Almost no beer now… not sure what’s going on. Loved it when it first opened. Hope it comes back to what it was.

Used to have a great selection and I hope they get it back. Very few beers (the place is empty now). Disappointing.

Trubeer has a great selection if you’re looking for craft beers. In fact it’s got the best selection in the area for that. That’s the good part. However, the employees here do have that «I couldn’t make it in Brooklyn» attitude that characterizes so many people working in W Mass’s trendier spots. So I can see how someone who doesn’t care about appearing cool (most people in Easthampton) might feel that the employees are unapproachable. But if you look past the affect and just talk beer, they are very enthusiastic and helpful.

i really want to love this place but it is hard. lots of great beers, some i considered buying were past expiration, not many had prices on them but if you don’t know what to expect you could be walking up with a $ 20 beer. website was down before i went last time so i thought maybe they were closed but drove by and they were open. have been in a few times and it doesn’t seem to be any better than last time. hopefully it gets better. cool store. worth checking out. beers organized by style which is kinda neat.

Great Beer Selection, good to see local beers at such a wide variety and others from around the country.
However, the clerk was gave poor service from the second we walked in. Took photos of us in the store, then a hard time while we were checking out. Very rude and even considered taking our money elsewhere due to this.
As a local in Easthampton, I wanted to show an out of town friend of all the unique parts of the town however this left a sour taste for some great beer…

It looks like someone built a craft beer store into the side of a house which is important to note. There’s a bit of parking on the side and more in the back. The store is nearly all craft beer with a little corner for wine. Beer is separated by style which makes it easier to find what you want. I also like that the store is kept at a reasonably cool temperature and that they’re not blasting light. The selection is editorial and intentional with mainly regional and national craft with some Mikkeller. evil Twin, and the like as well. The guy working didn’t talk much but that’s ok. There’s obviously been a lot of thought and care put into this place and I hope the locals support it. It’s certainly beats the table and vines of the world.

This is craft beer HEAVEN. Western Mass is known for their microbrews, but this store hits the jackpot. It sold all sorts of labels I’ve only seen on BeerAdvocate, and they sell singles too. They have regular tastings, and the night I went it was Moonlight Meadery from Londonderry, NH. And prices for singles were a lot better than I expected. I bought 3 singles and was expecting it to be at least $ 15, but was only $ 7. If I’m ever in Western Mass I will definitely make the detour to hit this place up again.

Other reviewers have covered that they have a great selection, organized by beer style instead of by brand. It’s like a library for beer! Kudos to that! Plus they have Thursday evening beer tastings, and a sale shelf with good stuff they’re looking to get out the door sold at or just above cost.
They’re docked two stars for their surly, disinterested staff. Totally unnecessary and offputting attitude. Tried being enthusiastic to them on several visits, regarding various beers that I was excited to find there. Response has pretty much been eye-​rolling and smugness implying that I should quit the small talk, finish my purchase, and get the hell out. Did these guys cut their teeth at The Dirty Truth or something? Craft beer usually brings about a congenial and positive atmosphere between producer, consumer, and middleman. Not so much here.
Anyhow, it’s an overall good addition to Easthampton, if you can stomach the attitude problems!

The Pioneer Valley has no shortage of good sources for craft beer — Table and Vine, State Street, Four Seasons, Spirit Haus, Provisions, among many others. But this place, because of its focus and its commitment to whatever the smaller US breweries are doing, is unique and an asset to the Valley — and to the microbrewers — that none of the others really are. I can’t help but spend way more than I want to every time I go in, because there are great-​sounding beers I’ve never heard of, because the recommendations the staff have given me in the past have been so good, and because they almost always also have all of my favorites, some of which can be hard to find elsewhere.
It’s a true Mecca for beer aficionados.

I walked in not really knowing what to expect other than what I had heard: It specializes in craft beers. This was by no means an understatement. Here you wont find massive coolers filled with large cases of American lagers that have German names, aisles with bottles of hard alcohol, or large cardboard cutouts of advertisements.
The store is set back on a property which seems to be attached to a large house or apartment complex. It holds a comfortable, dim atmosphere to maintain the quality of the beer. They have a great selection of craft beer, and only craft beer on their shelves. It was only my first experience but I was met with friendly customer service. While looking about I decided to look for a particular type of Dogfish Ale. Raisin D’Etre. The gentleman working behind the counter said he was pretty sure they were out but he would go in the back to check, in which he had found.
If you’re a fan of craft beers you should certainly stop in and see what it’s all about. I look forward to going again during one of their taste testings.

I stopped by here after getting a recommendation from the Berkshire Brewing Company. While they hadn’t been here, they had heard good things, so I figured it was a good stop to pick up some local craft beer.
They had plenty of local products in a cooler, and those were arranged by brewery. No complaints there.
The non-​local beer was arranged by style which made it tough to find all of a breweries offerings. I’ve seen this work for wine stores, but never for a beer store. This did make it easy for me to find all of the lagers (needed for a beer education event).
The clerk was very helpful, and I left with several bottles. When I got home, I checked the best by date on two of the lagers that I purchased to find that they were over a month past their date. Not keeping their stock fresh looses a star from me, but it was overall a good stop to make.
Check your date on styles that are most age sensitive and you’ll do well at Tru Beer.

