Specialties

Offering dance fitness classes to improve your strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina! We dance to rock, alternative, and hip-hop music in a fun and creative atmosphere!

There are three different Dance Fitness Classes where each week you will learn a different routine no matter what level you are at you will be able to do the moves and have fun! We start with stretches designed to get your muscles and entire system ready for the dance movements we practice. The sculpting movements are specifically designed to target your large and small muscle groups developing the lean and toned physique many dancers have. You will feel yourself becoming stronger, sturdier, and at the same time longer and leaner with each class as your muscles are conditioned.

Props such as canes, gloves, hats, and chairs will be incorporated into some of the dances as well!

The Monday night class is the only one that requires signing up as we work on one specific dance geared toward a performance or filming for our YouTube channel. It switches every 5 – 8 weeks depending on the song we choose to use.

Looking for a fun and unique way to celebrate a birthday, bachelorette party, or any special occasion? Have a Cabaret Dance Party! We use our intuitive mix of music or you provide a playlist of meaningful music to the person being celebrated. We provide an exciting unforgettable event.

History

Established in 2014.

Vortex Dance Fitness Studio can be found in the Eastworks Building. Park in the West Parking lot, go in the door where you see Riff’s Restaurant and right up the staircase, or go straight to use the elevators just around the corner.

Most of us were never taught to respond to our own bodies’ signals, the most important ones! This studio offers classes designed to do exactly that while having fun and channeling creativity. There’s no greater way to increase body intelligence than connecting creative movements to your breath. Dancing can be considered a meditation as all thought except for the present moment’s movement is ceased. Dancing can be a powerful form of therapy used to work through repressed emotions for release. Setting painful memories free through movement allows us to live to our true fullest potential.

Private and small group sessions are available.
