich was breaded and caked in low grade tarter sauce. Don’t make the mistake of eating here.

Food was decent. Went for breakfast, fast service. The owner was rude! I likened him to the soup nazi. Threw out a party of four elderly people who just wanted to have coffee. Told them they could only stay if they ordered a full breakfast. One woman was in a wheelchair and since the place is not handicapped accessible, it was a struggle carrying her in and out. Not to mention he stands at the door when you’re coming in and bellows«what do you want!» Much better places in town. Worth the wait to stand in line rather than go here!

We had lobster rolls for lunch. They came in toasted roll slightly buttered. The lobster had a light dressing and no fillers. Just a small amount of lettuce beneath lobster. Service was fast. While not fancy lunch was delicious.

Gosh, I hate to say it, but with all of the other sandwich/breakfast joints in town, I’m not so sure why anyone would come in here in order to get this overpriced junk food. It’s a casual place, but there are plenty of others nearby that are equally casual yet serve up much better food and have a much better atmosphere. You know how islands are so small? You know how we like to chat about the best businesses, the best food and the nicest staff? Well, this place is not on anyone’s radar screen. Go to The Wharf, Humphrey’s, Espresso Love or Among the Flowers instead. Really top notch. I have come here for a badly needed snack with friends and an early morning breakfast with family, and was faced with greasy food, poor, lackluster service and a staggering bill for what I received. No thanks. I’m done.

This place is dump. Bob, owner/cook(I use the word cook loosely) is an a-hole. The food sucks and the attitude was even worse.

After seeing some of the other reviews here, needless to say I was leary. We’ve been here once before and it was only«ok», but we returned this year as it is a highly convenient location. This time, the food was good, and the service was very nice. The prices were about $ 8.95 per sandwich, and were generously portioned. I ordered the steak and cheese on the rare side(as some reviewers complained) and that did the trick, it was great. Overall, a cheaper alternative to many of the island restaurants and good in a pinch. Try getting it to go and taking a walk to the marina or lighthouse for a nice picnic!

This is one of those times when you wish you could give«0» stars. :) Stopped in here yesterday for a «snack» with my husband and daughter. We were going to share a grilled cheese sandwich and fries as it was late in the afternoon. We were the only people in there when we stopped and now I know why. So, what would you pay for a bunch of fries that were under-fried and a grilled cheese with bagged bread from the Stop n’ Shop down the road and 1 slice of cheese? $ 14.76. I am not kidding. I asked if it came with a drink for that price. I make better looking and tasting sandwiches at home. they should be embarrassed for not only serving that sandwich to my family but also to charge that. What a joke. When I mentioned to my husband that they had been around for a long time, he responded that«yeah, at these prices they only have to sell a couple sandwiches a day to stay in business». Haha! Avoid this place at ALL costs — please.

Tourist. Trap. This place is the lowest of the low. Insultingly bad food. Hugely expensive. Mentally deficient staff.

I have come here once for breakfast, and this was my impression: This place is dirty, weird, and gross. There is nothing here that you can’t make yourself, it isn’t cheap, and the food is shitty at best. I’m hoping the deli is a front for some drug thing so they at least have an excuse for being this terrible. The food was edible, but far below par considering the cost(yes, even compared to other Vineyard places). I don’t plan on coming back here ever again, but if I do hopefully it will be better the next time around.

This place is bad. We got some fried seafood sandwiches. The fries were underdone, the sandwiches just blah. I haven’t written a Unilocal review in a while but had to write this one just to save others the hassle.

This place has a ton of options from fried seafood, bagel sanwich’s, to wraps and burgers. Each sandwich is named something funky, after an employee, or some beachtown term. Definitely not cheap or super fast but they do deliver on a tasty meal and being able to order from the counter is nice seeing as though everything else in the area are sit down restaurants. If I were back in the area, I’d come again.