Great place to stock up from when I am in town visting family. Good Selection and nicely laid out. Love the selection of the local breweries as well many other crafts from across the country.

This store is a «tru» beer lover’s paradise.
People who think the skunk flavor in Heineken is ‘normal’ and is supposed to be a flavor in beer need not apply. Additionally you will not find a single green bottle in this establishment, nor will you find anything sold in 30 packs.
If you’re into flavorful craft brews from all over America, this is the place in the Valley to go. They very smartly have the beers organized by type rather than by brewery and make your experience very conducive to trying a variety of beers by selling most offerings in single 12 oz or 22 oz bottles. Upon entering, grab an empty six pack carrier and start filling it up! What will you get? A Stout? an IPA? A premium lager? You can try them all in one six pack if you wish.
I’m an avid homebrewer but whenever I want to drink something other than my own brews, this is the only place I go now.

(3.5)Overall a good experience. Its fun to go and fill a 6 pack of anything that may interest your palate. During tastings its alittle crammed and hard to move around.
I will admit i was slightly priced shocked especially for some local brews i’ve been able to get for less elsewhere. I will say that Wormtown is probably cheapest here so far.
The folks working seemed a little «hop headed» mind the pun, they are clearly proud but no need for being smug. And cashing out takes a bit.

This place is a 60 minute drive from my house. It’s worth it. (Besides I can find other fun things to do in the Valley while I am here!)
TruBeer only sells American craft beer. That means NO Budweiser, Heineken or any other McWorld style beer. The store is dimly lit to protect the hand crafted beer. The beer is organized by beer style not brewery — which makes sense. I wish more places did this. It’s nice to have all your favorite styles in one spot. This hophead was impressed with the selection. I picked up a six pack of Firestone Union Jack IPA, Ballast Point Sculpin IPA bomber. Two very fine examples of West Coast hops, there is nothing subtle about these beers.
TruBeer also has a local brewery selection. A friendly TruBeer staff member recommended Wormtown Be Hoppy IPA. He stated the brewer of this beer was on another level when compared to other local breweries. Wormtown is the nickname for Worcester, MA from the 1980s local punk scene. The Wormtown bomber was about 8 bucks, but it was more than worth it. The back of the bottle stated it was a west coast style IPA. This beer blew me away with aggressive hoppiness.
TruBeer is for true lovers of American craft beer.

Every time I wander the Micro aisle at Table & Vine, I wish they stocked beer by type and not by brewery.
Finally a place that read my mind. This place has just about every American craft beer available and they are categorized by type.
You can purchase singles, six (or four) packs, or create your own six pack. Prices are reasonable, but these are craft beers from small breweries, so don’t expect Busch prices. Most 12oz. beers are in the $ 2.15 — $ 2.75 range.
Plus they have a ton of glasses and other gift ideas for your beer-​loving friends.
Please check this place out if you are looking for a good beer.

Great concept to bring to Western Ma, but kind of falters in the overall presentation.
Beers are broken down by style throughout the store, they are hoping that people will want to make their own mixed six packs. Great variety of beers from New England and beyond.
Pretty poor service, the cashier didn’t seem to know what he was doing. Hopefully the longer they are open the more personable the store will become.

This place is amazing! A small craft beer store that has almost every micro/​macro beer you can imagine. If they dont have it the owner will tell you exactly why (Its usually because it unattainable). This guy is so knowlegable about beer and is fun to talk to.
Skip the big liquor store and check this place out. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

The best selection of american craft beer in the local area. The rooms are kept free of harsh lighting and the cooler has no lights at all which will keep the beer from going skunky. There are occasional tastings and the quality of the brews and ciders on hand have been outstanding. Since opening, I’ve probably bought 50 – 60 cans and bottles (large and small)
My only negative experience was when returning a bunch of these bottles. I do not believe that the store owner thought they were all purchased from him when I brought back a portable shopping cart full of them and he didn’t hide it very well. He began to chastise me because some of the bottles weren’t completely washed. Most had been. But after accepting the bottles I was told that it was disgusting and that, in the future, he wouldn’t accept them unless they were perfectly squeaky clean. Being admonished in public makes me not want to leave my apartment, sometimes for months due to various social anxiety issues I’m being treated for, so… that was painful. I have not gone back since and I don’t know when or if I will again.
So if you don’t want to be scolded by the owner, make sure returnables are washed completely, even though state law only requires that there be no flowing liquid. Unless you’re thick skinned.
I’ll miss my hard to find ales in the meantime.

This store is a Craft Beer store. So, those of us that crave microbrews, this is the place to go.
Trubeer sorts their beer according to STYLE of beer, not brewery. At the same time, you can mix and match the 6-​packs. Doing so allows you to try many different brews. Also, the owners are keen on bringing in local beers, and beers that are hard to find.
